Congratulations @Bettyhop 🥰 wonderful news, hope you and baby are doing well x

SullyWifey · 14/05/2019 13:21

@Bettyhop wow huge congrats! That must have been a bit of a surprise!!! Hope you are all doing well! I'm so excited for everyone having their babies now, time has gone so quickly!

28+2 and I'm struggling not going to lie, I feel like I thought I would feel at about 35+ weeks! Back is in agony today and I waddle sooo bad because baby is so low and heavy!

Don't want to wish time away, but I kinda am. Just want to meet them now!!!

stormtrooperjulian · 14/05/2019 14:36

Checking in, 21+1 here.

@Crossfitgirl thanks for the new thread

@Bettyhop congratulations!

I’m on holiday at the moment, we ‘announced’ the pregnancy yesterday on Facebook indirectly by putting up a holiday photo of me with an obvious bump. I coped with the 14 hour flight a lot better than I expected too which was good.

EltzBee · 14/05/2019 15:12

@stormtrooperjulian hope you're having a good holiday, and that the long haul flight wasn't too bad!

@SullyWifey oh I know what you mean about getting impatient!

I'm 24+4 today, and I am absolutely knackered. Thankfully decided not to go to office today and doing what I can from home, had to go and lie down and then fell asleep for two hours. Got a couple calls this afternoon and I don't know how I'm going to stay awake for them, I'm barely keeping my eyes open :(

MrsEG · 14/05/2019 15:33

Hello ladies, just tentatively saying hello again, as I got my BFP last week, after my MMC in Jan. You were all so incredibly supportive at the start of the year when I was having such a bad time, so I thought I would share the good news :)

I can’t believe how far along you guys are! It was morning sickness and 12 week scan anxiety last time I was here - so pleased to see you’re all doing so well!

I am still feeling extremely anxious about this pregnancy so will probably be pretty quiet until I reach my first scan - but just wanted to pop my face in and say hello :)

EltzBee · 14/05/2019 17:01

Lovely to hear from you @MrsEG and so glad that you've got that BFP hugs.

You know where we are if you need to chat. I hope you're able to keep the anxiety at bay and please do look after yourself :) xx

mrsof20118 · 14/05/2019 17:15

Congrats @MrsEG. Hope the next 8 weeks or so go quickly for you x

Delilah7 · 14/05/2019 17:42

@MrsEG so pleased for you Hun xxxx

BostonFern · 14/05/2019 17:54

Congratulations @MrsEG! I can only imagine how anxious you feel, so I hope the next couple of months go smoothly and quickly for you x

ChaosMoon · 14/05/2019 18:30

Congratulations @Bettyhop. That's so quick! Are you doing ok now?

So pleased to hear about your BFP @MrsEG. I really hope it all goes well.

That's great news about your scan @BostonFern. You must be so relieved.

And I'm glad the spotting has stopped @MrsR16.

Happy anniversary @RanchoRelaxo!

Thanks for the tag @Crossfitgirl

ChaosMoon · 14/05/2019 18:36

DD is getting her tongue tie fixed tomorrow. I keep being told it doesn't hurt but my neurotic mum brain can't help but worry. DH is staying home to give me moral support.

Then I have vagina physio, which is basically rehab for the tear. Motherhood is so glam! 😳🤦

BostonFern · 14/05/2019 19:20

Thank you @ChaosMoon. I hope tomorrow goes well, I'm sure it will, but can imagine it must be a worry! Vagina rehab does indeed sound very glamorous 😳

I've had a phone call from the midwife this evening, platelets were raised on my blood test 😬 I'm booked in to see the consultant next week anyway because of my heart condition, so she said she was just ringing so I didn't panic when the raised it at the appointment next week. Trying to tell myself it can't be that high or worrying otherwise they'd have had me in sooner? Does anyone have any experience of raised platelet levels? I'm guessing I'll be put on aspirin now due to the platelets and heart issue?

MrsR16 · 14/05/2019 19:46

@ChaosMoon thank you 😘 coincidentally the spotting stopped but I had to take today off work because I felt so ill! Can't pinpoint exactly why, but I just wouldn't have been able to cope... DH bought me flowers on the way home because he thought that might make me feel better! It's only the fourth or fifth time he's ever done that (and we've been together five years!) 😂 xx

EltzBee · 14/05/2019 19:53

@MrsR16 aw bless you, glad DH is looking after you. If it helps I think quite a few of us have had spells like that especially in the first trimester with feeling so run down and having days where it's difficult to function. Look at yourself and rest where you can Hun x

thumper59 · 14/05/2019 21:07

Thanks for the tag!
Congratulations to @MrsEG ❣️

I've just had a quick read and a catch up, haven't been on in a while. Glad to see everyone doing mainly well!

