@newmumtobe66 currently I'm put between 15th and 17th December so we're about same time! This will be my first. I'm looking forward to my scan so I can have EDD updated although I'm aware baby comes when baby wants 😂

Good morning ladies. Hope you dont mind me intruding. Been lurking on the chats for a while. I'm now 9+5 and will have my 12 weeks scan in 3 weeks which feels like forever!!! Nausea seems to have slowed down in the last couple of days but still feeling super tired all the time

Morning everyone, I've had to drag myself out of bed and put a face on as my boss is video calling me this morning! Been sick once already but have managed a slice of toast so fingers crossed start to feel better.

How is everyone feeling today?

Scan tomorrow it's gonna feel like a long couple of days until my appointment tomorrow at 7pm!!

Morning, I'm just used to waking up feeling like crap now. It's just hard work getting yourself going I find.
Im really tired today, my body feels really heavy.
Is anyone suffering with their sense of smell?? Honestly I think I need to buy a tent and live in the garden , I can smell the dog and the cat wherever I am and it's driving me mad 🤢

My sickness is weird, it hits me at strange points.. I'm nauseous most of the day then I'll randomly be sick at 11pm at night which is odd??

Countdown to scan on Sunday, hoping all is ok.

The next two days are going to drag for you @Katbaby but at least you know it's almost here. Have you rung your docs about your sickness? They could give you anti sickness tablets

@djmbaker yeah I'm the same waking up like crap everyday, I'm usually sick on a morning just bile /water as stomach is empty and then normally starts to feel better throughout the day. Some days doesn't get better.

I haven't said anything to docs as I am able to keep food down most days so wouldn't say its really severe just debilitating when it's a few times a day.

Can't wait for a scan just to confirm I'm actually pregnant haha. Even though I feel this ill it still doesn't feel real!

I have been the same, I actually dread waking up because I know how ill I will feel. I start to feel a bit better in the evenings but all mornings I am just heaving or being sick bile or whatever I might have managed to eat. Even though I had a scan at 8+3 I am still so worried that something will have gone wrong by my next scan, does anyone else feel like that or am I just cracking up?

Report
djmbaker · 18/05/2020 12:09

@PocoyoandEllie no your not alone! I had my first scan at 6 weeks and I've got another one on Sunday and I still don't feel confident. I keep saying "if the scan goes ok.." everything is IF or maybe. I can't seem to quite believe it just yet xx

Hi, I’m also nervously awaiting scan. It seems normal for all of us to be worrying that something could be/go wrong. All these programmes like one born and life and birth are great but I do think it gives you a bit too much insight into what can go wrong. I’m also a slightly older ftm so I’ve had a fair few friends that have had problems as well. Sometimes too much info is a bad thing!!

I think I'm older than you @bumble84. I've just turned 39. Had my DD when I was 36. Also had MMC in February so I'm super nervous and anxious something will go wrong. I really dont feel nearly 40 but my 30s seem to have just flown by. Been very busy getting married, divorced, married again and having a child!

I've been so sick for weeks now (I'm 8+1) and was medicated a week or so ago. They haven't been making much of a difference but today I've been wonder woman! Tidied house, showered, dressed, dine a load of work, washing and played with DD. Felt the best I have in weeks. Of course now I'm worried something's happened and that's why I'm feeling better. Literally cant win!

FTM due 16th December.
Can't wait to meet our Christmas bundle!

I felt mildly nauseous for first time today - felt funny after my avocado and toast and also after lunch - had a ginger and lemon tea which helped. I’m 8 weeks today - love the way the apps update! Baby is a grape already!! I’ve been having some pulling/mild cramps in my uterus again which I guess is due to it getting bigger.

@MrsSmith2020 snap!

Report
Katbaby · 18/05/2020 16:26

My stomach has been a lot more settled today, threw up before breakfast and then a little bit straight after lunch but dealt okay other than that. Just wish I looked forward to food and that I could think of food that doesn't make me bork!!

Things Ive read say sickness often peaks in the 9th week which I'm heading into so hopefully starts to taper off a bit in the next week or 2 and I can look forward to food again!

@newmumtobe66 that's amazing. How are you feeling? I have had all day sickness for 3 weeks and recently developed a nice headache. This pregnancy is not a glamorous as I thought Confused

newmumtobe66 · 18/05/2020 16:47

I have been a little queasy but mainly just really really fatigued. I’ve had a few small headaches, food aversions, certain smells drive me crazy and huge problems with sleep! Lots of bloating and pain too

@katbaby so glad to hear you've had a better day! Last two days have been amazing for me compared to the weeks before, I think I'm about a week ahead of you so hopefully same will happen for you! 🤞

Totally get what some others were saying now about freaking out when your symptoms disappear! It's literally like someone flicked a switch and they're gone! Not complaining though!

Hi ladies, my sickness bands arrived at last, have had them on all day and felt fine up until now, I'm starting to feel sick again so might try and eat something.

Felt ok mentally this morning but now I feel weird, thinking negatively and not liking it at all. Did go for a walk so hopefully I'm just tired and will wake up bubbly again tomorrow.

I’m now in week 10 and have def felt a lot better for about 5 days now. The nausea has died down so I’m back to three meals a day, rather than eating every 2 hours.

Still not completely over it, some things are still making me retch - I’ve been quite lucky in that I’ve not been physically sick, but have been v nauseous and dry heave (sorry!)

Hi all, hope you don't mind if I join

Sickness was the worst this morning I literally feel exhausted today now, bath and early night for me I think.

Thankfully 10+3 today so hopefully the sickness will calm down soon, can't wait for my scan on the 5th June! First pregnancy so just want to be sure everything is ok
