This is a safe space and supportive thread for anyone who is pregnant following a loss.

We all understand the worry and anxiety that can come from being pregnant again following miscarriage/stillbirth/neonatal death.

Plenty of births on the last thread, congratulations to you all!

Let's start a fresh roll call below? I'll collate as we go.

@rubyroost I think you handled it really well. It’s such an anxious time especially with potential complications. So glad they got him out and you can now recover. Presumably you’ve got to use those newborn clothes after all. I might put an extra set of smaller clothes my hospital bag just in case. Xx

InDreamland · 03/03/2020 10:01

Place marking so I can continue to follow your journeys.

Can't believe my little girl is 19 days old today. She's just amazing, our little miracle rainbow 💖 we're so in love with her.

I know I said it on the last thread but congratulations again @Rubyroost can't wait to see a piccie. Hope you're recovering well from the birth.

Don't forget that there is a private closed FB group you can join at any time pre/post birth where the support continues - many of us who have our babies now and a few who are close to the end have graduated there. Just PM @Beaglemum93 to be added to the group. Would love to see you all there soon x

sadtoday21 · 03/03/2020 10:27

Congratulations again @Rubyroost! You were always the voice of reason anyway in the group, so I think you've done remarkably well and stayed very calm throughout the process :).

38+5 today and have a midwife appointment. Possibly going to have a stretch and sweep today, feeling a bit nervous about that. Still anxiously tracking movement after my late night trip to the MAU and concerns about reduced movement. No signs that labour is imminent :/.

InDreamland · 03/03/2020 10:37

@sadtoday21 hope the midwife appointment goes well!

Navy123 · 03/03/2020 10:51

Congratulations @Rubyroost! Such good news to see and well done!

Thanks for the new thread @Twittlebee

Mistymeow · 03/03/2020 13:44

Thanks @TwittleBee I hope you’re doing ok and no more bleeds and contractions. I know it will be hard for you coming up to the gestation you lost your boy but I’m glad you’re getting some great care.
@Catconfusion how are you doing? When is your next appointment? We are quite close, I’m 35 weeks today.
@indreamland so happy for you! Thanks for checking in, very sweet of you. No more knicker checking :)
@rubyroost thanks for being such a great support on this thread and giving such sensible, firm advice which I think we all needed to hear when we had a wobble!
@sadtoday21 it’s so hard when you’ve had previous trauma, it all comes back. You sound like you’re listening to yourself and recognising when something is exacerbating the anxiety. It will help to know that they are actively doing something to encourage labour along. Even if the sweep doesn’t work you probably will feel a bit more in control. Waiting is hard.

Diabetic appointment with consultant went well in terms of the diabetes but they are concerned about my bp so I was monitored for an hour. It did go down but they ran some blood tests so I’m waiting on the results. Got my induction date- 31st March!

Hey @Mistymeow thanks for asking about me. I’m 35 weeks on Sunday so not too far behind you. Glad your BP went down and the GD side of things went well. Lovely for you to have a induction date too. I have a feeling mine will come in March, I don’t know why.

We have our consultant appointment on Friday so should know if baby still breech, 99.8 centile and if polyhydramnios has got better. We then hope to make a decision about a c section with the consultant. My feeling is we’ll book it and see how it goes. If he does engage, the fluid goes down and growth slows a bit we may go for an induction though it would be nice for a natural labour to start.

Mostly I’m feeling quite chilled right now but figure the anxiety may well start building soon. Crazy to think in 4-6 weeks he’ll be here. It’s very exciting though! Xx

@Kayjay2018 Glad your GTT came back negative.

@Mistymeow I also worry it'll be my fault if the GTT comes back positive so that's reassuring thank you. I'm being tested as I am borderline PCOS and was on metformin for a year and come off at 12 weeks so they just want to check.

@sadtoday21 Good luck, hope it all goes well if you have had the sweep today. Thinking of you x

@Rubyroost Congratulations again! Hope you are both doing well!

Twitwooo · 03/03/2020 21:09

Hello ladies,

Thanks for the new thread!

Had my 28 week appointment yesterday - heard my GTT from last week came back negative which was nice because I convinced myself I must have GD as I nearly fainted four times during the test 🤦🏻‍♀️
Other than they measuring right on track, blood pressure low as usual.
The midwife usefully mentioned it's ok to abandon your car right outside the front door of the hospital if in labour and need to get in quick as I was worried about getting there from the car park 🙊 my first labour only lasted 2.5 hours from when I woke up to dd being born so I am panicking about actually getting there this time around.

Want to add myself to the roll call but can't seem to copy the actual roll call on my phone to do it ☹️ will stick it down here in case someone else can add me on before I figure it out myself!

So I'm overdue, 40+4, induction booked for Friday. The irony - what seems like an eternity of sorrow with miscarriages and endless TTC #2 just desperate to be pregnant and here I am, willing her to just arrive (safely, pleeeeeeease).

Congratulations @Rubyroost 💙