I'm 15+1 today, and noticed my bump has popped a little more this weekend. All I want to do is take pictures of it and look at it 😫 got some lovely maxi dresses and jump suits from primark at the weekend!! Also got baby a little baby grow from Ralph Lauren (from the outlet, was £39 down to £12!!) and bought my first outfit for baby which is 6months. So will do for next years holiday 😍 it's so gorgeous I keep just taking it out the bag to look at!!

thumper59 · 14/05/2019 21:11

@MrsR16 feeling shit in the first trimester is horrific. Rest where you can but I think you do the right thing keeping busy (within reason!) I found dragging myself off to work armed with ready salted Pringles helped as much as it could 😂

MrsR16 · 14/05/2019 22:23

@EltzBee @thumper59 thanks for your help ladies! It's nice to know I'm not making this up... 😂 xx

Cookie0508 · 15/05/2019 08:41

Weird for some reason mumsnet decided to stop notifying me! Thanks for the tag tho :)

Congratulations @Bettyhop! I bet that was a surprise! xx

@MrsEG lovely to see you back! xx

@CobaltRose96 wow she's changed so much already! Lovely pictures! xx

Into third trimester now and feeling proper pregnant. I'm getting good at the waddle now! Round ligament pain is still annoying but not bad enough to stop me yet. Got my GD test tomorrow so fingers crossed for that!

@MrsR16 no it isn't nice! I was at my worst from 8-10 weeks and since 10 weeks the nausea has been few and far between, actually since about 11 weeks to now I bet I've only had a couple of days where I've felt really tired still and the rest of the time I've been feeling as normal as possible!

EltzBee · 15/05/2019 09:59

@Cookie0508 good luck for tomorrows test! Mines next Thursday I think.

Still feeling super tired, have decided to wfh again today. As my DH put it this morning, he declared that he thought my getting on a train to go to the office would probably sap me of the little energy I do have Blush don't think my boss is too impressed but I'm beyond exhausted, and even going up the stairs I'm out of breath with my heart trying to jump out my chest and have to lie down. D'oh.

How's everyone else doing this week?

Delilah7 · 15/05/2019 11:24

@EltzBee bless you. Take it easy!
I'm well thanks, midwife measured me again two weeks behind still but ok I guess!
She has advised I get a second opinion and demand a consultant appointment due to my levels being still ridiculously high and having no plan in place for the next 8 weeks! Xx

EltzBee · 15/05/2019 12:41

@Delilah7 thanks hun. That's crazy that they have said you need to see a consultant but they've not put a plan in place!

I need some advise ladies...we've got a work event in London over 2 days next month, when I'll be about 30 weeks pregnant. It's our big company event with lots of clients attending and evening dinners and drinks etc. I'm not sure how to ask to not go.

Last year I didn't go because it was the week of our wedding and I was as you can imagine rather busy in lunches and evenings that week! lol.

This year I would have happily gone, but I really don't know how I'm going to cope with travelling to London both days (and I hate staying over places especially when I'm not feeling great). The 2nd day of it, the birthing centre is having their open evening too, so we need to be near to home to get to that (I dont want to miss that for obvious reasons).

The event starts at 8am so I'd have to be on a train by 6.30 to get to London, figure out how to get to the venue, and then I don't know what time I'd be home considering there is a dinner event after. I know I won't be able to cope energy level wise with it even one day let alone both :(

Delilah7 · 15/05/2019 12:54

@EltzBee ridiculous isn't it!!

Just tell them unless they can keep it flexible until next month you'll have to decline now. They can easily pre order stuff but say it will have to be confirmed a week before or something. That's what mine has done anyways. However most of the time they've just ruled me out because I'm pregnant 😂😂 x

MrsR16 · 15/05/2019 13:50

@thumper59 it was almost like my body's was saying "nope, I've had enough, you need to sleep today!" That's pretty much all I did yesterday... I'm lucky really - tiredness is the only thing I've got to go on that I'm pregnant!

@EltzBee I had my booking in appointment this morning... I did not do well with the blood test! I'm so needle-phobic it's unreal! My midwife (still sounds weird) says that she'll try and get me a scan at the hospital for as close to 11 weeks as possible 😊 only 3 weeks to go! As far as your work event goes, I'd be saying that you don't feel it will be safe for you or the baby! It's long days and stress you just don't need at the moment.

@Delilah7 goodness, I can't imagine what that's like! I hope you're doing ok other than no plan being put in place!

Cookie0508 · 15/05/2019 14:03

@EltzBee I had a risk assessment done which included not allowing me to travel for work related events closer to my due date. There should be some sort of health and safety policy for pregnant women which would include not putting them in uncomfortable situations. Might be worth checking with HR. If you're not going to be able to manage the day they must allow for that.
