@UpsyDaisy1234 I feel you! I also work in hospital and it’s absolutely terrifying 😞

1990shopefulftm · 04/04/2020 10:14

@Kitkatkit I'm not too fussy on most foods and I'm grateful he can go for me so not too worried if it;s not the same on the list.

@UpsyDaisy1234 @Jaffas22 It must be taking you a lot of courage to still be going to work. I hope the public keeps following the advice and that we get over the worst soon.

DressingGown87 · 04/04/2020 10:24

@UpsyDaisy1234 I honestly feel for you so much. Sorry that your in this position, that you can’t stay home with your family. I also hope that the public keep listening, to try and reduce the spread, and make your job that little bit easier. Hope the government and the hospital are doing everything they can, to protect you and your colleagues. You too @Jaffas22, and thank you both for everything you are doing, during this crazy time.

@1990shopefulftm one of my male friends has gone to get me a few bit this morning. I’ve sent him a shopping list, in picture and text format, in hope that it’s right 🙈 also to get me some birthday cards for my “ex” step children, as it’s painful that it’s their first birthday in 5 years that I’ve not been there.

Thank you, a bit battered, cut and bruised this morning. So Laps round the garden it is! Hope you all feeling ok.

Freddie1987 · 04/04/2020 10:24

@Danielle95lab wow amazing scan!! Super happy for you 🤗

I finally have my 12 week scan date sorted, turns out they sent my bloody scan letter to London where I used to live! Has anyone else had theirs and been able to film it for their partner to watch afterwards?

DressingGown87 · 04/04/2020 10:35

@Freddie1987
Glad you’ve got it sorted! I’ve not had my 12 week yet, but they said no filming when they booked it, due to it being a health Screening check. But can give extra photos. I think it will vary between trusts.

1990shopefulftm · 04/04/2020 11:12

@DressingGown87 hopefully he ll find the right things for you. I forgot to ask when I booked my scan but I assumed no videos. I forgot to ask how much the pictures cost too.

DH is going to drive me to the hospital despite it being very close, pay for parking and wait there whilst I have the scan so he's closer in case there's any bad news, his work is letting him use the appointment allowance to do it.
of course I m expecting it could possibly change but when he told his work about the pregnancy on Wednesday they ve said that he can still have full pay for his paternity leave as things stand rather than just statutory so we re in a very lucky position at the moment.

DressingGown87 · 04/04/2020 11:50

@1990shopefulftm parking is free at our hospital at the minute for everyone. However it’s quite busy (because it’s free) and nurses, doctors are using the main car parks for safety reasons, and there are a lot of contractors. So it was quite difficult to park, but he could drive round and look for a space. It’s good your in that position with his work too. I think the pictures are £5.

1990shopefulftm · 04/04/2020 11:56

@DressingGown87 yes he can always drive round then grab me from the maternity unit.

UpsyDaisy1234 · 04/04/2020 14:57

Thank you so much ladies.Lets keep hoping this is all over soon🤞

Freddie1987 It will be tricky to get a video as you need to lie still during scan & not distract the sonographer. Besides, i doubt videos are even allowed. Just go with some coins - £5 worth and get some photos, your Dh will be as much excited.

1990shopefulftm You must really be excited. When is your scan date? Is it your 12weeks scan? I hope it goes smoothly. Please show us a photo later.

UpsyDaisy1234 · 04/04/2020 15:06

@Dianelle95lab That is so beautiful and it's definitely looks like your little angel is giving mummy a wave.

1990shopefulftm · 04/04/2020 15:21

@UpsyDaisy1234 Yes, my 12-week scan, it is April 21st.

I've had a private scan at 8 weeks and DH's face lit up when he saw them (it's our first baby and he's never seen an ultrasound before) so I m a little sad he might not get the experience again. I'm still excited to see how much baby has grown in a bit over a month.

Jaffas22 · 04/04/2020 15:27

@1990shopefulftm we have the same scan date☺️ Il be almost 13 weeks! Hope it comes round quick!

WaveStreet · 04/04/2020 15:32

@1990shopefulftm my scan is the day after yours and I'm exactly the same, my husband was so excited when he saw the scan at our private one so it'll be sad for them to miss it.
I might book a private gender scan, if they are open and allowing partners by the time we get to 16 weeks, if not I'll probably wait for the 20 week scan. Once baby is here I'm sure they won't mind that looking back they didn't get to see all the scans with us.
It feels like such a long wait still til the scan doesn't it??

1990shopefulftm · 04/04/2020 15:33

@Jaffas22 I think I ll be 12 weeks and 4 days, our due dates must be very close :) mine is October 30th.

1990shopefulftm · 04/04/2020 15:36

@WaveStreet I know the scan clinic I went to stopped guests two days after my scan, not sure if many clinics allow guests now.

Yes when baby is here, it ll all be worth it and it ll be quite the story to tell them when they re older.

WaveStreet · 04/04/2020 15:50

I'm optimistically hoping things may be different in 6 weeks time...who knows! 🤞

I'll be 13 weeks on the day of my scan, my due date is 28th October so probably very close to both of you @1990shopefulftm & @Jaffas22

Jaffas22 · 04/04/2020 15:53

@1990shopefulftm yeah my due date is 28th! However at my private scan at 7 weeks was measuring a little behind so we will see what they say on 21st ☺️

roarfeckingroar · 04/04/2020 16:35

@DressingGown87 oh gosh are you ok today ?? It's wonderful how your local shops are delivering, do you live in a small village?

@Danielle95lab what a great photo! Do you feel reassured now? I wish I could see mine every other week, can't believe I have an eight week wait now until the 20 week.

I feel like I don't really belong in this group given I cocked my dates up so much but I'm staying if you'll have me Grin

UpsyDaisy1234 · 04/04/2020 16:36

@1990shopefulftm 21st is also my 12weeks scan date and I will almost 13weeks then

UpsyDaisy1234 · 04/04/2020 16:38

@Jaffas22 Wow! You too on the 21st? Amazing!

UpsyDaisy1234 · 04/04/2020 16:44

I will be over 13weeks by 21st actually cos according to the scan i had last friday, i am precisely 10weeks today. Even though 12weeks scan is the most accurate dating scan.

Danielle95lab · 04/04/2020 16:45

@roarfeckingroar I feel so much better thank you for asking!! Omg don't be so silly, you have to stay now you've been here since the beginning 😂 plus we love catching up with your journey 💕xxx

1990shopefulftm · 04/04/2020 16:48

@UpsyDaisy1234 as long as it's under 14 weeks, I believe they can still do the screening at the scan if you want them. I m 10+1 today and by my maths the scan date is 12+4.

UpsyDaisy1234 · 04/04/2020 16:55

I will be over 13weeks by 21st actually cos according to the scan i had last friday, i am precisely 10weeks today. 12weeks scan is the most accurate dating scan, so my date is most likely to change by then.

@1990shopefulftm I'd be sad too if it were my first. And am gutted for you and other first timers here too. I & Dh don't mind i'd be going alone as this is my 3rd baby.

Looks like so many of us, if not all, would be having our 12weeks scan soon.

1990shopefulftm · 04/04/2020 17:02

@UpsyDaisy1234 we were lucky we kept cash aside to get the private scan done, so at least he got that one experience of seeing them.
We had always planned to tell some people in person about the baby but didn't have the option, I m just hoping they don't have to meet them through a window in October.
