Thanks for setting this up @BecsterG 😃

Whiffle77 · 09/06/2020 09:52

Thanks @BecsterG Smile bit behind in everything at the min. Congrats @alviesmam on your scan and baby girl! Hope your cramps have eased a bit @milscookie - I had lots of cramps in the first trimester this time round, far more than when I had my MC! But all is ok, so I dont think they are always a bad sign. Hope you are feeling a little more healthy today @terribleimagination

BS9790 · 09/06/2020 10:30

@alviesmam lovely news!! A baby girl 😍

@MilsCookie, I had really bad cramps in first trimester and all was fine. Still get them occasionally now at 19 weeks!

EllieJai44 · 09/06/2020 10:36

Hi ladies hope you dont mind me jumping on, im currently 8 weeks pregnant after having 3 miscarriages in the last year. I already have a 15 month old daughter and no miscarriage history before her so they were quite a shock!

But now my anxiety is so high 🤦‍♀️ I just keep waiting for it to go wrong, we saw a heartbeat at 6 and half weeks, hoping to have another ultrasound soon but I just cannot get rid of the anxiety.....

MilsCookie · 09/06/2020 14:44

Thank you for setting this up @BecsterG Smile and thank you all for the reassurance... I feel so much better hearing your positive stories. I don't have any cramps today now and still no spotting or anything. I think the cramps are worse at night weirdly? And if I remember rightly I did have a bit of cramping just before my mc but there was spotting as well. Just got to hope and pray everything is still okay in there.

@EllieJai44 welcome to the group lovely. So sorry to hear about your 3 miscarriages, that must have been so hard to have 1 after the other. Fingers crossed this time you have a healthy sticky bean. If you heard the heartbeat at 6.5 weeks that's definitely a good sign! Star

How are things going @Whiffle77 and @BS9790 ? x

EllieJai44 · 09/06/2020 15:05

@MilsCookie Thank you, unfortunately the miscarriage we had in Feb we had seen heartbeat at 6 weeks and then 8 weeks and by 9 weeks 3 days it had stopped 🤦‍♀️ so I cant take much comfort from that unfortunately

TerribleImagination · 09/06/2020 15:08

Welcome @EllieJai44 ❤️ So sorry to hear about your MC’s. You’re in good company here! Anxiety in pregnancy after losses is so tough, but like @MilsCookie said, it’s such a good sign to have seen a heartbeat already 🥰 The risk definitely goes down after that! Crossing everything for you for a healthy 9 months.

EllieJai44 · 09/06/2020 15:14

@TerribleImagination Thank you I really hope so!

Whiffle77 · 09/06/2020 15:17

You've just got to keep ticking those days off @MilsCookie - each one is a win! That's how I feel. It's hard not to panic all the time but you dont have any reason to think things aren't ok, and your 12 week scan will be here before you know it! 😀
I'm ok thank you, my anxiety is a lot less debilitating at the minute which helps. Still wfh too. Knackered though as I am waking up in the night repeatedly for the loo, so annoying! I have brought a pregnancy pillow though as I was already struggling to sleep and its helped loads. Going for another private scan weekend after next so that my husband can see! Hoping that wont escalate my anxiety again.
Wahoo to furlough @terribleimagination by the way - do you have any plans as to how to spend your time? I would love a few weeks of furlough but no such luck 😂
Sorry for your losses @EllieJai44 we all understand how you feel. Dont focus on anything long term, just take it day by day. I've used a lot of meditations as well which have helped a lot. And just let yourself feel what you need to, there is no right way!

TerribleImagination · 09/06/2020 15:39

@Whiffle77 I plan to crack on with series 4 of This is Us to start with 🤣 Sleep in, nap in the day, try not to be sick until that (hopefully) subsides in a few weeks 🤞🏻😂 I’m hoping I’ll start to feel better soon, then I can crack on with some DIY! Got a fence that’s waiting to be painted as soon as the weather cheers up 😃

Zoey36 · 09/06/2020 17:47

Hi everyone! Hope you're all doing okay! ai went back to work today! I feel like I'm the only pregnany lady working in a school in the world haha everyone kept looking at me funny....but then I didn't look the least bit pregnant before schools closed so they probably are wondering how this has happened so fast!!

MilsCookie · 09/06/2020 17:56

@Whiffle77 oh man the waking up in the middle of the night for the loo is so annoying. I can't remember the last time I slept through without needing a wee at least once!! Glad the pregnancy pillow is helping you 😊

@Zoey36 I can't remember are you primary or secondary? I told my head that I was pregnant and I'm not allowed to go in! So weird how the rules are different in different schools 🤷‍♀️ hope it's not too much for you though.

