Jules - so, so sorry to hear your news. I am absolutely gutted for you... Words are so inadequate, but my thoughts are with you and your lovely dh. Make sure you take care of each other...

Will you speak to your doctor and ask about getting referred? If it is any consolation (which I know it isn't, but...), the fact that miscarriages occur at different times in pregnancies is, accordingly to my doctor, a positive sign in that it suggests that it's just bad luck rather than any particular problem. Here's hoping that next time will be more successful for you and that we will see you back on here shortly.

Mumpbump · 17/08/2007 11:34

Uki - many congratulations on the addition to your family! Sounds like the labour was uncomplicated, if not pleasant, which is good. Will you be joining firststar on the success after m/c thread? It would be good if we could all keep in touch through that!

Feedmenow - pleased to hear about your positive scan...

MrsMcJnr · 17/08/2007 11:34

Mumpbump · 17/08/2007 11:38

X-posts MrsMcJnr. How are you doing? I notice you're heading to Spain shortly and have a vague recollection that you were planning on emmigrating there - is this the big day or just a holiday?

Bouncingturtle · 17/08/2007 11:44

UKI - congrats! Have you got some pix of your little man?
Feedmenow - fantastic news about your scan, doesn't it just take a weight off your mind.

Jules - I second what Mumpbump says, try and get referred. Hope you are okay (well, as you can be ), thinking of you xxxx

MrsMcJnr · 17/08/2007 12:13

Hello Mumpbump I?m good thanks would be happier if I felt more movement but have MW on Weds so hope to be reassured by listening to the heartbeat again. I?m 18+3 now We are off to Spain at the end of Sept for a week. We decided to have the baby here and then move 6-8 weeks later but it all depends on selling our house, we have to shift that first I am worried that it won?t happen before the baby and that I?ll have to come back to work soon after (s)he is born to keep up our commitment

Mumpbump · 17/08/2007 12:23

Wow - you're brave! When ds was 8 weeks, I was only just beginning to emerge from my sleep-deprivation induced haze! I guess you can get people to do packing and everything for you though. Whereabouts in Spain are you hoping to move to?

WinkyGirl · 17/08/2007 13:27

Uki Congrats on the arrival of Levi - well done you!

Jules so so sorry to hear your news. Take care of yourself.

Feedmenow really glad to hear your scan went well, hope you can relax a bit more now.

MrsMCc Have fun in Spain!

AnguaVonUberwald · 17/08/2007 13:35

Getting low nagging stomach cramps I can feel in my back - phoned midwife who said, stay at home, rest etc.

Has anyone else had this and its been OK?

They have been going on since about 4 this morning!

jules - so sorry to hear your news!

AnguaVonUberwald · 17/08/2007 13:49

p.s. I am 8+5 so past the point where it went wrong last time.

Woooozle100 · 17/08/2007 14:00

Yes Angua - I had pains like that at about 14 wks. I was also concerned by twinges earlier on in the pg. All was fine in my case - probably caused by fibroids and cervical erosions. Also had light bleeding / bloody discharge with this pg sporadically from about 14 weeks. Wishing you all the best x

Jules - just read yr posts and am absolutely gutted for you. Take care and sending you all the love and support a message on here can realistically give. Wish it was more.. wish it hadn't happened to you again. Hope you can keep strong and keep a glimmer of hope that it won't always be like this - however desperate and sad it feels at the moment. Also agree with all the other advice re counselling and testing.

Woooozle100 · 17/08/2007 14:04

Congratulations Uki. Chuffed to read yr news - weren't you tempted to call him Elvis? Only kidding Levi is a lovely name. Wishing you and yr family all the best x

MerlinsBeard · 17/08/2007 14:49

Jules Iam so gutted for you, realy i am

feedmenow...glad your scan went well

Uki, congratulations on your baby boy what a lovely name too xx sending some sleeping vibes your way ;)

Am hanging in there, symptoms so weak now that i am resigning myself to teh worst (altho i know that it doesn't always mean that).having mild back ache which could be due to the way i sit at the laptopbut i am pretty much resigned now to the fact that when i finally get my scan that it will be bad news.

still no contact from MW, should be next week

Aren't i the voice of optimism today!

rubles · 17/08/2007 15:14

oh MoM you do sound down. There is nothing that can make you feel better now other than hearing that your baby it alive and thriving, but I remember those long long limbo days when you are counting down to the next scan and I sympathise. You don't actually have anything concrete to go on that's negative though, do you? You haven't had any spotting have you (sorry if I have missed an earlier post saying you are spotting, but I don't remember one) and you are just getting mild twinges. My advice is to try and be positive if you can - just for your own peace of mind - even though it is almost impossible. I used to have a mantra that went 'you're pregnant, you're pregnant, you're not bleeding, you're pregnant' which I would repeat often to try to stop the negative thoughts swirling around my head. I don't know if it worked but it was about all I could do at that powerless time. I hope you are wrong with what you say, and i think there is a very good chance that you are.

MrsMcJnr · 17/08/2007 16:01

Mumpbump ? it?s just a line in the sand, we?ll see how we go we?ll be staying with my folks for a few weeks and some help from my Mum might be just what we need It?s the South Coast of Spain, Malaga. The plan is hopefully, to sell the house now (right now!) and send the stuff we want to take with us to Spain and store it there (much cheaper) and then spend the time we have left here in a rented place. Our 3 pussycats are coming too

Thanks Winky but not going anywhere for ages and ages yet

Angua ? I have no experience to offer but I just wanted you to know that I am thinking about you

Hello Ejb how are things?

MOM ? hang in there hon, I really hope all is fine, sending positive vibes your way x

Sorry, that wasn't clear - hence the cramping - wasn't trying to give gratuitous TMI!!
