I’m 38+1 and I’m done already! I’m so uncomfortable, every time I sit down I feel like I’m sat on the babies head, every time I stand up I feel like my insides are going to fall out haha!!

The pelvic pain is unreal, walking is painful but if I sit down for too long that’s painful too! I’ve been having period like cramps for about 2 weeks, lightning crotch for about 3. Every time I go to the toilet I’m hoping my plug will come out but nothing!

Sorry for the moan! I love my baby already, do not get me wrong by my god I WANT HER OUT haha!! The thought of coming late and possibly having another 4 weeks of this is filling me with dread.

Anyone got any tips of how they got labour going that actually worked?

No tips but I would love to know as my due date is tomorrow 😮

Was sure he or she would come early too!

Feeling okay, just tired and very very slow walking as you describe!! Keep reading into every symptom but nothing!

Gonna try a curry tomorrow...

SuddenArborealStop · 04/12/2019 21:41

Try sitting on the ball for comfort if you have one, made me worse but it must work for someone right?
Deep squats got my labour started last time, difficult with the pelvic pain but I used a coffee table to help and made sure dh was nearby to get me up off the floor. It will end soon even if it doesn't feel like it.

Samantha1712xx · 04/12/2019 21:43

Oh bless you! I can’t even imagine how I’m going to feel on my due date!

Have you had any cramps or anything? Everything I read says it’s early signs but could still be a few weeks Sad

Let me know how you get on with the curry!!! I’ve tried sex but it really isn’t that enjoyable when you can barley move hahaha!!

Samantha1712xx · 04/12/2019 21:45

I will try squats! Will have to wait until the morning when the other half isn’t at work, just incase I get stuck haha!

Ha. It's well known that I'm not to be talked to for the entire last 6 weeks of being pregnant.

It's bloody miserable.

Honestly, once the baby's out you'll be amazed at how easy it is to walk and put your shoes on.

I spent the last two weeks of my last sat on a ball, slumped forward over the settee, just groaning to myself.

user1471546851 · 04/12/2019 21:53

I'm 30 weeks at the mo so have a looonnng time yet!
But with my first 2 I drank raspberry leaf tree from 36 weeks like it was going out of fashion!
I also ate loads of pineapple.
The day before ds2 was born I ate 3 whole pineapples (which split my poor tongue) and went on a long power walk.
Both baby's born before 40 weeks.
But may be a complete fluke!!

Piixxiiee · 04/12/2019 21:58

Bounce on birthing ball, deep squats, raspberry leaf tea. Controversial so research first- evening primrose oil capsule inserted.... first dd I was 12 days over due 😖 so second time round I was proactive! I think the oil did it, waters broke at 38 weeks- good job as dd at almost 42 weeks and ds at 38 weighed the same🤔

Samantha1712xx · 04/12/2019 22:08

Haha!! I get the whole don’t speak to me for 6 weeks! But all I want to do is moan! And the other half is on nights, so I’m alone at night and he’s sleeping in the day so there’s no one to moan too which I think is driving me mad! I’ve started talking to the cats!

I’ve heard about raspberry leaf tea! Might have to invest!

Everyone keeps saying they think I’ll come early, but I really don’t think I’m going to, because I hate it so much!

I cannot wait to be able to put my shoes in without making sound effects and I am SO EXCITED to lie on my front! (Unless I end up having a c-section obvs I’ll have to wait even longer for that one)

agteacht · 04/12/2019 22:20

Everyone thought I was going to come early too 😬
Baby has been fully engaged for over two weeks... must be too warm and comfy in there!

Sex - fair play to you, there's no chance I'm doing that in my current state 😂
Having a curry at lunchtime tomorrow as can't face the night-time indigestion otherwise - oh the glamour 😂

After that I think it's a day of walking, the ball and squats (thanks for the tip!) to see what I can get moving...

Boymummy3 · 04/12/2019 22:41

With my 2nd I had the period cramps for around 2/3 weeks before he was due.. I was on a birthing ball everyday bouncing on it watching telly also with walking back and too from school 4 times a day even thought it was painfull he came 1day past due date... Can't say if either worked or if he was genuinely going to come that day anyway
I'm 32 weeks now and I literally cannot wait for him to come im in so much pain and absolutely massive

bobble53 · 04/12/2019 22:43

Argh I’m due today and feel the same! I’ve walked 8 miles today, had a curry and been on my birthing ball and zilch! I think OH is dreading coming to bed as he knows what I have in mind for him 😂😂 I’m just so desperate to get this little one out!

