Oops sorry cross posted there! Thank you so much @SunnySideUp2020 really hoping you get your BFP very soon 💕💕💕

Annny27 · 19/06/2020 12:52

Awesome news @MilsCookie I know you were worried about them sharing a sac!

Are they definitely identical then?

MilsCookie · 19/06/2020 12:58

Thank you so much @Annny27!! Yes they're definitely identical as they share the placenta (and in one gestational sac) but they have their own amniotic sac which means they won't be able to get tangled up together. We've still got a long way to go but it was the best possible news we could've got today...so I'm just feeling on cloud 9! 🌈🌈
Hope you're feeling okay and AF is on her way out xxx sending lots of luck and positive vibes for this cycle! 🍀🍀🍀

SunnySideUp2020 · 19/06/2020 13:04

@MilsCookie i immediately thought boys 💙💙

Whiffle77 · 19/06/2020 13:06

Awwww @MilsCookie how gorgeous! What lovely clear pics, and just absolutely the best news you could have got! How exciting, hope you are feeling happy and relieved today! So pleased for you! I am going for identical boys!! Will you find out or get a surprise?

Whiffle77 · 19/06/2020 13:06

Or rather another surprise, twins was probably a surprise too 😂😂

MilsCookie · 19/06/2020 13:19

@whiffle77 😂😂😂 Yep feel like I've had enough surprises for a while! But we'll be finding out the genders hopefully at 16 weeks. I think boys too 💙🌈💙🌈!

Ahhh @MilsCookie this is AMAZING!!!! I’m buzzing for you that they’re in separate sacs and less risky! That’s amazing news. What incredible clear pictures too! I’m gonna guess boys too 🥰

Hi @mrs2468 👋🏻 so sorry you’ve had to go through losses too, but congrats on your BFP! That’s lovely news. You’re in good company here for people who know too well how anxious pregnancy after loss can be ❤️

ChampooPapi · 19/06/2020 15:27

@MilsCookie thank Christ! Honestly when they are in the same sack they are a bloody nightmare to manage and they do take them earlier so that's such a worry with a prem babies situation too. You should be able to go to like 37 weeks now all going well with the ttts monitoring. So so happy for you and so grateful to the universe that it has given you two in their own sacks, I was sweating about that I can now admit. Really sweating 😔. Thank goodness, and brilliant brilliant news. And you are soo having two girls by the way 😏💗💗

BecsterG · 19/06/2020 15:29

Brilliant news @MilsCookie! You just must be so relieved. One less thing to worry about. I think boys too!

Welcome @mrs2468 and congratulations on your BFP! X

Ahhhhh thank you @TerribleImagination @ChampooPapi and @BecsterG honestly LOVE having you girls to talk to in this group. Feel like we're on such a journey together!

I know Champoo tell me about it... that's why I've not been able to relax at all cos of the same sack potential... and I know there's still a risk of TTTS but I'll be closely monitored still so hopefully they'll pick anything up early that looks scary... still such a long way to go but I have a good feeling! What makes you think 2 girls?

Hi lovely * waves * TerribleImagination what makes you think 2 boys? It's funny how everyone thinks different! I'm literally desperate to know now haha I'm so impatient!

@BS9790 glad everything went well with your scan yesterday lovely - such a reilef! xx

TerribleImagination · 19/06/2020 16:03

@MilsCookie I don’t know, just a feeling... but I’m notoriously terrible at guessing babies genders 🤣 I was convinced my friend was having a girl, although apparently towards the end of her pregnancy I kept saying ‘he’ without even realising it! Anyway, I’ve never guessed right, so don’t take my word for it 🤣

Whiffle77 · 19/06/2020 16:30

Oh yeah I had no scientific backup for boy either, just a feeling!
I keep changing my mind on what I think I'm having. My skin is awful, so old wives tales means that I'm having a girl!!

Zoey36 · 19/06/2020 17:11

whiffle I had BAD skin for at least the first 20 weeks with my daughter. This time (a boy) my skin has been gooooood!

Post 20ish weeks though with my daughter my skin went really good and I didn't have ti wash my hair every other day! So having this boy has been like the last half of my girl pregnancy!

Whiffle77 · 19/06/2020 19:19

Oh really @Zoey36 that's really interesting! My skin is overwhelmingly awful, I'm just lucky I've been in lockdown so no one can see it! I will hope for the best after 20 weeks then! Old wives tale + your evidence means its deffo true 😂 two of my friends young kids have declared it's a girl too. My hair hasn't changed much, its grown a lot tho.
Ahhh I really want a surprise but this is making me want to know now! We have a 16 week scan tomorrow so hopefully I will hold out and not ask!

