Congrats Jossie! Great news that your little boy has arrived safetly and healthily!

Glad you had a good scan Kensgirl! Long cycles would definitely affect how far pg you are, My LO is dated at 3 days younger than my LMP (although 2 days older than my OV date). My DS1 was dated 5 days younger than my LMP date. Scans are not 100% accurate!

Janus, try not to worry too much about the movement (easier said than done I know!), at 16 weeks there is still loads of room for baby to 'hide' in and if s/he is facing inwards, sat near the back or your placenta is at the front then you would not feel much yet. Even at 18 weeks there were still days when I felt nothing with this LO and s/he is my 3rd too. Here's hoping for some big kicks for you soon!

LovelyLou, sorry you are having a bad week, it is always difficult approaching a scan but especially if you have been given bad news at one before. It is hard to believe you will not have the same news again but I have a good feeling for you and there is a huge chance this pg will be perfect for you. Keep posting on here and we'll help you get through to Monday - only 6 sleeps until then.

Thinking of you Glimmer! Hoping you are holding your LO by now!

Bouncingturtle · 28/11/2007 08:17

Congrats JossieJump on th safe arrival of your little boy!

Lovelylou - thinking of you, only 5 more sleeps until scan. We'll all be there holding your hand.

Glimmer - Hope you are ok!

EllieG · 28/11/2007 08:46

Hurray for jossie and little jossie!

EllieG · 28/11/2007 08:47

Sorry to be all moany - had a complete panic this morning and last night about my scan - am convinced something will be wrong - what will I do if it is?

sweetkitty · 28/11/2007 08:58

jossie - lovely news congratulations

Big scan day for me tomorrow, am having to go alone though DDs have chicken pox so DP has to stay and look after them, feeling very anxious but I feel deep down quite positive, I wsa sick again last night (was only sick once with DD2 and never with DD1) so think this is a strong one.

Janus · 28/11/2007 10:02

Huge congrats Jossie and welcome to the little one!
Lovelylou, try to stay positive. I just looked on the molar pregnancy support website and they say 'if a woman has a molar pregnancy, her outlook for a future pregnancy is good. The risk that a mole will develop in a future pregnancy is only one to two percent'. Try and focus on that statistic and fingers crossed for Monday.
EllieG, I think it is completely normal to be worried every time a scan approaches, I'm pretty sure all of us dread them rather than look forward to them! I'm sure you will be fine. Do you feel movements? Anyway, good luck for Friday, I'm sure it will be great to see little one wriggling all over the place!
Sweetkitty, good luck for your scan too, is it the 12 week scan? It is unnerving going on your own but just imagine us all in your handbag there with you, willing you on.
Beckle and Bouncing, thanks for your thoughts on my lack of feeling of movements yet. I'm thinking of it more and more this week, trying to feel a movement! Does anybody think if I went to the GP they would be able to pick up the heartbeat to reassure me (or would they think I'm being mad and wasting their time??)?

Mumpbump · 28/11/2007 11:23

Congratulations to Jossie - so pleased for you!!

Fingers crossed for Glimmer - can't find anything from her at all, so I am praying that everything has gone okay for her...

Bouncing - can't believe you're almost full-term now!

Hotchoc - I haven't been able to go back through all the posts - HATE this new format and think I'll try to see if I can change it back to old style - but I gather there is less than good news about your mum. So sorry to hear that. I will keep my fingers crossed that things improve with the chemo and am sending you a virtual hug...

Jules - best of luck with the scan on Friday. I will be thinking of you...

Big hello to everyone else! Who is due next??

EllieG · 28/11/2007 11:33

Well Glimmer is now 15 days overdue, hope she is ok!

Mumpbump · 28/11/2007 21:52

I know Glimmer is with an independent m/w and they will let you go more than 2 weeks overdue unless there is reason to believe the baby is in distress so hopefully that is all it is.

DaisyNightingale · 28/11/2007 23:12

Just seen this and noticed no news from Glimmer???

C'mon babes, don't keep us in suspenders any longer....I remember when that bump was just a tiny little ray of hope and I need to know how he/she (and you) are doing

DaisyNightingale · 28/11/2007 23:13

PS...still BFing at 25 weeks

Bouncingturtle · 29/11/2007 08:22

Daisy - that is fantastic - well done you
I went to a bumps and babes group Tuesday morning, and I was rather heartened to see 3 of the mums breastfeeding, one had a 2week old, one had a 5 month old and one had a 8.5 month old! Really glad because I want to breastfeed and was worried that I would lack support, but if I can talk to these ladies (who make it look so easy ) then that would be helpful. I don't have any friends in RL who have been successful at breastfeeding, nor did my SIL breastfeed her two dds (on medication which is incompatible). So it's nice to see there are people in RL as well as here to share experiences with. Lucky my Dh is very keen to help as well.

hotchoc · 29/11/2007 09:22

Looks like i may be next, my date is now 3 dec!! oh how exciting!!! no offence mad4girls!

Congratulations Josie!

I'm 14 weeks today and had a scan yesterday which showed that my cervix is 6 cms which is apparently good. The dr seemed more concerned that I have recurrent thrush as it can lead to prem labour and is concerned for DP's well being as he's on a bedroom ban enforced by me! I have another scan in 2 weeks and some more swabs too.
