Hi everyone, I know it’s kind of early but I just found out my partner and I are expecting. I don’t have any pregnant friends so thought it might be nice to chat to some fellow mummies/mommies who might be expecting around the same time.

A bit about me - I’m Katie, live in the UK and have a daughter who is almost 3.

Hope to get to chat to some of you Smile

Hi all, I am 7wks and 3 days pregnant - due 28th Feb if all is well but I’m so anxious. I had really bad bloating and sore boobs at the beginning but that seems to have gone the last few days. Is that normal?
Tempted to do another pregnancy test but also seems like a waste of time?!

susie34 · 15/07/2020 12:29

Hi ladies,
I'm 9+3, and have been suffering for about 4 weeks of morning sickness from the moment I wake to going to bed. I am in the peak of it, but got a lot of tips if anyone is early in the process and struggling with sickness xx

Kat5464 · 15/07/2020 16:19

Yes I think its normal, I had that too, then went for couple days then the nausea started, and spotty skin, boobs & bloating arent too bad at mo, so hopefully just a change in hormones. Have my booking appt Sat...keep drinking water it helps with most things.

MNGal1987 · 15/07/2020 16:31

Ladies I will bow out of this thread.
Sadly I suffered a miscarriage over the weekend. Gutted beyond words 😔

I wish you all safe and healthy pregnancies; take care of those growing precious bumps 😚 X

KW4816 · 15/07/2020 17:12

@MNGal1987 I’m so sorry to read this xxx

EmBrum · 15/07/2020 17:15

I am so very sorry for your loss @MNGal1987 take good care of yourself xx

CWF123 · 15/07/2020 20:09

@MNGal1987 so sorry sending lots love x

CWF123 · 15/07/2020 20:11

@susie34 I think that's okay, I felt similar but wasn't sick, I'm all 11 weeks today (according to my app) and I'm still nauseous, dry crackers, ice lollies (lots of these) and the sickness bands have been my saviour! The bands really help god knows how but they really do so check them out :)

Kat5464 · 15/07/2020 21:35

Soo sorry to hear this, its very sad, but you will heal in time, just take it slowly, one day at a time. Big Hugs.

Jonsey1987 · 15/07/2020 21:36

@katiemc89 and @MNGal1987 I'm so sorry for your losses. Gutting. Thoughts are with you both.

I feel so behind this group. I'm 8 weeks tomorrow. My boobs are a bit sensetive and I slept a lot on Saturday - if it wasn't for my scan 2 weeks ago I think I'd be in denyl.

J2Squared · 15/07/2020 22:00

I’m the same. Hardly any symptoms and those are reducing now... on tenterhooks waiting for my first scan but it’s 5 weeks away 😩

J2Squared · 15/07/2020 22:01

So sorry ❤️

CWF123 · 16/07/2020 10:03

Iv had a bump for a bout a good month now and it was pretty big to the point my jeans didn't fit...Iv woken up this morning and my stomach is almost flat... I'm worried. Do you think this is normal? I'm 11weeks? My first scan isn't for another two weeks.

JessicaPeach · 17/07/2020 16:13

Hi CWF, yes sounds completely normal as in those early days it isn't a bump, it's just bloating

EssJayyCee · 18/07/2020 06:36

Hi everyone I hope you're okay.
I'm not very good at keeping up with this thread. I just keep dipping in and out..

I am 10 weeks tomorrow.

At 9 weeks my only symptom of tiredness went away and it hasn't come back.

I am getting really nervous again, I don't feel pregnant in the slightest right now. I hope it's not going to be a mmc. 😭

I had a scan 2 weeks ago and there was a perfect heartbeat and baby in there but now i can't help but worry it has stopped growing :(

My 12 week scan is in 2 weeks and if I don't get any signs between now and then i am going to be a complete anxious mess!

Anyway.. enough of my ranting.

