Ejt, how fantastic, congratulations and welcome to Mairwen. Sounds like it was a lovely birth, always good to be uncomplicated! Lots of rest and enjoy little one.
Rubles, where is your news, am only thinking you can't nip to the internet cafe with little one and daughter! Hope you are enjoying your new arrival too.

feedmenow · 02/10/2007 11:03

EJT, congratulations, congratulations, congratulations!! So pleased it went the way you wanted, and look forward to hearing all the details and seeing some lovely piccies when you feel up to it! Love to you all!

gingercat12 · 02/10/2007 11:41

Congrats Ejt!!!!!

nh101 · 02/10/2007 12:05

Congrats Ejt. I am so !!!

I am only 5+1 so please can someone tell me how to get through the next seven weeks without going mental with thoughts of having another miscarriage? Even then I'll probably not believe it is going to happen. Is it possible to be sedated for two months?

positive · 02/10/2007 12:45

congrats ejt

hamabeads · 02/10/2007 12:45

lovely news EJT

I have been to doc today who said as it was brown and only a little then she thought it would be OK to wait and see. As I am seeing MW tomorrow she left it as a wait and see and speak to mw tomorrow. If it gets worse go to A&E.

I have more brown bleeding today again on wiping only but still a worry

positive · 02/10/2007 13:09

Hi everyone,

taken me ages to catch up this morning. glad that everyone seems to be keeping well, even though we all have had our own worries/problems along this journey.

Well I'm 12 wks today and only to wait unitl friday for my booking in appt and scan, totally 's*ing' it about Friday.

Have had a dull back ache since last night and also a few cramps which means the stress levels are through the roof at the moment. Sometimes I just dont feel pregnant even though I have been wretching in the mornings - keep telling myself all is well as we saw HB at 8 +2.
When my DH phoned me earlier to see how I was (he knows I'm worried) he said that he had no idea how I was feeling at the moment. I just want to crawl into a corner and hide. why, when this should be a happy exciting time just make me so miserable, all I want to do today is cry, right now I just hate being pregnant.

sorry folks, just wish today was friday and i'd know for sure if everything is okay.

positive thoughts, positive thoughts

torres · 02/10/2007 13:15

Ejt- congratulations!! that's wonderful news, really pleased for you.

hama-I'm glad the doctor didnt seem alarmed and hopefully the MW can put your mind at rest tomorrow- can she refer you for an early scan?

nh- I had exactly the same thought about being sedated for the next couple of months! my sickness has really kicked in now so I have much less time to be anxious as I seem to be constantly plotting discreet places to be sick!

flosspot- are you coming to the ttc cakes in Nov too? looking forward to it. I agree these early weeks are dragging aren't they. will you get an early scan? It helped me focus on that.

Dondons- you are not oversensitive at all- your boss is very insensitive. I had a similar experience with my mum last week when i rang to tell her I was pg. I said that I was 7 weeks and feeling very apprehensive ro which she replied 'oh your cousin has just had a mc at 7 weeks'. Thanks mum!

Glimmer- good to hear from you. I hope you get on ok at the mw tomorrow and pray your bp is down.

beckle- I saw your recent posts on the ttc thread-they were really moving and I hadn't realised what a tough time you had been through. You always seem so positive- you're an amazing gal! Glad to her the baby has moved and given you a breather from the pain, it must be hard to keep your spirits up when you're constantly hurting.

ellie- I met up with some of the ttc girls last month and I was really nervous beforehand too- it felt like I was going on a blind date. I was even puz\zling over what to wear!

Well my anxiety levels are not too bad at the mo but that is because I am vomiting for England and can't focus on anything else. As a consequence, I seem to have pulled a muscle/trapped a nerve in my left bum cheek which is agonising and it's made me limp (much to the amusement of the office). Has anyone else had this?

becklespookle · 02/10/2007 13:47

NH101, keep thinking/saying the mantra 'healthy and well', it seems to help. Also keep talking on here and let us reassure you when you are feeling down or scared. Don't feel you need to hold back, those of us further along have been through those first weeks and we understand how awful and scary they are.

Hama, sorry you are still bleeding a little hun, glad you are seeing MW tomorrow though, hopefully she will send you for a scan for some reassurance.

Positive, only 3 more sleeps until Friday, I know it seems an age away but it will be here soon and hopefully you will see your LO wriggling and waving to you on the screen. Not feeling pregnant is common at your stage - the placenta should be taking over around now so takes some of the strain off of you - wretching in the mornings is a good sign still though! Hopefully the cramps and back ache are due to posture, stretching ligaments and stress.

