So done with being pregnant!

I’m 38+1 and I’m done already! I’m so uncomfortable, every time I sit down I feel like I’m sat on the babies head, every time I stand up I feel like my insides are going to fall out haha!!

The pelvic pain is unreal, walking is painful but if I sit down for too long that’s painful too! I’ve been having period like cramps for about 2 weeks, lightning crotch for about 3. Every time I go to the toilet I’m hoping my plug will come out but nothing!

Sorry for the moan! I love my baby already, do not get me wrong by my god I WANT HER OUT haha!! The thought of coming late and possibly having another 4 weeks of this is filling me with dread.

Anyone got any tips of how they got labour going that actually worked?

40+6 today. No plug. Although it's possible I've lost it and not seen it as I go to the loo so often at night and don't turn the light on.

So feeling a little disheartened. I guess I'm farthing MORE BH than before which is a good sign... Of well.

I was 40+6 when started show and delivered at 41+1. You will notice it as (for me anyway) it is like start of period rather than one hit.

Also PS - I now only get up twice in night at same time as feeds!! No constant weeing!! Something to look forward to

Bloody show today...booked for induction tomorrow :( why couldn’t this have started earlier than the day before!

You can always tell them you'd like to wait another 24 hours or so? Just coz it's booked doesn't mean you have no choice now.
But yay, good news for you! You never know, could be in labour tonight!

@xTinkerbell you could say you want to delay the induction by a day to see if labour starts

Is anyone else finding it hard to control their emotions at the moment? I've just found myself sitting on the floor crying because my two year old won't keep her nappy on. I was never this emotional withy first pregnancy but at the moment everything is making me want to curl up and cry

@owlofathena I got really emotional a day or two before I went into labour!! I cried because I spilt beans down my jumper!

I'm exactly the same at 35 weeks!! It's awful isn't it, especially when all you want to do is have a good moan and get some sympathy but everyone is bored of you yapping about it 😂 this is my first and everyone keeps promising it'll be worth it, so that's all the hope I can pass on to you!

Hopefully baby makes a move on and comes asap, try and be positive and do things that make you happy to get that oxytocin which will hopefully get baby out! Good luck x

Also, a bit personal but you might be more comfortable if you have some 'alone time' (wink wink nudge nudge) instead of actual sex, apparently orgasms bring labour on so get cracking while OH is at work!

Thank you everyone. I've tried to keep busy by sorting through DD clothes (they grow so fast) and now I'm baking a load of healthy snacks to stock the freezer up as I know once baby is here I won't have time to bake for DD as much.
Just wish he would get a move on. At this point of first pregnancy i already had my little baby

Currently having backaches that are coming and going so will see what happens overnight! 40+13 tomorrow so I'm reluctant to hold off on the induction and then have nothing happen

Contractions in my back all night so not currently being induced. Midwife has given me another sweep and I’m 2cm dilated at the minute so being sent to go for a walk and try get things moving. Back contractions are absolutely brutal though!

I'm still pregnant. Baby is showing no signs of wanting to be born. I'm 39+5 today and really had enough. I think he's taking the whole Christmas baby to the extreme and is waiting until Christmas day

Still waiting here as well. I'm due today, midwife appointment tomorrow, really hoped I wouldn't make it! Lol still feel like baby is just right down there waiting to come out, but no signs yet! At this stage, I'd happily take a Christmas Day birth now

owlofathena · 22/12/2019 09:22

Good luck with your appointment tomorrow. I've got mine on Tuesday, really didn't want to have to go to it. At 38 weeks my midwife didn't think I would need the appointment as she was expecting baby to be here by then.

Oh bless you both 😩 they’ll come soon! This last bit is the worst isn’t it, just a waiting game!
