@DressingGown87 Fortunately,I didn't walk there. GP had no clue so eventually rang the maternity unit as antenatal isn't picking up the phone. They wouldn't give me the number to book the scan myself just said to wait for the call back.

@1990shopefulftm That must really annoying. The bloods normally should be done between 8 -10weeks but unfortunately things are not normal☹️. I have been booked for my bloods on the same day i'll be having my 12weeks scan. Honestly, the whole unstability worries me. Don't worry, we will all be alright, fingers-crossed🤞

@UpsyDaisy1234 my booking appointment was a little late for my liking anyway but I thought I d at least be getting things moved today and as I haven't got a scan booked I was really hopeful to at least have the bloods on time but I ended up crying on DH once I got back.

I've just had my 12 week scan and I'm another two days ahead - due 11 October so 12 + 4. Everything looks good and it actually looks like a baby now not a little manatee!

I also had my permanent contract confirmed today by HR, so all in all a great day

I still haven't had my midwife / booking appointment. That's tomorrow. All a bit backwards.

@1990shopefulftm that's awful, did you get it sorted out?

@MamaNaz20 I've only just read these posts properly and I'm so sorry. Thoughts with you, please be kind to yourself.

@roarfeckingroar they ve just rung me now to do the booking appointment over the phone so I just need to call to book my scan now.

@roarfeckingroar Great news! Glad your scan went well. It's just amazing how much they change and grow each passing week. Have you told anyone yet? Family? Friends? Congratulations on your job news by the way.

@DressingGown87 They lost your blood samples you mean?

I've told quite a few friends and all family but I haven't announced it as such and probably won't. I told my boss yesterday and she was fine. My due date jumps forward with every scan .

@roarfeckingroar that's brilliant news! So happy it went well and great to hear about your contract too. Such positivity throughout this pandemic💕

@1990shopefulftm I can't believe no one notified you of any changes!! Get your scan booked in so you have something else to look forward to and let us know how it goes over the phone with midwife xx

@roarfeckingroar I meant to ask you as well, are you starting to show at all? I have the usual bloat but when that goes down I'm pretty much my normal self. Just hard to believe that a baby is inside there 👀😂xx

@Danielle95lab all sorted now, did the booking appointment over the phone with an apologetic midwife and my scan is booked for the 21st so it's at 12+5 I think so not as bad as I thought.

@1990shopefulftm that's not far away then really! How exciting, let the countdown begin💕🤰🏻

@UpsyDaisy1234 yes they’ve lost the samples. Some tests have been done, but not all.

@roarfeckingroar congratulations!! Amazing scan photo! And congrats on the employment front too! I need this magic time travel to make my dates jump, but somehow don’t think they will 😂 That does seem backwards!

@DressingGown87 yes bloods and urine tests after the scan appointment. Sorry that they ve lost your blood, are you doing better with needles now?

@roarfeckingroar that's great news! I had scan today 10+2 and also starting to look a little bit more human.

So sorry some of you are having trouble with appointments.
When I had bloods done yesterday the midwife said some patients aren't letting midwife come to their house and are getting their bloods done at 12 week scan. So I don't think this is a really big problem, especially if healthy and low risk?

I kind of feel a bit better the last few days (10+2), less nauseous maybe a bit less exhausted but not sleeping well. I feel like my energy might be better but scared to say that because whenever seems like symptoms come back the next day!
Definitely don't have a bump yet, bloating seems to have settled a bit though. My BMI is 26 so a bit overweight. I had to weigh myself today and I was so nervous as felt like I had put on loads of weight and my jeans feel tighter, but was only about 2kg which I am not surprised about given amount of carbs and cheese I have eaten!

@1990shopefulftm Glad you were able to get booked in over the phone, and that your scan is in too!

Oh @MamaNaz20 I'm gutted for you 😢 Came on here to see if there was news and I'm just so sad for you. Take care of yourself and I promise you will be ok ❤️

@1990shopefulftm the same happened to me yesterday. Had a phone call this afternoon so at least I've now had my booking appointment, but now got to wait for a letter with scan date which will "probably" arrive within a week. I'm 11+3 already so suspect I'm going to be close to the 14 week cut off for scans!

@roarfeckingroar crazy you've been moved so often, it's one way to make the pregnancy go more quickly! Congrats on the job!

Also @roarfeckingroar your pic is beautiful 😍 How far along are you?

Managed to speak to antenatal and they're expecting to do my booking in over the phone. But they did give me a scan date 17th April - will be 12+2
Gutted I have to go alone but it's our second baby so I think it must be a lot harder for you guys who are having your first.
