So done with being pregnant!

I’m 38+1 and I’m done already! I’m so uncomfortable, every time I sit down I feel like I’m sat on the babies head, every time I stand up I feel like my insides are going to fall out haha!!

The pelvic pain is unreal, walking is painful but if I sit down for too long that’s painful too! I’ve been having period like cramps for about 2 weeks, lightning crotch for about 3. Every time I go to the toilet I’m hoping my plug will come out but nothing!

Sorry for the moan! I love my baby already, do not get me wrong by my god I WANT HER OUT haha!! The thought of coming late and possibly having another 4 weeks of this is filling me with dread.

Anyone got any tips of how they got labour going that actually worked?

I’ve just had my sweep. I don’t really understand how a sweep can make babies come as it didn’t feel too uncomfortable to be honest. She said my cervix is short and thin but couldn’t touch the babies head even though she said he’s really low down? Booked for another on Thursday but I hope it doesn’t come to that. So fed up 😞

When are everyone due? I’m due Dec 29th but getting induced on the 17th because she’s so big 😂

@bobble53 would you recommend it? I'm really dubious and can't decide whether to do mine on Wednesday or let things roll further.

@agteacht I can’t really say unless it works haha it wasn’t too unpleasant at all, which makes me wonder if she’s done it “properly” as I heard so many bad things saying a sweep was painful etc. It was over within a minute and no blood after etc.

I am now going for a long walk with OH to try get things moving more. I just feel like baby is never going to come and I’ll end up being induced on Monday, but that’s dependent on a bed being available also 😔

@bobble53 I asked my midwife if they hurt and she said if they do it’s being done wrong, she said it’s just uncomfortable! Hopefully yours works for you!

@StephRae 17th is my due date!!

Mine really hurt last time and did nothing so I am not having one this time.
I think I have to resign myself to be really late again but life is very hard at the moment with a young DC. I really thought the second time would be a shorter pregnancy

Baby arrived today at 12.26pm (will have to change my name now). Currently waiting to be discharged. Had a water birth which I would recommend. I don't think it necessarily helped with the pain but it relaxed me and I just seemed to zone out.

I ambulance getting really upset at lack of any real sign of anything happening. I know statistically I'm not likely to give birth you 41 weeks.

And i wish i could enjoy my time with bump and to myself but i just don't. I just can't even motivate myself either. I should in sure thing something better than nothing.

My belly has been tightening all night and I have a strange sensation down below, like he’s constantly pressing down on me. Not sure if this is a sign or if I’m just hoping it’s a sign!

@bobble53 my belly also tightening at night. She's quite tight in there already but guys like a rock. Also feeling lots of pressure down there. But i had that for a while. Just now it is even when sitting which is the only unusual thing.

Well i motivated myself to decorate the xmad tree. So now no more motivation required!

At 35 weeks I was already measuring full term, they tested me for gestational diabetes but everything looked fine so they just concluded I was carrying a big baby which sounds about right as big babies run in my family, my cousin had a baby that weighed 10 lbs 2 oz last year 😂

And yes she’s my 1st baby

I’ve had a lot of pressure down there today and I cannot stop going to the toilet! (Number 2’s but not runny, sorry TMI)

I’ve just been and done a Tesco big shop and I feel like my body is dying 😂 now I feel so so sick!

I feel ya! 40+3 at the moment, failed sweep today because cervix was completely closed. I haven't felt at all fed up until now, now I feel like the end is nowhere in sight (despite being booked for induction on the 19th that I'd rather avoid) Feeling so disheartened and fed up and going to punch the next person who sends a 'no baby yet?' text

Yep! I get those messages EVERY MORNING I haven’t even reached my due date yet!

Have loads of cramps this evening in stomach and also in back a bit but I think it's just Braxton Hicks leading me on 😬
