@MilsCookie I'm just so sorry you have to go through this 😞

scrumdiddly123 · 26/08/2020 09:40

@MilsCookie so sorry to read your update, what a worry and stress 😢 will be thinking of you and your girls.
I was just popping on to say I had my rescan this morning and everything looks good- saw a beautiful little blob with a heartbeat measuring a couple of days ahead of my dates (7+4) x

BecsterG · 26/08/2020 10:18

That's great news @scrumdiddly123 you'll be so relieved! X

Oh @MilsCookie I'm really sorry to read your update, it is so unfair that you keep going through this. Try and keep in mind again that that is still not a high risk in percentage terms, but i know thats not easy to do. What is the next steps for you, will you just be monitored regularly? Try and take it easy on yourself.

@AlviesMam sorry to read you have had a tough few days too, really pleased to hear that everything is OK

AlviesMam · 26/08/2020 11:01

@scrumdiddly123 great news 😊 xxxx

AlviesMam · 26/08/2020 11:01

@Whiffle77
Thanks! She likes to scare me little tinker xxx

ChampooPapi · 26/08/2020 12:01

@scrumdiddly123 yes! Absolutely fantastic 🙌 I'll update the list accordingly for next week 🥰

ChampooPapi · 26/08/2020 12:06

@scrumdiddly123 so I'm adding two days 👍

SunnySideUp2020 · 26/08/2020 12:13

@scrumdiddly123 amazing news!!!! Looking good 👍

ChampooPapi · 26/08/2020 12:20

@Whiffle77 how are thing with you? Do you have any plans for your birth yet? My friend had hers at home in July because the restrictions just put her off so much, are you considering that? Understand if your not, with a straight forward labour you are home within the day from hospital anyway. I can't believe my second to last appointment before my c section booking is on Tuesday, September is going to disappear in a puff of smoke!

ChampooPapi · 26/08/2020 12:29

From some research (mumsnetting of old threads) these look like the absolute best for putting dirty reusable wipes or soiled re usable nappies in. You also can just throw the whole thing in the wash rather then cleaning our a nappy pail/mesh bag inside.

How good is it! So cheap too. Seems other mums and dads simply hang them on a hook by the change table or back of the door and fill as desired, no smells emit, no toddlers take the lid off and mess with the dirty nappies or wipes. Inspired 🙌

I've been looking at the Chicco next to
Me bed 'air' both sides are ventilated and it's on offer for £149 in John Lewis... anyone know if it's good? I'm out of my depth choosing baby stuff!

I've gone for the Dr browns newborn bottle starter kit with the steam steriliser- managed to find lots of reviews that's made me confident to buy this brand.

Push chair is also been ordered...eeeek

@ChampooPapi I was looking at nappy bins! Especially when husband is back at work I can't just run out to the wheely bin can I Grinhaha but this looks great! Thanks!!

MilsCookie · 26/08/2020 15:01

Thank you girls. It really helps to be able to vent on this group. Although I'm so worried I'll never actually get my babies at the end of all this. Just feels like such a long journey ahead.

@SunnySideUp2020 @Whiffle77 I have to be scanned weekly now to monitor the blood flow in their cords. The bloody annoying thing as well is that one of the ways they keep an eye on them is checking the flow in ductus venosus.... which is one of the things absent in our little twin!! 😩 I'm just so scared about what might happen. Hoping and praying we have two little fighters 🤞🏻🙏

@scrumdiddly123 so pleased to read your update lovely. This one seems like it will be a sticky one!! 🌈 xxxx

ChampooPapi · 26/08/2020 17:36

@AlviesMam yes the Dr brown's one looked excellent, it was only because my small Medela bottles will slide through the gaps so don't fit that I didn't go for it. That's the only brand that doesn't work with it though, Mam, Tommy Tippie, Avent, nuk, nuby, ect all fit. That bag is for reusable nappies and reusable wipes, not disposables, Definitely everything that goes in there needed to be a washable thing. Though the smaller size (they do a 5 litre) could be really useful for the change bag for when you get a wee leak or pop leak and need a bag for the clothing until you get home.

As far as a disposable nappy bin goes I've also been ummming and arring, I need a bigger one, just had a small peddle bin for my last but it's been stolen for the bathroom bin now. As there is going to be two I'm thinking of the actual nappy bins, but the whole encasing thing seems very in eco, and also do you think just a really decent actual bin would be better that post baby and nappy stage could be actually used in the kitchen afterwards 🤷‍♀️. I'm going to try and do re usable nappies after six months when solids come in, but I'll keep you posted on that 😬😆. Could all go to pot!

ChampooPapi · 26/08/2020 17:42

@AlviesMam on the chicco, it's a completely fine next to me, other then the annoying thing that you can trip or stub yourself on those feet! The snuzpod, though smaller doesn't have this issue, but it is more expensive

ChampooPapi · 26/08/2020 17:44

@AlviesMam although the snuzpod 3 is the same size I think actually. Have you looked at the tutti bambini? That's a similar price and a few friends I've know have had it and said it was perfectly fine.

ChampooPapi · 26/08/2020 17:48

The tutti has been reduced to 139 at Argos of you like the look of it. Hard when you can't see these things but those legs of the chicco would put me off. I have two snuzpods for my girls, but I did get them both second hand so helps with the cost obviously! And brought new mattresses. They ar wonky in them for about 5 months sometimes so paying less is desirable, and all the next me cribs are so brilliant and useful whichever you choose. And they are all safe for sleeping of course ☺️

ChampooPapi · 26/08/2020 17:49

They ar wonky

They are only

Whiffle77 · 26/08/2020 18:05

Hi @ChampooPapi I'm OK thanks, tiredness seems to be back with a vengeance though! How are you doing? Because I have a fibroid I will likely be having a c section, but won't know until probably 37 weeks. If I don't have one they will probs still want me in hospital due to the risk of haemarrage. Though to be honest I am neurotic so I would probably want to be in hospital!! Disappointed I probably won't get to use our MLU though instead. The weeks do seem to be flying past now.

@AlviesMam I was doing a bit of research on next to me cots and there seem to be a lot of unbranded ones on amazon that were a lot cheaper, with good reviews - may be worth a look?

@MilsCookie vent as much as you want, that's what we are here for! We all have our fingers crossed for you and your little ladies
