Hi all,
7 weeks now and have had a scan and seen a heartbeat... just need to keep calm and positive for the next few weeks!

Hi Beckle- how are you feeling? hope you're coping better at work with all your pains.

Hi Ellie- I hear you're coming to London soon for cakes- am looking forward to meeting you!

ejt- best of luck, am thinking of you xx

mrsmc- so relieved to hear you are ok- though jealous of your tanned appearance. I am so pasty, and as beckle said it is horrible and cold!

hamabeads- hope you are ok. Can you get a can for peace of mind?

gingercat12 · 01/10/2007 14:00

Good luck ejt Torres congrats on your scan.
Hamabeads hope it'll soon go away, but you see it happened to many people after a bit naughtier night. Your MW should really reassure you, if we can't.
MrsMcJnr Have a lovely and stressfree time in Spain!

becklespookle · 01/10/2007 14:04

Hi Torres, so pleased you have seen the heartbeat! Very reassuring, think of that little flicker every time you feel down or worried for the next few weeks. That and talking to everyone on here is what got me through the first awful bit.
Pains seem better at the moment, I think baby has moved upwards again (flat spot at bottom of tum and no gap under boobs) so that seems to have taken a lot of the pressure off. Baby has a liking for lying sideways and it moved upwards at about 20 weeks too (obviously ran out of room width-wise) which took the pain away for a couple of weeks.

hamabeads · 01/10/2007 15:10

Thanks for the messages.

I have a doc appointment in the morning that I was oging to cancel but think I might go now. Also have booking in appointment on Weds so hoping it will have stopped by then.

EllieG · 01/10/2007 16:09

hey hamabeads - sorry you are feeling worried. Think bleeding quite common especially after sex and round time of period, but get it checked out if would give you extra peace of mind. Let us know how you get on OK?

Hey torres - yes am coming over to big smoke on 9th Nov and I think cakes were mooted that afternoon. Am excited to meet people though bit nervous! Anyone here up for a cake-fest?

EllieG · 01/10/2007 16:10

Oh torres, forgot to say congrats on heartbeat, lovely news x

flosspot · 01/10/2007 16:26

Torres- a heartbeat. hooray. Looking forward to that moment- why is time going so slowly??!!!

feedmenow · 01/10/2007 16:45

No news from ejt today? Why could that be?

Fantastic about h/beat Torres!

Hama, I had a small bleed at 9+2, brown blood, worried me sick! Went to EPU who said my cervix was closed so off you go, type thing! Still really worried so went for a private scan, and all was OK, thank goodness. Am now 15+6. Is there any sign of more blood or was it just a little and a one-off? I'm sure it will be fine and dandy for you, and just be caused by the bedroom action, but speak to whoever you can for reassurance. How long til you've got a scan?

Mrsmc, glad you're having a lovely time, and good news about the Addisons

Daisy, can't remember who said it but 17 weeks of bf is fantastic, and you definately need to look after you too. So if prozac is better for you than sertraline, then change back. Definately agree with the happy mummy = happy baby!

I had my 16 week check today, with a male midwife! I knew he was on my team, but was a little surprised still! He seemed OK, but a bit vague about some of the things I asked. For example, when should I get my MATB1? I don't see a midwife or gp for pg now until 28 weeks, and I thought you got MATB1 at around 20 weeks. He said maybe I could pop into clinic when I'm at hospital for 22 week scan and see if one of the mw's will do it then. Seemed a bit odd to me. When have you lot got yours?

hamabeads · 01/10/2007 17:29

Hi there, fingers crossed it seems to be stoping so lasted about half a day. Will talk to doc in morning. I don't have a scan date yet. I think I book it at the booking in apppointment. It seems very early but they insisted 9 weeks was th norm. I am in a new area and it is all different here.

DonDons · 01/10/2007 18:21

hamabeads I had a similar bleed at 10 weeks and was frantic - phoned GP and got an emergency scan at EPU 5 days later - everything was fine and the EPU were fantastic - completely understanding. Am 12 weeks tomorrow and still have fingers crossed. If you are worried, insist on a scan (NB my '12 week scan' is not for another 2.5 weeks and I really couldn't wait that long).

Torres and MrsMcJnr - brilliant news for both of you

Well today was a milestone as I told my boss. He's been pretty great in the last couple of years (he was the first person on hand when I had my MC). But today he really let me down... his first words after I told him were 'oh, my SIL has a MC this weekend - she was 12 weeks' aaargh aargh aargh - please help..... I feel so bad for her but did he really have to tell me that today...? AM I being oversensitive?

hotchoc · 01/10/2007 18:22

Evening all, had a funny sort of weekend, it was my 'other' due date and although i am now 30 weeks it felt sad to think by now we would have a wee one.

anyway, great to read all your highs and lows, hard to keep up though. so exciting that babies are coming thick and fast now after all the difficult times.

wishing you a happy and quiet pregnancy

hotchocx

Bouncingturtle · 01/10/2007 18:25

Hamabeads - also had a bleed exactly as you described between 12 and 15 weeks. 28 weeks now and going strong.
Feedmenow - I got my MABT1 at aroun 23 weeks but had to fight for it, there seems to be a trend to give them out bat 28 weeks, yet most company HR depts. want it at 25 weeks. According to the DWP website they are supposed to issue them from 20 weeks onwards. I would go back and tell them you want it now!

BellaBear · 01/10/2007 19:48

Hi, I know I only come on this thread very intermittently, was wondering if anyone could help me here

I forgot about this thread!

ejt1764 · 01/10/2007 20:14

Completely normal, natural delivery ... most of the labour spent in water.

Will be back to let you know more when I have a minute!!!

hotchoc · 01/10/2007 20:18

Hope you are recovering well

becklespookle · 02/10/2007 00:52

Hooray Ejt! Well done you and welcome to little Mairwen Grug! Looking forward to all the details (and some pics???), hope you are both doing well xxx

becklespookle · 02/10/2007 00:58

Feedmenow, I got my MatB1 form at 25 weeks but only because I asked for it. I had to pop down so the MW could give it to me as they like to see you apparently. Also don't get any appts here between 16 and 28 weeks.

You are not being over sensitive DonDons, your boss was incredibly insensitive. Being a bloke though he probably didn't even realise...

Hi Hotchoc, glad you are okay hun, hope your weekend wasn't too difficult. It must be a very strange feeling and although you will never forget your lost LO, it is not too long before you will be holding the one you are expecting now.

Hi to everyone else, hope you are all okay x

DonDons · 02/10/2007 07:52

Yay EJT!

flosspot · 02/10/2007 08:54

Hooray and well done EJT!!!!!!!

Glimmer · 02/10/2007 09:48

Congratulations EJT and welcome Mairwen! Have been thinking of you during the last days. Sounds like a dream birth.

Rubles -- how are you?

EJB get ready for being the Grand Dame soon you're next!

Continue to lurk, but am too exhausted to write. I find it difficult to work full time while being pregnant and my solution is not to do anything but the two. DH is very supportive and cooks and cleans and entertains me :-) It's so good to have him around.

I have started to retain a lot of water and am slighly worried about Pre-eclamsia. Will see MW tomorrow -- just hope the BP is down.

Welcome to all the newcomers.
Torres -- congratulations on sseing a HB. That's a huge milestone. All the best for the next weeks.

All the best to everybody else!!!

spugs · 02/10/2007 09:49
