So done with being pregnant!

I’m 38+1 and I’m done already! I’m so uncomfortable, every time I sit down I feel like I’m sat on the babies head, every time I stand up I feel like my insides are going to fall out haha!!

The pelvic pain is unreal, walking is painful but if I sit down for too long that’s painful too! I’ve been having period like cramps for about 2 weeks, lightning crotch for about 3. Every time I go to the toilet I’m hoping my plug will come out but nothing!

Sorry for the moan! I love my baby already, do not get me wrong by my god I WANT HER OUT haha!! The thought of coming late and possibly having another 4 weeks of this is filling me with dread.

Anyone got any tips of how they got labour going that actually worked?

@owlofathena 😂 oh noooo! This is my first so I don’t have anyone else to worry about! I can’t even imagine how hard it is with a toddler running wild!

Yeah I’m worried if I’m late I’ll come around Christmas! I have a sweep booked in for my due date and again a week later which is Christmas Eve 😩

I’ve given up trying to encourage baby out! I have tried everything! OH suggested watching something on tv I really want to watch and Sod’s law will mean the baby will come!

My MW hasn't mentioned a sweep to me. I have an appointment next Monday which would make me 40+4, maybe she will offer one then and there??

I don't even know if I want one! I mean I guess I do but sounds a bit ugh. And in my head labour not starting naturally by Monday wasn't really an option...

Have cleaned the house top to bottom, had my hair cut, nails done, there is nothing left to do but walk and bounce and wait 😂

A bath. I haven't tried that yet. That's tomorrow so...

@WhenTwoBecomeThree I’m sure we will change our minds when the actual contractions come like WHY DID I WISH THIS UPON MYSELF 😂😂

@bobble53 most probably!! I keep hearing we’re going to get snow... so my luck will be when/if that hits as it’s a 45 min drive to the hospital 😂

A twinge of some sorts please 🙏🙏🙏
@bobble53

I'm absolutely knackered for no reason. I've slept loads. A possible sign??

Everything's a possible sign

40 exactly today. Three occasions of contractions starting and stopping in the past 5 days but nothing! Even woke up at 3.30 with back ache and tightenings and that died off. Never envisioned going over (naive FTM)

Started getting an upset stomach and more bowel movements at 35 weeks, and am slightly
Nervous this is a sign of early labour even though I’m done being pregnant already 😬

agteacht · 06/12/2019 13:25

Oh no welcome to the club @3rdtimelucky2019
But the contractions sound like a positive sign!
Another naive FTM here... was sure the baby would be early!

@Bellasblankexpression I think that's quite normal once the baby starts engaging as more pressure etc... if it's any reassurance I've had that for about 4 weeks. But everyone different of course

I keep getting twinges that are making me stop in my tracks and gasp in pain, then I waddle to the sofa and they disappear 😂

I’d rather have all or nothing! I keep getting excited then NOTHING

Baby keeps squirming and jabbing me, getting me all excited but nope nothing! He is clearly running out of room in there but doesn’t realise how much comfier he would be if he decided to meet us!!

Nipple twiddling. Has to be an hour a day, though.

Report
agteacht · 06/12/2019 15:29

@Samantha1712xx that sounds positive surely??

@bobble53 same here...

@EgremontRusset not sure if you're joking but as an aside I've been expressing small amounts of colostrum to no other impact

Keep going ladies!

Was hoping something was going to happen before my 2nd sweep tomorrow but still zilch!! 40+4 and hoping she can tell me I've dilated more than the 2cm I was on Tuesday. Went for a 2 hour walk this afternoon and she feels really low, had period type pains all day but constant so hoping something starts😩

Report
bobble53 · 06/12/2019 15:48

I’ve tried the nipple stimulation! Tried sex, pineapple, raspberry leaf tea, walking, bouncing on the ball and curry. They’re all myths!

@agteacht haven’t had anything since so feel like it was a tease!

We’re all going to be pregnant forever 😂😂

That’s how it feels 😂😂

Now one of my nails has snapped off and I can’t get in at the salon as I don’t know when the little bugger will make an appearance! First world problems 🙈

I'm 38+1 and completely same as you OP. I had my DD at 38+5 so I've had it in my head my DC2 might come a similar time or so I hope. But recently keep hearing from other mums who went over their due date the second time.
I just remember walking loads with DD but I wasn't as uncomfortable last time and it was in spring. Hope we all have our babies soon Smile
