@TerribleImagination Love that we've all bought the perfect prep today - @MrsB16 you should work for Tommee Tippee haha!!

@ChampooPapi oh god, at least you have experience of babies with your older two, the whole thing is a complete minefield to me!! 🙈 I'm so confused about the totals of those two things - my baby brain is in full force tonight!! 🤦🏼‍♀️👶🏻 The next thing that confuses the hell out of me is sleeping options for twins! 🤯🤯🤯

@MrsB16 good luck with the move tomorrow!! Totally know how you feel after living with my in-laws since Jan. We have a completion date for our house now - 7th sept!! Cannot wait to move in and get settled!! I remember @AlviesMam saying she was in a similar position too! X

ChampooPapi · 23/08/2020 21:45

@MilsCookie and @TerribleImagination oh she definitely does work for them 😏

ChampooPapi · 23/08/2020 21:48

@MilsCookie I saw on another twin thread if your bottle feeding to get a small white board so you can record which twin drinks what. So that could help us, so much different with breast feeding because you never need to measure or keep track like that!

AlviesMam · 23/08/2020 21:50

currently in hospital getting monitored due to reduced movements.
Baby's heart rate is healthy and she's moving on the monitor but I can't feel a thing.....anterior placenta.😔
They are happy but won't let me home until I've felt her kick.
I have a feeling I won't and I just want to go home so frustrated and upset that my whole days are constantly worrying and obsessing over her movement , I want to enjoy my journey but it's not looking that way.
Just needed to vent

MilsCookie · 24/08/2020 07:50

@ChampooPapi that's a really good idea!

@AlviesMam ohhh you poor thing I'm so sorry you keep having to go through this 😞 just remember it most likely is because of your anterior placenta and not because she isn't safe and well. I hope you weren't at the hospital for too long? You definitely did the right thing going to get checked out. Hope you're okay 😘 xx

SunnySideUp2020 · 24/08/2020 08:40

@AlviesMam sorry to hear about your bad day.
It must be so stressful...
Hope you felt her kick and was able to go hom reassured x

Ejb86 · 24/08/2020 16:33

@ChampooPapi speak to your hospital and see if you can hire/borrow a hospital grade pump. Apparently much better than we buy on the high st.

Ejb86 · 24/08/2020 16:36

@AlviesMam hope little lady has made herself known. It is hard but better you get her checked out isn't it?

ChampooPapi · 24/08/2020 19:16

@Ejb86 thanks, I have an electric medela swing which is apparently one of the ones they use and loan in hospitals so it should do the job. I'll give it my best shot when I'm in there and willing to try anything else they have to get the mixed feeding happening

@AlviesMam how are you lovely? It's relentless pregnancy anyway but with your anterior placenta it is going to no doubt carry on being a big worry for you until she is here. I've had them with all my pregnancies and it really is just impossible to establish movement patterns beca you feel so little compared to most women, but you have to keep going in if you don't feel her for a 24 hour period, you just have to so you absolutely did the right thing going in. Hope you are safe and sound now at home being looked after ♥️

AlviesMam · 24/08/2020 19:37

Thank you all!
Sorry for ranting I feel selfish for talking about my worries all the time Sad

The thing is she had moved yesterday but she just wasn't moving much on the evening and when I think I'm starting to get a pattern she suprises me urghhh.

I didn't feel half her kicks when I first went in, then they took me off the monitor and she started kicking. Doctor wanted an hours trace and for me to feel kicks before I left, which luckily happened but she started moving away from the attatched Doppler so her heart rate went off radar, I was like FFS and they don't like gaps in the trace so I didn't get home until 12.30am Sad

She's been giving me lots of wiggles today and still is.

Roll on 10 weeks ❤️

Hope you are all doing well, I have been catching up on the thread , can't believe how far we have all came. Looking back to my state of mind when I joined the December thread with you all and to where we are now is just surreal! 🥰

ChampooPapi · 24/08/2020 21:00

@AlviesMam It is cathartic to look back but definitely surreal, because of our current states there is an element of detachment as well isn't there when you read those posts from 6/7/8 months ago.

