Hi everyone, I know it’s kind of early but I just found out my partner and I are expecting. I don’t have any pregnant friends so thought it might be nice to chat to some fellow mummies/mommies who might be expecting around the same time.

A bit about me - I’m Katie, live in the UK and have a daughter who is almost 3.

With my 1st, I had scans at 6 week and 7 weeks and then 13 weeks. I had brown spotting and cramps and the dr in portugal, where i was with family said it was a miscarriage as cervix was open. I had to then hide it for 3 weeks from bf’s family as it was first time we’d met and only been with him 5 months 😂😂😂💕

When I got back to the UK, midwife didn’t seem bothered by it, as it has stopped, she took my notes and then booked me for scan which was 13 weeks as I was in Lisbon for 3 weeks 😂😂

@Alrowley I was 10dpo yesterday and this was the result below so super light, then the next one was this morning so 9dpo then the last one is a FRER from today. X

Sorry @Alrowley I mean today is 11dpo not 9 😂

10 DPO, looks like mine today at 12DPO, I’ll see what it look like tomorrow :)

@Alrowley my 12DPO test looks like this the one above so don’t worry! I took First Response on the same day later on & it was super clear. I’ve attached both photos for reference! Both same day - First Response taken in afternoon. It sounds like such a rollercoaster start with your DD! So glad all was well!

@VAM24, I’m sorry you had that experience, that can’t have been nice at all. I had some bleeding with my MMC so was sent to EPU and they found I was pregnant with twins but no heartbeats. I had to wait 10 days and then go back for another scan where they confirmed both twins had died. I went in for surgery the following day. Such a painful memory still despite it being back in March 2017. Sonographer was amazing at my 12 week scan with DS - so calm and sensitive. My midwife too throughout my care as I had a lot of anxiety.

Pahaha oh god that extra photo that was added was NOT meant to be there!!! How mortifying! That was a photo of my uncle after a few too many drinks on his birthday 😂😂😂

I'm so glad I found this thread. I found out a week ago that I'm pregnant and should be due around the 4th Feb if all goes well.

I've not slept all week with worry. It's going to be a long wait for the scan. I'm booked in with the midwife on the 18th.

@NicJayne1 Congratulations. The anxiety is real. I had a bad day yesterday. I know it’s easier said than done but try not to worry, I let worry rob a lot of joy from my first pregnancy so I’m trying hard to not let it happen this time. X

@katiemc89 it certainly is! Then it’s my birthday on the 21st so fingers crossed baby doesn’t come late and arrive then 🤣🤣

@emvy So I did the test today at 5 am like you suggested (at least i think it was you hahah) It was a another faint line but had some slight cramps and some spotting now. Feels like period is coming tbh.

Still have sore boobs and nausea though and horrendous hearburn haha Maybe tomorrow I'll be out of the feb club haha

@ChunkyButFunky87 Did your line get any darker? I did one of those tests this morning on Af due date, and it was slightly fainter than yours! Got cramping and some potting on tissues now, and also has a chemical last month too!

@Alrowley that sounds stressful. I really hope it’s just implantation bleeding! Could you have got your ovulation date wrong by any chance and have ovulated later than you thought? Are your periods always bang on?

I’ve been feeling very short-tempered today. Other than that, not many symptoms. Is that even a symptom? Maybe I’m just a grumpy cow 😂🤷🏼‍♀️