So for the last two days (on top of the on and off cramps), whenever I stand up from lying down, my lower back and top of my bum really hurt. It feels more joint/bone related though than crampy. Has anyone had this before? I've also noticed that it's more effort to turn over in bed because of this restricting kind of pain. When I stand up I am really stiff and can't move properly for a bit! It's absolutely fine when I'm walking and can't feel it, it's just when I've been resting it's like everything seizes up. Does anyone have any ideas what this could be or any advice? 😬🙏 thank you!

BecsterG · 09/06/2020 21:35

@MilsCookie I get pain just at the top of my bum or the very bottom of my back. Feels to me like a trapped nerve or something. I'm wondering if it could be related to sitting in a kitchen chair for work whilst pregnant but it hurt more over the weekend when I wasn't working. My legs also feel a bit crampy but I get that after long walks. 🤷🏻‍♀️ who knows it's a complete minefield isn't it.

Welcome @EllieJai44. As already mentioned just take it one day at a time. That's really all you can do. Try think positive thoughts as at the moment there's not reason to believe anything is wrong. So tough I know.

Ladies I am desperate for nurseries to go back even if it's just part time. Really struggling to get work done and be a mum at the same time. My son is being so well behaved and just wants to play and have attention but I'm so busy at work. Finding it tough. I was working until 11pm last night! Zzz

There are still 40 messages left on the other thread, I tried to fill it up so if someone posts there they are not ignored but 40 messages is quite a task alone. Hopefully they'll back track if they are not responded to and see this new link

BecsterG · 09/06/2020 22:14

@ChampooPapi hopefully if the link is one of the last messages people will see it straight away.

Nurseries round us have started opening again @BecsterG so hopefully they will near you soon too? I do feel for you, that's a lot to cram in in one day!

Zoey36 · 10/06/2020 19:56

@MilsCookie I'm working in primary but I'm not staff. I'm seld employed and cover PPA etc. so I have nobody to say I can't go in but they won't pay me if I don't go in! I don't mind going in Covid-wise though. The head did see me and look a bit panicked like there may be a tribunal heading his way or something haha! But I just need some money! I'll finish at 30 weeks so I won't be at work much in my last trimester!

The pain at the bottom of the back thing could be PGP. Mine started like a trapped nerve feeling but now it's BAAAAAD some days and okay other days. With my first it never got too had but this time it's not okay ! Got an Osteo app. on Saturday. Keep a check on it!

MilsCookie · 10/06/2020 21:08

@BecsterG it's so confusing isn't it. Mine feels a bit like a trapped nerve too so I wondered if it could be sciatica. @Zoey36 can you PGP as early in pregnancy as I am? I'm only 10 weeks? Although it is twins haha...
That's good you can choose when to work doing PPA cover etc! Do you work in more than one school?

Sounds like you've got it really tough Becster... working till 11pm when you're pregnant with a little one sounds exhausting! I'm sure the nurseries will be opening up soon... fingers crossed!

Did anyone else feel breathless at this point? I can HEAR my own breathing and it's starting to get right on my nerves hahaha. I think it's partly my stuffy nose because of hayfever but I just also feel like I'm not getting enough air!!

BecsterG · 10/06/2020 21:15

Thanks ladies.

@MilsCookie I have felt breathless since about 10 weeks, well more so than I'd normally be. With twins you're bound to feel it earlier I'd say.

I think in Scotland it might be mid to end of July but will have to wait and see. I was thinking about emailing the nursery to see when they think it might be a possibility and if they'll open sooner for key workers. I'll see what they say. Until then we'll all keep going I'm sure.

Early night for me tonight ladies!

TerribleImagination · 10/06/2020 22:36

@MilsCookie Yep I’ve been a bit breathless for a week or so now, and I’m not even 10 weeks yet 🙈 I think progesterone can make you breathless too, so that could explain it in the earlier weeks. Plus for you it could deffo be happening early cos you’ve got two little ones on board!

Zoey36 · 10/06/2020 22:56

@MilsCookie oh I'm not sure when PGP can start...10 weeks does sound early but who knows!? I don't! I normally work in 2 schools but only back in 1m

BecsterG · 15/06/2020 08:52

Morning ladies! It's another week. How you all? X

OP posts:
TerribleImagination · 15/06/2020 11:27

Morning @BecsterG and everyone!

All good here! Still living the 24/7 nausea life, but I’m 10+3 today, so hoping it eases up soon with the second trimester in sight! 👍🏻 Got my dating scan 2 weeks today, so wishing time away haha!

How’s everyone doing? x

AlviesMam · 15/06/2020 12:05

Hey all.
20 weeks today.
Still no movement yet due to my anterior placenta, just the odd flutters now and then Sad hoping it happens soon.
Hope everyone is well xx

BS9790 · 15/06/2020 12:44

@AlviesMam I'm 20+2 and I've had no movement either. My placenta is fundal and anterior, so goes over the top and down the front... So who knows when I'll feel any. Really hope it's soon just to settle the anxiety a bit!

Hope everyone is well 😊😊