Alderaan · 04/12/2019 22:45

A long walk worked with my first fifteen years ago.

I've had enough already and I'm only 35 weeks

Samantha1712xx · 04/12/2019 23:01

@bobble53 even thinking about an 8 mile walk is exhausting me 😂😂

@agteacht trust me the sex was not enjoyable, for either party HAHAHHAA!! And that’s the thing putting me off curry, I’ve gone through roughly 4 600ml bottles of gaviscon in 2 weeks 😩

As selfish as this sounds I’m glad I’m not the only one feeling miserable!! All pregnant people I seem to meet in person are loving life and I’m just like... I hate you 😂

OP posts:
Samantha1712xx · 04/12/2019 23:02

It seems like the ball and squats are the way forward!

Bellasblankexpression · 04/12/2019 23:06

I’m only 35 weeks and I’ve had enough. My face is fat, I’ve got a double chin, excruciating sciatica so I’m practically housebound, feel massive, can’t sleep, still ravenously hungry yet get heartburn whenever I so much as look at food...

Very jealous of those women who sail through pregnancy. They exist somewhere right?! Grin

agteacht · 05/12/2019 08:25

@Bellasblankexpression oh so sorry to hear about your sciatica. Can definitely sympathise with the puffiness. Ankles especially!!

@bobble53 8 miles??! Bloody hell! No way could I manage that, I would need a toilet break every mile 😂
You're making me wonder if the curry is worth it...

@Samantha1712xx oh the gaviscon 😬
Finding it really bad at the moment at night... maybe it's preparing me for sleepless nights post birth??
And yes who are these happy pregnant people 😂

Feeling your pain too @Alderaan and @Boymummy3

Well at least we're all in the same boat??!

Well my due date has arrived after a night of constant toilet trips, indigestion and a very active hiccuping baby. I'll let you know how the curry goes and crossing my fingers for you all especially @bobble53 given you're overdue ❤️

agteacht · 05/12/2019 18:38

Had a curry at lunchtime. Nada.

Any excitement elsewhere?

Mamabear88 · 05/12/2019 18:58

I was 9 days over so I know how you feel but unfortunately can't offer any suggestions - I did try all the usual ones but nada. My friend swears pineapple worked for her though, she was 11 days late and about to be induced so I have doubts myself but worth a shot.

Samantha1712xx · 05/12/2019 19:16

9 days over 😩 I’m convinced I’m going to go over!

No signs here! Had midwife today, everything was fine.. she’s in the right position still... just the waiting game!

She said sex was the best way to get things going, erghhhhh 😭 haha!!

Shame the curry didn’t work!

I could have written this post! 38+2 today and completely fed up, so sore, standing is sore, sitting is sore, and the sorest thing moving in between standing and sitting! 🤦‍♀️ I have found the ball really helpful though, would defo recommend it.

At least the end is in sight for me, I'm booked in for a section at 39 weeks so only a few days to go! Good luck 😃

WhenTwoBecomeThree · 05/12/2019 19:28

Currently 3 days over, had a sweep on Tuesday and had mild contractions since that seem to have slowed down now, she's been laid on a nerve for nearly a week. Tried pineapple, summoned DP for sex, my ball, a bath and i've just ordered the spiciest pizza I could find. She now needs to be evicted, i've had enough.

Got another sweep over the weekend if nothing ramps up before then!

Samantha1712xx · 05/12/2019 19:49

@peasando I’m 38+2 as well!! Awwww at least you know when to expect yours! I hate the not knowing. Ever since I went on maternity I’m just sat here waiting for it to happen 😂

@WhenTwoBecomeThree bless you 😩 how did you find the sweep? I’m booked for one on my due date (17th) fingers crossed for you!

OP posts:
WhenTwoBecomeThree · 05/12/2019 20:08

@Samantha1712xx it was really uncomfortable and bled a bit afterwards but just kept it in my head that it could kick start labour! Hopefully things will start for you before🤞

Samantha1712xx · 05/12/2019 20:29

@WhenTwoBecomeThree scaryyyyyy! Yeah that’s all I keep thinking, I just want her out 😂 I’m weirdly excited for labour because I just don’t want to be pregnant anymore!!

I could definitely have started this thread today. I'm 37+2 and I've had enough. Dd has decided this week to really embrace the terrible twos and I've lost all my patience. My due date is Christmas Eve which I'm dreading
