Thanks Belago, I have been crying with fear and now crying with relief and joy. I think they only saw me because of last time (as they were very busy), but so grateful to have had the scan and seen the baby!!!

belgo · 17/08/2007 19:17

angua - is this the first scan you've had in this pregnancy?

MerlinsBeard · 17/08/2007 19:20

angua, sorry i completelymissed your post!

Glad things were ok though

AnguaVonUberwald · 17/08/2007 21:07

Mumofmonsters - thank you.

Belago - yes, first scan this pregnancy - there was a head, and arms and an umbilical cord and everything.

I keep looking at the scan and trying to dare to belive its actually there!!!!

daisyandbabybootoo · 18/08/2007 11:21

I found you...I've not really been on line all week as have had relatives staying, so will catch up later...

I just wanted to say that my SIL, who bled until about 20 weeks with a haematoma between the placenta and the wall of her uterus (which wasn't discovered until she was 20 weeks) delivered twin boys naturally in the wee small hours of this morning

another bleeding in pregnancy success story to help keep spirits up.

hope you are all ok!

Uki....any news yet?

belgo · 18/08/2007 12:58

congratulations to your SIL daisy! what an great story.

Feedmenow · 18/08/2007 16:42

Uki · 19/08/2007 12:09

Hi All

seems a bit quiet right here now, though that can be a good thing can't it
we like un- eventful pg's !!!

Daisy - yes read old post Little Levi has arrived.
BIG congrat's on your new nephews, that is fabulous news. x 2

We's navel has sweeled up and is oozing. DS had same problem, very rare but had a hole from naval down to stomach, which required operation at 5 months. LL looks worse than ds so we went to A&E to get checked. he is now on antibiotics as he had a high temperture, and will need to get ultrasound and specialist appointment this week. Really hope he doesn't need operating on

Angua- great news -9 weeks is great, keep going

Jules- if you are about....
I'm thinking of you. If you want to talk about it please do, maybe it will help a little.

Firstar- Hi, i'll come over soon, very busy with new one and all the appointments i have this week, Hope you and LO are settling in nicely

Mump- not sure where you got the idea my labour was pleasant...anything but LOL
will only have an elective c/s if i ever have another

Did anyone get my email pics, i'll try and put them up here too.

Uki...I've posted on your AN thread!

spugs · 19/08/2007 15:21

hi, just got back from a couple of days camping in lakes where we go washed out and had to go stay at a friends
just checked in on my ante natal thread and its awful theres 4 or 5 ladies who have mced in the last few days knocks your confidence and makes me feel awful for them cos i remember how horrid it is and yet still dont know what to say!
i hope everyones well on here and getting nice and round xx

spugs · 19/08/2007 15:22

oo uki congratulations just realised your news

spugs · 19/08/2007 15:29

mumofmonsters - just saw your thread hun, my symptoms have faded a bit dont feel as sick or constipated. ive put it down to being 9 weeks and heading towards the magic 12. bodies gtting used to yucky hormones etc. were the same (9+4) so its prob just that xx

MerlinsBeard · 19/08/2007 19:45

i got told off for posting that spugs, well at least thats what it felt like.

Yep we are the same or i am a week behind.

Feedmenow · 19/08/2007 20:03

MOM, was that told off on the March antenatal thread? If that is what you are talking about, I saw that and thought it was rather off!! But if it isn't what you are talking about, then what ARE you talking about???

MerlinsBeard · 19/08/2007 20:03

yeah on the march thread.

glad i;m not the only one who thought it was off!

Feedmenow · 19/08/2007 20:11

I haven't checked on to that thread yet cos I've been worried, but I look in there now and then. TBH, I think that people who haven't experienced mc can't/don't really understand how it fills your just about every waking moment when pg again and how scared you get that it will happen again. Thats kind of why I've stuck around in the pg after mc thread cos I know that you do all understand.
I'm sure they didn't mean to have a go over in March, I just think they don't understand (lucky for them!)
Anyway, how ARE you feeling today?

MerlinsBeard · 19/08/2007 20:32

just come over when you are ready. i feel really lonely over there, everyone else is buying stuff already and i want to yell at them to wait a while. Obviously i can't though!
Spugs i 'see' on here and angua too now so will prob spend more time here than there.

They really are so lucky not to know what its like. i wouldn't wish a mc on anybody

still no symptoms, slightly achy on left a bit but its intermittant and is very occasionally on the right. googled and it sounds like a corpal luteus cyst or something like that anyway.

just want to get to 12 weeks and see a heartbeat theni can get my hopes up a little. i think if i prepare myself for the worst i will handle it better than i did last time (if i need to)

EllieG · 19/08/2007 21:11

That's a shame MOMff - about the March thread people - the April ones are lovely, though I know what you mean about wanting to tell people not to buy stuff, some of them are talking about maternity pillows etc, and I can't bear to think about getting anything. I did last time round, and was so hurt at having to put it away etc. This time I ain't getting a thing til that magic 12 week scan, and I am not getting attached to it and not naming it (we always called the last one ELvis - very silly I know) and not talking about it in the vain hope that if/when it goes I will not be so absolutely devastated. I know I will, but have to do something to try and protect myself.

EllieG · 19/08/2007 21:11

Sorry MOM accidentally added a couple of f's to your name there!

MerlinsBeard · 19/08/2007 21:13

thats why i like this thread so much. because people know how hard it is!

daisyandbabybootoo · 19/08/2007 21:22

MOM...i just had a look at the march AN thread and I agree the comment about moving to a positive vibe was a bit off, for you and the women who have suffered MCs on that thread. I don't think I posted on my AN thread until I was about 10 weeks, but the women on there were just lovely and I felt supported whenever I mentioned my previous MCs.

you'll get all the support you need here though and we understand your need to talk about your previous MCs.

EllieG · 19/08/2007 21:23

MOM - on a different note - I am only 5 +1 and my clothes are getting really tight this week because my stomach is so bloated! (And I have terrible wind sorry if TMI ). Is this normal? Have put on a couple of pounds in last month through general gluttony, but that doesn't account for the size of my tummy! Am a bit disturbed by it as looking PG and is only teeny weeny at moment so I shouldn't be.

daisyandbabybootoo · 19/08/2007 21:24

Ellie....I KWYM about buying things. I did with my first MC and also with the second as I didn't think it would happen to me again. This time around I didn't get anything (except maternity clothes as i ballooned really quickly, LOL) until after my 20 week scan and I was very slow to get the nursery ets organised....not wanting to tempt fate I suppose.

Hope you are all well. I keep dipping in, but it's really hard to catch up with you all!
