This is a safe space and supportive thread for anyone who is pregnant following a loss.

We all understand the worry and anxiety that can come from being pregnant again following miscarriage/stillbirth/neonatal death.

Plenty of births on the last thread, congratulations to you all!

Let's start a fresh roll call below? I'll collate as we go.

Congratulations @frillyfarmer well well done! And @fnej01 best of luck. I finally bought baby clothes. Couldn’t face it before and was so superstitious. I also felt motherly swabbing the baby changing table with dettol.. might be coming to the other side now at 33 weeks!

squirrelnutkins1 · 08/03/2020 18:58

Congrats! @frillyfarmer

And all the best to you for tomorrow 🙂 @fnej01

Sounds like a really good step forward 😊 @Flyfisherlady

@RedRobin7 yes I'm on the July board but feel way more comfy here and not to crazy talking about my anxiety. Sorry you're suffering too. It's awful isn't it ☹️ congrats on your boy 😊 I was struggling for a new milestone to work towards but I think your 24 week comment has given me a new milestone. 4 weeks today and she will be viable thank goodness.

@Mistymeow Sorry about your neighbours but yes you'll soon get your own back 🤣

Has anyone else had, what I think is, awful round ligament pain? I had it in the night and it was dreadful. I took paracetamol for the first time and made a warm water bottle. It had subsided this morning but still had a dull ache. It's down my right and into my groin. Naturally I googled the heck out of my symptoms and it all does seem to point to ligament pain but obv now I'm worried about little miss.

MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue · 08/03/2020 19:02

Just a quick one to wish @fnej01 luck for tomorrow! My planned section was an excellent experience and I'm sure all will go well for you, but I was so nervous the night before! Thinking of you and look forward to news xxxx

ChikiTIKI · 08/03/2020 19:29

Wising you and your baby all the best for tomorrow @fnej01 will be thinking of you xxxx

@squirrelnutkins1 I have round ligament pain today. At least that's what I hope it is. Did quite a bit of walking yesterday. It's just in my left dude, had a lot of discomfort there at start of pregnancy too... Also got general allover pelvis pain too. Hope yours gets better soon! Xxx

Mistymeow · 08/03/2020 21:43

@fnej01 wishing you all the best! You will soon be with your lovely baby 💓

squirrelnutkins1 · 09/03/2020 08:57

I phoned the pregnancy assessment unit cus I was struggling to walk today with the pain and they said I shouldn't be at work and need to rest and to make a gp appointment just to get checked over but it sounds very much like ligament pain and at this point in pregnancy there's a lot of stretching going on. I feel ok but know when I get to the gp in half an hour I'll be worrying myself silly.

ChikiTIKI · 09/03/2020 12:47

Oh no @squirrelnutkins1 I'm sorry you're in so much pain. My pelvis hurts today but pain in left side/belly has eased off. Got a midwife appointment today so will ask about it then. Try not to worry- best thing is to get it checked.

I'm so so out of breath today 😔 have decided to finish work on Friday though so not long left, not many early mornings and all the rushing up and down stairs they involve 😀

yukka · 09/03/2020 13:45

@fnej01 thinking of you today, hoping you have baby fnej in your arms now :) xx

@ChikiTIKI @squirrelnutkins1 round ligament pain can be really bad, I used to get sharp spasms that would make people think I'd gone into labour! I think rest really is the best thing you can do. Not always easy though with all the baby prep :) x

squirrelnutkins1 · 09/03/2020 14:37

@ChikiTIKI how did you get on with the midwife?

GP sent me to PAU and I got checked out. Little miss was thrashing about in there 🤣 the pain has subsided a lot so felt a bit of a fraud. The midwife was LOVELY. The consultant not so bothered. She said ligament pain can be a 'little uncomfortable' (?????)

@yukka I'm glad you said that as I was starting to feel a wimp! I couldn't stand up straight with the pain first thing today.

fnej01 · 09/03/2020 15:00

Thanks ladies for all of the well wishes. Baby Boy arrived with us this morning 7lb 8oz. All of us are doing well. DH and I are still trying to work our a name. 💙xxx

Bluebelltulip · 09/03/2020 15:08

Congratulations @fnej01.

@Squirrelnutkins1 it's frustrating when you get passed from one to another. I hope the ligament pain eases soon. I've generally found consultants don't think about the effect things like this have on our lives and view it as not dangerous so therefore aren't bothered.

