@roarfeckingroar good luck with the scan! So exciting. This is your gender scan?

Had another blood test at the hospital. They are doing this "drive thru" blood test where you rock up in your car, stick your arm out and take your blood. It was rather horrid for me - arm was at a weird angle and I had to keep it upwards. Really hurt this time, and I am not exactly a fan of blood tests...

I hope it gives me more details around these anti E antibodies I have. Anyone else here has the same?

Has anyone asked in the scans if they can use video call what's app for their partner? I still have six weeks to wait for my 2nd scan but someone mentioned it last time but I didn't ask. Did feel weird not having your partner there especially when the letter said he could, they said they just weren't changing them, so was crying before I even went it. X

Oh my gosh!!!! Baby is doing well and the heart beat is strong!

@roarfeckingroar congratulations! And we all thought girl didn't we? How exciting that you know now and you got to see him again! Was your DP with you and did you feel safe going to the scan?

But oh my gosh a tiny baby boy. A boy!

Am I being irrational to be really upset with DP. It feels like he's being very selfish to not find out too when I don't have anyone else around to tell about it and get excited about it with now. Not sure if I'm being hormonal but I think he's a selfish arse and I'm strongly considering choosing someone else for the next baby!!!

@roarfeckingroar fantastic news ☺️ Lovely to hear baby doing well! Was this private? We’ve booked a private one in 2 weeks time so DP can come and to hopefully find out the sex .. but I know they’ve changed the scan to ‘fetal health scan’ not a gender scan.. how did you play it? Did you just ask them if they could tell you

@Jaffas22 it's a well-being check for the baby and they will ask you if you want to know the sex. It's all straight forward and easy. Hope yours goes well

@roarfeckingroar Thankyou ☺️ Just didn’t want them to frown on me for asking thinking it’s the only reason we’ve booked it .. it is one of the reasons but having problems at the beginning I just need that reassurance also!

@clalou83 my hospital had a sign up that said you are not allowed to FaceTime anyone during scan and the scanning room even had a sign that said no mobile use as well..

I cried during my scan saying, 'I wish my partner could see this.' We had private scan at 7 weeks but babe was just a little bean. Really considering booking private again.. I just want my DP to see how much baby's changed

My DH was less than enthusiastic about find out the gender. And yes, I was upset he wasn't as excited as I was. They process the whole pregnancy differently as they are not the ones carrying the beastie. It's more of an abstract idea for them. Of course our hormones don't help in this situation 😬

@justtb yeah that's why I didn't ask as thought it be a no, kinda felt silly to ask. My partner looked so sad when he had to walk out.

So these private scans, are they at clinics? And they let your partner in now?
