So done with being pregnant!

I’m 38+1 and I’m done already! I’m so uncomfortable, every time I sit down I feel like I’m sat on the babies head, every time I stand up I feel like my insides are going to fall out haha!!

The pelvic pain is unreal, walking is painful but if I sit down for too long that’s painful too! I’ve been having period like cramps for about 2 weeks, lightning crotch for about 3. Every time I go to the toilet I’m hoping my plug will come out but nothing!

Sorry for the moan! I love my baby already, do not get me wrong by my god I WANT HER OUT haha!! The thought of coming late and possibly having another 4 weeks of this is filling me with dread.

Anyone got any tips of how they got labour going that actually worked?

Well I can tell you what didn't work as I went to 42 weeks (14 days over):

  • raspberry leaf tea every day for 6 wks
  • pineapple
  • prunes
  • curries
  • walking miles and miles everyday

but the one thing I couldn't face was sex, so maybe that's the answer, keep trying GrinGrin

@CountYourRoosters sex is the thing my midwife recommended! I’ve tried it twice, but we just end up laughing at each other 😂

@preggers506974215 oh no!!! Mines on nights at the moment so I have the bed to myself which is quite nice! Until he comes in in the morning snoring like a walrus when I’ve just managed to drift back off!

They’re such teases!!

I’m so so hot today! No heating on, sat in my bra, even had the back door open! Which in December I don’t think is normal 😂Are hot flashes a sign or is there something wrong?? Google is giving me a mix 😩

I’m not sure if my waters have broken or if it’s just wee - grim! Put a pad on to see what it’s like in an hour. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼

I am so done. I have gone past my EDD which I know is bull anyway and I have long gestations so I think 2/3 more weeks of this and already so fed up and miserable

I had a sweep to kick things off.

2 actually and boy, did the 2nd one kick it off. By the time, we'd driven home, I was on my way back to the hospital again 🙈

Ask your MW to do it at your next appt if you're a little dilated?

I’ve got a sweep booked for my due date! 17th, so I’ve still got a while to go 😩 then another booked for Christmas Eve! Erghhhhh haha!

Well...update after my 2nd sweep! My waters were bulging and I'd gone to 3cm, my midwife accidentally broke my waters at the beginning of the sweep and contractions have now started. My waters are still leaking but they were like a film, they just burst! We'll have our baby in less than 48 hours they said😁

Yay @bobble53 ! How exciting!!

The first sweep I had started early labour so very mild pains for about 24 hours. Then that second one... well DS arrived 6 hours after, on the hottest day of the year!

I didn't find them uncomfortable as long as I breathed through them. They worked magnificently for me though.

Good luck to all of you waiting! It's such an awful time, you feel like the world's about to fall out from your hoohaa. You cant sleep. You can't eat without downing a gallon of Gaviscon. I'll be joining you in feeling like that in about 6 months! Grin

Still nothing here! The pain hasn't changed, reduced if anything so most likely an induction in the morning, Little Miss has until 8am for something to happen but it isn't looking likely😩
