BFP - Anyone else due February 2020?

Hello ladies,

Early days, due my period today and had a BFP since DPO11. It is progressing and my period hasn't arrived so I'm hoping this is a sticky baby! Anyone else recently this week got their BFP? Be nice to have a little group going x

Told my kids today, and my ex-husband and my DP has told his kids and parents so all feels a little more real now! Still got NHS scan to go but feel comfortable telling people after having NIPT scan at 10+6 and good results back.

@tisonlymeagain oh that's interesting! I have a gut feeling mine is a boy, but no idea. I think it's not even a gut feeling, and based on the Shettles Method. We weren't using it, but going by those guidelines it would be a boy. But who knows! Glad you were able to tell people - it's a nice feeling isn't it?

Has anyone heard back about their blood results from their midwife booking appointment? Mine was over a week ago and I haven't heard anything. Am assuming no news is good news?!

Like a lot of you, I'm also feeling really bloated. Weirdly my upper abdomen area is sticking out quite a bit, which is very unusual for me and quite uncomfortable.

It took over a week to get bloods back from booking @purplefig but they just appeared in maternity notes (ours is all on an app)

We’re folder based and my MW told me she’d go through the results at the 16w appointment... though actually they had to get me to come in again a week later so wrote up some of the results then. Seemed a long time to wait but I guess they contact you if there’s anything abnormal.

I definitely have a little bump too, it really feels too early! I work at a school and we finished the term today at the pool and felt conscious of it ... scan in just under 2 weeks so will be good to see what's happening on there 😊 husband already loves the little bump but it's going to take me time to get used to!

I didn't get any info on the bloods they took from my 8 week appointment but guess that means it's all okay. How is everyone doing? Sorry to hear about migraines! I've been feeling much better the last week or so, and able to eat more things (still no meat and baked beans are everything ❤️😄).

Feeling a bit nervous about telling people after the scan. I'm hoping family will be happy of course but I have a feeling others who don't know us as well might judge my age (24) but that might also be me over thinking! Is anyone else waiting until after the scan to share the news?

Hi all! I've not messaged in a while. How is everyone? Anyone here in 2nd trimester yet? I'm 12 weeks 1 day now ahhh! So exciting 1 down 2 to go. I had reassurence scan 4 weeks ago that messured me at 8 weeks and seen heart beat so I'm hoping I see it again this Thursday at next scan. Honestly so scared. Has anyone's symptoms calmed down? Mine disappeared around 10 weeks but are back not worse than ever! Neausea hits several times a day! And the heartburn is crazy!

I'm exactly 12 weeks today and have my scan on Friday, I'm so anxious. I think because we had IVF I'm expecting something to go wrong.

I think mine might move into January @bessie84 My original due date was 6th Feb, then an early scan 5th Feb scan, then next scan 2nd Feb. Actual dating scan next Tuesday so we will see!

I was talking to a friend who had her baby at the start of March this year and when I said I had very little symptoms she replied "just wait". I thought she was having me on but now after reading that I am worried!!

@lovesT don't mind what people think, at the end of the day once you and your DP are happy then that's all that matters! I have a few people told, parents and some close friends. There was too many events recently (and coming up) when not drinking was too obvious, plus I offered to be desi driver as they may as well make the most of me not drinking.

Also can’t believe we are getting to the 12 week scans! It’s flown. Mine is Tuesday. We have a wedding on Saturday and my bump honestly cannot be hidden. I am just going to brazen it out and maybe look really upset if someone asks me...🤣 oh no is that too mean lol.

My symptoms vanished at 10 weeks and haven’t really come back at all, getting really worried. 12 week scan a week today. It’s going to be a looooong week.

Haha ok I won’t! It would be funny though wouldn’t it. I’d love to have the balls to do it to someone when I’m about 8 months pregnant waddling everywhere 😂 Just to see someone squirm lol.

Ok I am guessing it’s a girl! I have a Dd and it looks similar to her scan, really round skull and the little white lines are meant to mean a girl. This could all just be a load of bollocks but I am betting you’re having a girl!

Ah @ronniemipperton it is totally normal for your symptoms to calm down now, the hormones are meant to peak at 7-9 weeks so it would make sense for it to be calming down at 10 weeks ish. Everyone is different too. Hope you aren’t too anxious, my scan is on Tuesday I am wishing the days away! x

@lovesT @hazandduck what are your bumps like? I've just realised that my upper abdomen area is pushed out way more than usual - so I think that must be something to do with bump. Seems higher though!

@Hopex92 you're in the halycon days of the second tri - enjoy!! A lady in the third tri I was speaking to said, if you do feel good in the second tri try and get most of your organising done then (e.g. buying baby stuff), as often feel extra tired / big etc. later on.

@bessie84 congrats on the lovely looking scan - you know first time babies though, partial to showing up late, so you might find yourself back in Feb.

I was up three times in the night / early morning for a wee last night. So irritating - woke up very tired. Realised it could be training for night feeds.....not sure I'll fare well if my mood today is anything to go by!

How's everyone feeling today? Like lots of you, my symptoms have eased up from week 10 and my energy is a bit better too. Still got an aversion to all things healthy though. Hope that goes away soon! Mostly just excited for my 12 week scan on Monday.

Sorry I’ve been awol, sickness has been kicking my butt, even with meds!

I’m 11+2 today and it’s finally eased, I actually have an appetite today 😁

I was meant to have my booking appointment with the midwife today, however the gp just rang and said that the midwife no longer works there, so I need to ring the community midwives! So frustrating as I haven’t been referred for my 12 week scan or anything!

@purplefig mine is definitely lower down, it starts around where the top of my knickers sit and curves to about my bellybutton. It's only really small but tight tops make it more obvious! Glad scan is just over a week and then we'll be sharing the news! (ah!)

My symptoms seem to have eased too, still sore boobs but either I've got used to it after weeks and weeks or they're slightly less painful. I'm going bra shopping today as I think I need to be fitted! I'm able to eat more but not certain veg and meat (chicken is okay) and also, sorry this is a bit TMI but constipation too ... apparently this is common in pregnancy ..

Have my booking appointment next Thursday, the community midwives are wonderful and so speedy :) hopefully I’ll get my scan date after that :)
