Mine is on Thurs! I'm not finding out. Didn't with first so plan to do the same (as long as he or she isn't displaying their parts on the scan!).

I seemed to get a bump quite early but then have not got much bigger. My appetite suddenly disappeared about 4 weeks ago so think bump is just replacing the bit of belly chub that was there!

@HeartvsHead wish my appetite would disappear!

I'm 18w today, haven't had my scan date through, I'm hoping it has arrived this week while I've been away. Got mw apptmt on Monday.

Mines in 3 weeks. Bang on 20 weeks which is exciting usually mine are 21+ weeks because they're always busy! Also day before DS2 1st Birthday.

Not finding out this time as DH doesn't want to ...most of the time I'm totally fine with that but last few days I've been having a wobble.

@dottydally my scan is 3 weeks today too! I'm not finding out. Are you?

@Sleepyquest I'll be thinking of you too then! We're not planning to find out. I'm hoping the thought of a surprise will help get me though labour!

Good luck @HeartvsHead! I was worried about actually seeing for myself so asked a friend who had hers a couple of weeks ago and she said she had no real idea what she was looking for so wouldn't have known.

2nd urine infection of this pregnancy and this one hurts like a mother. Such a glamorous time.

I'm in awe of everyone patient enough not to find out the sex. I am so impatient so I will definitely be asking. The weird thing is I genuinely will be happy with whatever I get... but I just feel like I need to know! Scan is 2 weeks today!

@PyjamasForever I'm the worlds most impatient person so not finding out will kill me but DH really doesn't want to know and we found our last time because I insisted so I figure it's fair. We have two boys would be delighted with a 3rd. We'd both really like a girl too but either way we're happy I guess.

I do slightly worry if I find out this time and it's a boy although I'll be over the moon I'll be a little emotional because it's likely I won't ever have a daughter then. We'd like a 4th but not for a few years so might never happen or be a boy against

We had a private scan at 16 weeks because I’d been bleeding and stressing! Everything was fine and we are having a little boy. I didn’t mind either way but DH is a planner and has no patience so needed to know.
They scanned in a different direction to look from the bottom up at ours. You could see his little legs with an extra bit clearly in between 😂 I couldn’t see anything different on the normal view if that helps reassure everyone not planning on finding out x

We found out at a private scan, we didn’t find out the first time so it’s nice to experience it both ways. I loved the build up with other people not knowing the first time, people loved guessing which added to the excitement. But this time for us it’s also helped practically as I’ve already started eBaying some of my sons stuff that I don’t think I will use which I know I wouldn’t have been bothered to do with a newborn around.

It's so exciting!! Keep having dreams that we have a boy so I wonder if that means anything! It's our first so we really don't mind

Oh also, the sonographer at 13 ish weeks was adamant it was a girl based on nub theory...! 😬 Oops!

Ladies please advise!
I am a person who pees a lot anyway (like hourly to 2 hourly) but the last couple of days I've been going every 10 mins (I'm 17+4). Is this normal or does it sound like a UTI?

I have no pain but it's so irritating and uncomfortable!

Hi @Sleepyquest, I've been having exactly the same issue for the past few weeks. One weekend it was so bad I had to go into random restaurants and us their toilets. When it started I went to GP but my urine sample came back clean and I was told it's normal both by GP and midwife a week later. I have retroverted uterus, so that might be the issue. It helps a lot for me if I lean forward when peeing then I feel that the bladder empties more. I also have noticed that that this urgent feeling only happens when I stand. If I'm sitting, it's back to normal.

If it doesn't hurt or sting when you pee, it should be alright. But you might want to get it checked out to put your mind at ease

@Sleepyquest I am very much the same too. I feel like I need a wee again so quickly after I've been but I'm not desperate. No pain or anything either.

My test at my midwife appointment last week came back clear so I've just put it down to being 17 weeks pregnant.

I thought it could just be pregnancy it's just so inconvenient when you aren't at home isn't it! I know the feeling about running to random restaurants/ libraries/ whatever you can find!

I've had this a couple of times specially at night I get up and pee and instantly need to go again the moment I get back into bed!!! The urge comes on suddenly in the car too usually when I'm miles from anywhere! I might have to invest in a shewee so I don't sting my bum if I end up having to pull over 🤣

It's only 3 days now until my booking appointment and scan!!! I'm so excited im like a child counting down the sleeps! If they let us we're going to find out what it is. Ive got my final exam Friday afternoon so I'm going to pick the kids up and take them into town afterwards to celebrate with burgers and baby shopping!

@Farmmum7 is that your first appointment and scan?!

@dottydally it'll be my first appointment I'll be 16 weeks. I have had a scan because I had a bleed at 11 weeks so they just checked there was a baby and to see where the bleed was coming from they didn't give me any meassurements or anything so I've got a pile of things to ask them Thursday!!

@Farmmum7 I'm surprised they didn't do screening! Are they particularly busy where you are?

Just seen the mw and got my 20w scan date at last! I heard the heartbeat which was so reassuring. Getting lots of strainings and stretchings in my lower abdomen which are v uncomfortable but still much easier to put up with than nausea and sickness were!

I'm definitely going to the loo more frequently but that's normal given the amount of room down there with baby growing all the time! A tip for avoiding/managing UTIs from my mw sounds grim but works - wee whilst standing up in the shower as you empty your bladder fully in that position.

I figure baby has just moved to sit in my poor bladder! Maybe using it as a trampoline 🤨

Got the worse headache tonight and DH has to stay late at work. Somehow I've managed to feed, bath and get the kids in bed without any fuss! Now I can lie on the sofa feeling sorry for myself

@dottydally I think so I did get a phonecall when I was around 8 weeks to let me know to expect to be called around 14-16 weeks because of long waiting lists. My letter says if I'm low risk this will be my only scan so I'm going to try and make it last as long as possible!!