MilsCookie · 19/06/2020 20:04

@whiffle77 I looked back to find your 12 week scan photo 🙊 and I think it looks girly!!

Does anyone know anything about the NT measurement and what's normal? Mine seem low.... I know they're only 11+4 and she did say she struggled to get it cos I was on the 'cusp' or something? But one twin was 1.10mm and the other one was 1.20mm. From my brief googling it's only indicative of chromosomal disorders if it's above 3.5mm? But they still seem to be below the 'normal' range. Can anyone advise? I had the blood test as well so will get my results back soon hopefully. But obviously always gotta have something to worry about! 🙈🙄

AlviesMam · 19/06/2020 20:07

@MilsCookie yes two boys I reckon!!

@Whiffle77 I'm having a girl and my skin and pigmentation has been horrendous! X

ChampooPapi · 19/06/2020 21:45

@MilsCookie I'd say because yours were taken at only 11.4 this is an indication of the slightly smaller then 'average'. But I've seen women with a measurement of over 5mm who have had no issues with chromosomal abnormalities, as well as women who have had 'normal' measurements of say between 1.5 and 2.5 go on to discover their baby does have an issue. The NHS screening is very inaccurate but false positives are far more likely then false negatives so if the results come back a ok, and low risk, I'd trust that. If you can't then have the nipt. I had my NHS scr at 12.4 so a week ahead and my measurements were similar to yours and came back 'low risk' but I obviously disregarded those results anyway because I had had the nipt.

They are also testing your pap a and hcg levels so that will be a factor with your age that works the number part out. But I can tell you now you'll be low risk with any measurements over 1mm and under 4mm.

The twenty week scan is really when they can actually do a real diagnosis of anything from physical markers, the tri screening really only flags up very abnormal fetus's that are obviously developing differently. Or often flags up babies that are developing normally but have markers that flag them up as possible at risk, but end up being completely fine.

Your measurements are perfectly normal for this stage gestational wise. The NHS test is 79 percent accurate and that includes false negatives as well as false positives.

MilsCookie · 19/06/2020 22:54

Ahhhh @champoopapi you absolute gem 💎. I knew I could rely on you to give me an explanation!! You're so good at explaining all of this stuff, but I suppose you've been through it a fair few times now 😆. Argh I'm still really torn about whether or not to get the NIPT... cos even if my results come back low risk (like you think they will) then I know now that they're not 100% accurate. I guess I'll wait and see what happens and then make a decision. I just really wish it was £40, not £400 🤣

Thank you @Alviesmam for your guess!! 💙💕

Whiffle77 · 20/06/2020 07:47

Oh gosh @AlviesMam really? Even more very scientific evidence then!!! I might look up some of the other old wives tales to see what other "evidence" I can gather Grin

BecsterG · 20/06/2020 07:53

@Whiffle77 and @Zoey36 funny how everyone's different. My skin was horrendous all the way through my pregnancy with my son. It was so painfully and in the end I had to go on antibiotics after my son refused to breastfeed anymore. This time with boy number 2 and my skin is clean and normal. Funny how different we all are and each pregnancy is isn't it. X

So relieved to see your update, @MilsCookie. Best possible outcome. Those nt results look good, but they need to be combined with your blood results and age to get your risk. Try not to panic too much, though. There's a chart here that shows average risk by age.

I have no idea about sex! I'm rubbish at guessing Grin I'll just wait and see in 5 weeks!

@Whiffle77 I've been the opposite with my pregnancies. My skin was bad from about 5 weeks to 12 weeks with this one (girl), but was pretty awful all the way through with DS. I've had less sickness as well this time round.

@BS9790 being tall is very probably why your bump is smaller - more room to spread out. Last time I was pregnant, there was a lady in my NCT group who was nearly 6ft and even at 9 months, she just looked like she'd overindulged for dinner. I'm 5'2 and was the size of a small planet, and heading that way again (not that I'm jealous, obviously Wink)!

peonyrose87 · 20/06/2020 08:45

Hi ladies, can I join in? I had a MMC at 11 weeks in January, and got my BFP yesterday. I'm only 12dpo so it's super super early but 🤞🏻 it sticks!
