@calpolatdawn I'm just burping constantly, it's gross.

FTM at 34.

Congrats on all the scans today 😍

ceebee21 · 17/06/2020 23:12

I'm a FTM and 26...will be 27 when baby arrives though xx

calpolatdawn · 18/06/2020 06:15

i might be the youngest last time mum here lol, i assumed many would be older. Oh its horrible isn't it? Helski123, you just feel gross, maybe chewing gum might help? iys a life saver for my morning sickness and reflux.

djmbaker · 18/06/2020 07:19

@calpolatdawn @Helski123 another burper over here 🙋🏻‍♀️ my partner thinks it's hilarious how much it happens. I hate it!! I go a lot bigger at night I get a bit uncomfortable at night so god help me when I'm 30+ weeks 😂😂

This may be a bit TMI but does anyone get like a random ache in their bits?? It doesn't hurt and it's not long lasting just like every now and then I get like this weird ache feeling and then it goes! It's really hard to explain. Id love a bath to help soothe all the aches but we annoyingly don't have one in our house 😩

Hope everyone is ok today! xx

calpolatdawn · 18/06/2020 07:30

yeah the bloating at night, its terrible can't get comfortable at all 😔, feel horrible, djmbaker, yeah sometimes i know what u mean, so. many different aches and pains. Grin

ReocBr · 18/06/2020 10:19

@calpolatdawn YES! Doesn't matter how much I eat at night I just feel huge! Is the only time I feel like I have a bump - it goes from flat to looking like I'm 37 weeks!!! I'm sure it's all gas but it's so weird and so uncomfortable.

ReocBr · 18/06/2020 10:54

Oh and I'm 31 and FTM Smile

makingababy · 18/06/2020 12:50

I may have broken down and sent my scan pics to the Nub Whisperer - she’s predicted a boy! 💙 I also posted on a Facebook group and they’ve said boy too (but only one comment)

I really want to know for sure now 😂 we’re going to book a reassurance/gender scan so my husband can see the baby moving too.

Anyone else feel like they’re going a bit crazy with everything?! I spent loads of time thinking about the baby rather than working yesterday 🤦🏻‍♀️

december2020 · 18/06/2020 13:24

@makingababy I feel the same! I've struggled to hard today to concentrate with work and achieved nothing so far. Need to really get my act together this afternoon as there is actually quite a bit to do.
Aaah congrats on the (potential) boy 💖!! I sent mine to the nub whisperer as well but she reimbursed me saying she couldn't tell, so now I'm feeling a little impatient to find out. When are you booking your scan? We booked ours yesterday for July 18th - seems forever away!

calipoppy · 18/06/2020 14:01

I'm exactly the same with work! Unless I have to do something really urgent I'm so distracted with thinking about the baby! Even though it's just a waste of time as I never get any closer to actually buying anything!

Nic2908 · 18/06/2020 16:09

20 week scan has just come through the post for 29th July... along with a consultant appointment as I have a high BMI. We also have a private scan booked for 30th June.... eeeekkkkkk. Were telling the in laws tonight.. will be on video as they live abroad. How did you guys tell your immediate family?? Going to tell mum mum and dad on fathers day on sunday I think.

Bumble84 · 18/06/2020 17:53

@nic2908 good luck telling your in laws! I’m strangely nervous about it even though I’m sure they’ll be delighted! We’re also telling our folks at the weekend to coincide with Father’s Day! Will just tell friends as and when after that.

Has anyone had any negative reactions to the news that had told yet? I have a new boss now and he made it clear when I started what he thought about women having babies 🙄 I couldn’t care less what he says though. He obviously thinks we shouldn’t have a next generation!!

december2020 · 18/06/2020 18:10

@Bumble84 I told my boss and all was well and she was happy, but now she completely ignores me each time I bring up aligning a bit of a maternity leave plan (as it needs to be signed off and agreed with your line manager). Probably as she's super busy but she'll respond to everything else work or non work. 🤷‍♀️

Bumble84 · 18/06/2020 18:48

@december2020 how strange, maybe take it as a compliment that she doesn’t know how she could possibly replace you!

Rnic1x · 19/06/2020 07:02

Hope everyone is doing well ❤️

There is a December babies group on Facebook it's private though has some really good tips for FTM if anybody wants to me added in send me your Facebook link, it's helped me loads 🙌

december2020 · 19/06/2020 07:33

No idea @Bumble84 you could be right or it's a bit of a "out of sight out of mind" tactic.

@Rnic1x oh that would be lovely! I'm on my phone now and don't think you can send PMs on it, but will dig out my laptop and send you my profile link later this morning 💖

makingababy · 19/06/2020 10:56

@december2020 she may just know she can leave that conversation for a bit, as it’s not top priority and there’s still time to have it. I take it she’s ignoring emails/IMs/texts rather than just blanking you when you raise it on calls? Maybe you could diarise a conversation about it? Or check with others who’ve taken mat leave at your company to see what the timing was When they agreed their mat leave plan?

MrsSmith2020 · 19/06/2020 11:46

Hi ladies, hope you're all keeping well.

I'm 14+1 today; Still struggling with strong nausea and weight loss. Hyperemesis has eased so no more vomiting! Just don't want to eat.

How much is too much weight to lose?

Our 12 week scan was lovely, baby waved!
Next scan is late July. We will have a private scan in 2 weeks so daddy can see the baby.

Have people started to buy stuff yet?

X

Bumble84 · 19/06/2020 17:08

@mrssmith2020 that’s good your sickness has eased but sounds like you’re still having a time of it! I wouldn’t worry too much about the weight loss and just try and focus on getting nutrients into your body any way you can.

I haven’t bought anything at all yet but my husband has gone into full on Nesting mode already. He’s been painting and picking out wallpaper for the nursery. It’s really sweet and I love him all the more for it. I’m more likely to pick out prams and read reviews etc so I think we compliment each other well.

princessgingy · 20/06/2020 10:38

Hi all. I was in the first thread I think but I have been quiet for quite a while. I had some light bleeding and was getting very stressed and easily comparing myself to everyone else and worrying about my lack of symptoms. Felt I needed to take a break from looking and things online. The bleeding stopped very quickly fortunately and the GP was very reassuring but sure it was just some implantation bleeding. I started to get a lot of tiredness and nausea soon after. I had my 12 weeks scan on 11th June and the screening tests and all appears to be well. I feel like I can truly get excited now and not worry so much. Due 22nd December and this is my first pregnancy. Going to the scan alone because of Covid was so nerve wracking and buying maternity clothes online has been a right pain. I’ve got a good little bump now and sore boobs but the nausea is getting better. Bit nervous about going into work for the first time since kick down next week as I have only just been offered a permanent contract so expecting a few comments from my colleagues. My line manager knows already. Anyway that’s just a little update. I hope everyone else is well.

Nic2908 · 20/06/2020 16:35

Hi Guys, I'm not on facebook so wont be joining the page but I would love it if we could keep this thread going too??

djmbaker · 20/06/2020 17:35

I'm still here 🙋🏻‍♀️ xx

Katbaby · 20/06/2020 17:51

I'm still here, just haven't had much to report since scan on Tuesday! Sickness feels like it's subsiding and definitely have more energy. Got a face full of pimples though and I normally never get spots 😒😒

Pea1984 · 20/06/2020 17:59

Oh exciting...is that the first of us to find out the gender? How far along are you @lc86?