I hope you're all doing well :) xx

EmBrum · 18/07/2020 11:29

@EssJayyCee completely understand how worrying it must be but lots of women don't get the sickness symptoms. Lovely to hear of your 8 week scan. My clinic at 8 weeks said that once there's a healthy heartbeat at that stage, the chances of miscarriage fall to 2% which I found quite comforting - although I'm still nervous for the next scan too I agree, but trying to be positive. Best of luck xx

CWF123 · 18/07/2020 14:02

@JessicaPeach it came back the same day 😂 I think I slept on my front! Got a pillow now to stop rolling over!

@EssJayyCee ahh don't worry my friend didn't have any symptoms other than tiredness all her pregnancy has been a nice and easy so far! Plus you've had a scan and all was okay, So try not to worry I'm sure everything will be fine and your growing a strong healthy baby!
I'm currently in bed at 10 weeks feeling horrific my nausea is so bad teamed with a banging head ach 🙈 I hope this eases soon it's horrible

Coreblimy · 18/07/2020 21:04

Hi everyone just thought I'd say hello! I'm 9+3 today and have been experiencing fairly standard symptoms, exhausted and feeling sick. Been eating loads of rubbish to try to perk myself up, although I'm conscious of avoiding the eating for two mindset. Took us a good while to conceive, we were almost at the IVF stage, so it's taken a while to sink in that it ACTUALLY WORKED. I think after having been struggling for a while, I am more prone to thinking about what could go wrong, but I'm so happy to finally have a baby on the way. Had a scan at 7 weeks and they saw a heartbeat, it was the most amazing thing I've ever seen. Definitely starting to feel a bit more pregnant now, have gone up a bra size and have a little belly (could just be the ice-cream though!)

SpunBodgeSquarepants · 18/07/2020 21:34

Is anyone experiencing the opposite of normal pregnancy symptoms?! Instead of feeling tired like I expected, I feel amazing!! I've been waking up between 6 and 7am feeling wide awake and full of energy and without a headache, for the first time in forever! I'm 9+4. I'm usually asleep till gone 9am!! I have been eating healthier - trying to hit at least five a day and upping my fibre etc, and also taking a pregnancy vitamin tablet, 5mg folic acid and vitamin D, wonder if its to do with that?!

JessicaPeach · 18/07/2020 21:47

Hi to all newbies, don't forget to pm me if you want to join our secret fb group xx

EllieCoops · 18/07/2020 22:41

Hi everyone, only just found this thread! This is my first pregnancy and I’m 23, feeling anxious about everything! I’m 9 weeks +2 days, had bad nausea since about week 6 and yesterday I was actually sick as well for the first time, is this normal?
I’ve also had quite a few nasty ulcers these past few days, has anyone else experienced this?
No one knows other than my husband which I’m finding quite tough as I am suffering quite a bit. Feeling so excited and lucky yet feeling ill constantly isn’t nice, trying to take it as a positive that baby is in their and growing hopefully. X

NotOnlyCatMum · 19/07/2020 11:25

Hi Ladies, I though I'd say hi. I've only found courage to join this thread now that I had an early scan which went well. I am 11 weeks today, FTM, super tired and bloated all the time.
@EllieCoops I agree, only my partner knows and I find it difficult to hide when I'm tired and feeling sick. But I'm paranoid so I'll wait for the 12 week scan before I share with close family.
Hope all of you are doing well and have a lovely Sunday.

EmBrum · 20/07/2020 00:36

Hi newbies! Personal choice of course but I've found it so helpful sharing with close family and a few close friends - particularly as I've been so ill - work had to know too with time off being sick. They are the people I would need if something went wrong anyway. Best of luck with your pregnancies x

EllieCoops · 20/07/2020 11:35

Yes I can definitely see why you would want to share with your loved ones, my husband really wants to wait until we’ve at least had a scan, doesn’t want to jinx anything. Only got to wait a few more weeks now, I can’t wait!

Babymama95 · 20/07/2020 23:00
