16 weeks tomorrow 😊 she said she's 99% sure and would say 100% but she's not allowed lol xx

Nic2908 · 20/06/2020 18:31

@lc86 congratulations. So lovely to find out the gender. We found out we were having a boy at 10 weeks from our harmony test and I love knowing it's a boy.

I'm so glad you are still here @Katbaby @djbaker so glad you are still here... I would be lost without this group.

Bumble84 · 20/06/2020 19:01

Congrats on the boys, you can start looking at all the gorgeous baby blue outfits 🥰

djmbaker · 20/06/2020 19:39

Yay on finding out it's a boy!! How lovely. 💙
My partner just said he thinks we are having a girl... he has no reasons but said he keeps getting a vibe 😂😂

I've been getting lots of tugging and almost pinching feelings this week, on the left and right hand side. Feels weird. Anyone else have any peculiar feelings??

My nausea has been horrendous the last few days 🤢

SettyBuarez · 20/06/2020 19:58

I'm still here. Nothing really to report. Got my quad test on Monday, and I'm so bored as I'm not allowed to go to work (school staff, trust decision based on union and govt guidance) and I can't do much for my role at home. Trying to fill my time with learning to knit and cross-stitch!

How lovely that some of you have been able to find out what you're having! So exciting!

@djmbaker I've had aches like that. Not all the time, just random twinges that are almost like cramps but not quite the same.

Yellowbeansontoast · 20/06/2020 20:02

@djmbaker I've had these aches, too! Almost feels like someone is poking me there.

I've been referred to haematology, got an appointment in a few weeks. Assuming it's because I'm slightly anaemic, but no one's actually told me anything. Anyone else had a similar experience? Not sure what to think about it if I'm honest!

lc86 · 20/06/2020 20:05

@djmbaker yes, I find I always get them when my period would have been due so mine must be hormonal xx

makingababy · 20/06/2020 20:15

I’m still here too and don’t plan to join fb group - glad everyone is doing well and congrats on the boys 😊

Natt99 · 20/06/2020 20:15

Congrats on the boys! Still here too.
I did the nub whisperer thing but could only do the Ramzi theory with my 6 week scan because nub wasn't visible on 12 week, they said girl for me! Will be interesting to see if it's true in a few weeks 😀
@djmbaker also getting those pains, feels so odd like pulling and poking. Glad I'm not the only one x

calipoppy · 21/06/2020 06:25

@djmbaker another one with those pains! And sorry to hear nausea is still bad, towards the end of mine I got some lemon essential oil that I burned in the house and it really helped eliminate all the smells that were triggering it!

I also have really bad back pain most days now, does anyone else? I feel like the more active I am the worse it gets! Yesterday I went for a walk in the morning and by the evening could hardly move 😂

december2020 · 21/06/2020 07:54

Yay for the boys!! 🥰

Is anyone getting awful pregnancy headaches? I don't have them often but when I do it just wipes me out for the whole day and I'm a total useless person, yesterday was one of those days!

Smiling89 · 21/06/2020 07:59

Anyone else's allergies off the chart?

The anti histamines I'm allowed have helped a bit. I'm still sneezing, my nose is completely blocked, itchy eyes and my mouth is dry. I know they're meant to be worse during pregnancy but I wasn't expecting this.

Pea1984 · 21/06/2020 09:16

Oh yes to all those questions - sore back, crazy hay fever, headaches, weird pulling behind belly button. I feel like all I do is moan to my husband. It’s quite nice to her I’m not alone and I guess it means everything is as it should be.

Shroppy · 21/06/2020 09:43

@december2020 with you on the headaches paracetamol doesn't seem to touch them but I've found a shower and fresh air helps a bit.

Has anyone started to get their energy back yet and if so when did it happen? I'm only just over 12 weeks (scan was on Friday, all good and due New Years Eve) but still exhausted all the time and it's getting to me now!

calipoppy · 21/06/2020 10:26

Haha listen to us with our long lists of symptoms and this is meant to be the easiest trimester!!

I have got my energy back now, most days at least! I'm 15 weeks tomorrow and I'd say it's been better for at least a week maybe a bit longer, so hopefully not too long for you!

Tink679 · 21/06/2020 11:35

I’m still here too! Not had much to report and have been pretty down due to symptoms, work etc but have managed to get up and clean the house today, back at work tomorrow night so hopefully this is the beginning of the energy boost kicking in that I so desperately need. 13+4 today so just into the second trimester!

Congratulations on the boys 💙 how exciting!!

I’ve been doing some crochet to pass the time my OH calls it my granny hobby, I’m 29!! It has been pretty therapeutic though and will be lovely keepsakes

Helski123 · 21/06/2020 12:24

I'm 13 + 3 and definitely starting to feel more normal! More energy and able to eat some of the foods that I've been off for the last few weeks (still no chance of drinking tea though)

@Tink679 our first baby purchase was a crochet book to make an animal blanket for the baby. My OH has been teaching himself and has done his first square. I'm so impressed! He needs to teach me now so I can do some. Love your crochet hat and booties, so cute!

Tink679 · 21/06/2020 12:40

@Helski123 - wow that’s fab! My mum taught me when I had the twins and they both had/still have a blanket that I made. It’s so addictive once you get started. So far I’ve made 3 plain neutral blankets, 2 hats and a set of booties, about to start mittens and hopefully a cardigan. YouTube is great for trying new patterns and projects.

I’m managing tea but coffee is a no go! Really looking forward to a roast today! Can’t remember the last full meal I managed to make/eat

SettyBuarez · 21/06/2020 13:22

@Tink679 How did you get started with crochet? I've started knitting but can only do a very basic stitch (?) at the moment. I bought a Peter Rabbit cross stitch yesterday but I'm a bit intimidated by it at the moment. Love the little hat and booties!

@Helski123 would you mind sharing the crochet book you got? The square looks great!

SarH89 · 21/06/2020 14:50

Hi there, hope it’s ok to join!
I’m due 27th December with my first, just had our dating scan on Friday Smile

Helski123 · 21/06/2020 15:13

@SettyBuarez this is the book we got, it's got some really cute squares in it. Mainly used Bella Coco videos on YouTube to learn though.

I'll have to start cross stitching again too. Did a birth sampler for each of my sister's 3 kids which they all have on their bedroom walls.

Congratulations @SarH89 😀

Nic2908 · 21/06/2020 17:44

Well today I told my parents about our baby. I wrote it in my dads fathers day card. It's his first grandchild and so his jaw hit the floor, they didnt suspect anything and they are so happy. Like two little giddy teenagers (they are.mid 70s). Just such a magical moment.

Natt99 · 21/06/2020 18:32

Aww that's so sweet @Nic2908 must've been amazing news for them! Hats off to you aswell for keeping it secret for so long x

djmbaker · 21/06/2020 18:47

Glad I'm not the only one with weird twinges and pulls!! It's so strange how it feels. It's not painful just weird?? Some days my tummy feels SO sensitive to touch??? It's bizarre.
Nausea is killing me!! I may try the lemon essential oil.. it's actually starting to get me down now. I feel like a zombie constantly. I hope it starts to wear off come 14/16 weeks. 🙏🏻

Aww @Nic2908 that's beautiful. ❤️ I was hoping my partner would announce it today but he has decided not to, he thinks maybe after the 14 week scan next week? He's so worried something is going to go wrong and I'm not sure I can say anything to calm him. It's easier for us I guess as we feel it everyday don't we??