@ChikTIKI hope you are ok.

Kayjay2018 · 09/03/2020 15:39

@fnej01 congratulations on the birth of your son. Hope you are able to get home with him soon! Ps I struggled to name my DS too and have had real trouble coming up with boy options this time

Rubyroost · 09/03/2020 16:50

@fnej01 congratulations!! A week on and baby brother also doesn't have a name 😳

Rubyroost · 09/03/2020 16:51

@Kayjay2018 I used my only boy name on my first born 😬

ChikiTIKI · 09/03/2020 17:27

@fnej01 congratulations!!!! Wonderful news. Glad to hear you are all doing well.

@squirrelnutkins1 glad to hear you're doing alright too.

I am at the hospital, just had a blood test because I've had itchy arms and legs for about a week now. Waiting also for a scan because my bump measured exactly the same as it did 2 weeks ago, and 2 weeks ago it was only about the 10th centile... They might not have time to do a scan today though, I am waiting just to find out. (I don't know why they didn't say this when my midwife called up and I would have just come in the morning) feeling worried though so I hope they can scan me today.

Sorry to complain but I'm also SO hungry and thirsty 😩

Kayjay2018 · 09/03/2020 17:40

@Rubyroost - eek! DH and I made a list each and then decided we didn't like any op each other's lists so have had to start again. DH has a name if we have a girl, so he then left it to me for the boy. Think I've got two options now, the first has a meaning to the both of us, the second we love the meaning of the name. I have no idea what we are having, not even an inkling, everyone I meet says girl, so probably be a boy 😝

Mistymeow · 09/03/2020 18:54

@fnej01 congratulations! So happy for you. Hope you’re recovering well.
@squirrelnutkins1 that sounds painful, I hope you don’t get any pelvic pain too? I get that at night in my hips and it’s really uncomfortable.

@ChikiTIKI remind me how many weeks you are? Try not to worry too much about the bump measurements. My baby has always measured below the 10th using the tape but scans show she is developing on her line. They are notoriously inaccurate- last week the midwife measured me 4 weeks too small. But I’m getting regular scans so the tape measure is pretty redundant. So I’m sure everything is fine but it’s good they are double checking everything. Can someone bring some food for you?

MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue · 09/03/2020 19:09

Congratulations @fnej01! xxx

ChikiTIKI · 09/03/2020 21:32

@Mistymeow I am 36 weeks now. Scan came back OK, 14th centile. Just got to wait to blood test results. My midwife appt was 2pm and I got home after 7pm 😴 oh well will sleep well tonight I think!

yukka · 10/03/2020 06:53

Congratulations @fnej01 . These first few days might be a bit weird, joy and disbelief at the same time. Soooo pleased for you, was a tough journey but you got there. Soak it all in xxxx

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 10/03/2020 07:59

Just having a super quick read to see how you're all doing. Congrats for the new babies, that's amazing!

Mistymeow · 10/03/2020 08:20

@ChikiTIKI that sounds promising. I’ve just turned 36 weeks today and my little one is also on the 15th which they were happy with. I hope the blood tests come back clear- they tested me for preeclampsia last week which was thankfully clear but slightly alarming. I have my growth scan on Thursday and I’m preparing myself for possible induction in case her growth has slowed (which can happen with GD).

ChikiTIKI · 10/03/2020 19:23

@Mistymeow hope your scan goes well.

Gosh we're getting near the end now. I am at work til the end of the week and then I really need to get stuff sorted! After yesterday I was thinking I might end up in hospital at some point with no hospital bags!!!

squirrelnutkins1 · 10/03/2020 19:29

@fnej01 congrats! Have you found a name yet? X

@Bluebelltulip you're probably right there! Pain has been there on and off today but way better than yesterday. Now I know I was def feeling movement I've noticed her moving soooo much today! It's really nice. Just hoping I can keep being reassured by it and not start freaking out over it.

@ChikiTIKI glad your scan was ok 😊

@Mistymeow thank you x yeah the pain in my hips at night can be chronic. Ive had that from very early on as well. It's almost like a burning and then I'll turn over and wake again in pain then turn over but that side is still hurting. Horrible feeling. Sorry you have it ☹️ yay that you're nearly at the finish line
😊😊😊

InDreamland · 11/03/2020 00:28

@fnej01 congratulations! Hope you choose a name soon. Hope you're recovering well from labour and the birth.