Torres, thanks for your comments, it was a tough year for me last year but you and the other ladies on TTC after MC really helped me. I try my best to be positive, most of that is because I am just so grateful to be pg again! I don't like to be down or moan about pain and things too much - I know how lucky I am to be having a baby - I did wonder for a time whether I'd ever have another. Glad your anxiety levels are low and you are feeling so sick (in the nicest possible way!), hopefully it is reassuring you!

nh101 · 02/10/2007 14:44

Positive - good luck for Friday. I am feeling your pain! I am sure all will be well - the statistics are on your side.

Thanks for your messages - hopefully in 10 weeks I'll be handing down the same advice to other poor newbies on this thread!

"Healthy and well, healthy and well, healthy and well"

positive · 02/10/2007 16:38

beckle and nh,

thanks for the kind words and obviously some good vibes. after a lie down my back pain has finally gone so i'm feeling loads better :0.
intend to keep myself busy for the next couple of hours till DH gets home from work and then we're going to go for a walk with our dogs, the exercise is much needed on my part!

positive thoughts, positive thoughts

positive · 02/10/2007 16:42

that should have been a and not :0 !!

spugs · 02/10/2007 16:47

hi everyone, the first 12 weeks dont half drag but they'll be over before you know it (my middle 3 months seem to be dragging but not as im worried, just nowt happening). i have been less worried though since ive reached 12 weeks though and seen maggot at 14 weeks

positive · 02/10/2007 17:15

Oh I so agree spugs,
I feel that I have been pregnant forever and i'm only 12 wks today. Think it is worse because i've been off work sick for the past 4 wks. I'd expected to go back this week but my gp insisted I went back after I have my scan on Friday. it was different when I was so tired I slept 16/18hrs of the day and had all day nausea - that kept me busy ha ha. but now thats subsided I've too much time to myself and want to get back to work!

flosspot · 02/10/2007 18:50

Torres- try and keep me away from the cakes!!! Are you going too?

DonDons · 02/10/2007 19:34

Positive - we are both 12 weeks today! I know exactly how you feel - sending you good vibes for Friday!!
NH - it killed me too - but we're all here for you if you need us! These girls were a godsend for me!

Healthy and well...

MerlinsBeard · 02/10/2007 20:25

I AM BACK!!!!!!

and you started a new thread

can someone catch me up on the other thread while i catch up on this?

What news from mumpbump and fettle?

how is everyone doing?

fettleandbabyfettle · 02/10/2007 20:31

Hi MOM!!

Both mumpbump and I have had our little ones - Mumpy more spectacularly quickly than me (in the ambulance in hosp car park!!) Rubles posted in early labour last week - not heard from her since as has no internet connection at home - she told us from an internet cafe! AND ejt had her waterbirth as well - so all go on the birth fronts!!!

Hope all well with you!!

typing one-handed due to baby toby asleep on my arm so can't type more!!!

MerlinsBeard · 02/10/2007 20:32

congratulations EJT!!!!!!!!!!

Has anyone heard from Angua since she went for her scan? noticed she hasn't been back, think i will doa search for her.

MrsMc, Sorry you have been having worries but have to say LOL at you catching up from spain.(and also )

Welcome to all newbies, exceot that you prob aren't newbies now!

MerlinsBeard · 02/10/2007 20:35

congratulations fettle!! did you post a brith story?? will go read if you did so you arne't repeating! How are things going?

just read about rubles...hope she is busy with a LO now.

I am ok (forgot to update in my rush to catch up!)
am 16 weeks now and having hip pain already. still not feeling much but have possibly got a placenta at the front so thats prob why (i have been early with both the boys movements) i have HUGE cravings for angel delight but it has to be the raspberry one bizarrely

Bouncingturtle · 02/10/2007 20:36

MoM, welcome back! I take you noticed ejt has been the latest to have her baby?
Mumpbump(had a little boy, Joseph) and Fettle(had a boy, Toby) have also graduated as well!
we think Rubles must have had hers still now, but she still hasn't got her internet back after moving house, so she has been posting on odd occasions from an internet cafe - in fact she did post when she may have been in early stage of labour!

Bouncingturtle · 02/10/2007 20:37

fettle you type faster than me one handed lol

Mumpbump · 02/10/2007 21:09