Onwards we march ladies, list time tomorrow 🙌 any new takers to add, please remind me, my brain is mush

BS9790 · 25/08/2020 09:53

@AlviesMam, glad everything was OK. I've had significantly less movement Saturday/Sunday/most of Monday... Then he's spent all last night and this morning wiggling about!
I deffo don't have a pattern to movements, some days I get 10 all day, some days its constant moving. Its deffo to do with placenta & where he's laid, very stressful!

@MrsB16 your nearly there now, can't wait to see the threads first baby (even if it's just the hands or body). She really could come any time from now, though hopefully a couple more weeks cooking time ☺️

MilsCookie · 25/08/2020 17:32

So another blow today.

Our smaller twin now has type 3 sIUGR (it's been type 1 since week 16). It basically means the blood flow in her umbilical cord is abnormal. Type 3 is much more serious and the consultant said 1/5 babies with type 3 pass in the womb 😔😔😔. If she does pass then this has a 15% chance of affecting the other twin. He did say that the blood flow may correct itself but I now have to have weekly scans to monitor them. He also mentioned selective reduction of this twin if it doesn't get any better/gets worse which just doesn't even bear thinking about. I was a mess the whole way through the appointment.

We barely even spoke about the genetic stuff/NIPT because he was explaining all of this type 3 sIUGR stuff. He did say with type 3 sIUGR they aim for 32 weeks delivery - which would be around 9th Nov.

Once again my head is all over the place. I just want them to make it here safe and sound. The next few months are going to be so stressful 😔. It just feels like I'm never meant to have healthy babies!! What was even the point in buying a milk prep machine when they might not even make it. DP and I have decided we're not going to buy anything else now until they arrive. Sorry for the pity party but I am just beyond gutted.

AlviesMam · 25/08/2020 18:02

@MilsCookie

Aw no I am so sorry to hear this 😓
I haven't really got the right words to say to you because nothing I say will fix this.
All I can say is focus on the positives- weekly scans to monitor you and 15% is still a low chance.
Your consultant will be looking after you and weekly updates will be good and keep you focused.
I don't blame you for not buying anything with all this news- I have only just started buying the odd thing at 30'weeks and still scared.
Really hoping this is a good outcome for you. I am thinking of you and your husband xxxxxx

AlviesMam · 25/08/2020 18:12

@MilsCookie

If everything seems ok and stable with your weekly scans will they plan to deliver at 32 weeks? That's something to hold onto?! 🙏🏼 xx

MilsCookie · 25/08/2020 18:20

Thank you @AlviesMam 😘 yes if they stay the same then delivery will be at 32 weeks. So we're praying we even get that far!! It's just one thing after another with these babies! 😞

TerribleImagination · 25/08/2020 18:28

@MilsCookie Oh lovey I’m so so sorry to hear this. I don’t blame you for feeling so gutted and not buying anything. Just get through each week and each scan, meanwhile we’ll be your cheerleaders! Like @AlviesMam said, although super scary, the risk isn’t massively high, so try and give it as much hope and positivity as you can muster.

Sending tons of love ❤️

AlviesMam · 25/08/2020 18:40

I'm praying each week is stable for you and you get to have them baby's at 32 weeks. We are here for you week by week ❤️
Xxxxxx

BecsterG · 25/08/2020 19:20

Aw @MilsCookie I'm so sorry to hear your update. As the girls have said all you can do is take each week as it comes and keep everything cross for 32 weeks! Sending you lots of virtual hugs. Xx

@MilsCookie
Sad to read your update. It is another blow for you guys and i am so sorry it keeps happening.
As it's been said, nothing we say will probably make you feel better but I am sending all the positive energy possible and massive virtual hugs and support 💕
Feel free to vent and share how you feel. Don't ever say sorry for the pity party, we are here!
When is your next scan?
X

MrsB16 · 25/08/2020 20:03

@ChampooPapi the amount I’ve done over the past few days moving house I’d say I’m going to give birth any day now!

MrsB16 · 25/08/2020 20:05

@MilsCookie I’m really sorry to read your update. I’m praying that both of your beautiful girls make it through. Hopefully the weekly scans and checkups will show things improving and both twins will continue to grow.
