Christmas babies

Just found out I’m expected a Christmas baby, well due 23 December according to online, which has been accurate in the past give or take a day! I know my cycle etc. Excited and nervous. Had some minor spotting the past few days, but AF never showed so took a test today and it was positive!

Anyone else due within days of Xmas? Might take a few days for people to find out if they are expecting a xmas baby. But thought I would start the thread now.

It is a relief to hear that it’s not unusual. My mum also said she wasn’t sick with me or my brother either

Turns out I can't brush my back teeth without gagging now 🙄 let's hope this passes 😂🤢

Got my 12 week scan tomorrow, keeping worrying someone will be wrong - but have no reason to think that!!

@PinkSpring I have mine on weds and feel the same - both excited to see it but nervous in case things aren't okay. Haven't been to any early scans so this will be the first one. Will think of you tomorrow!

@PinkSpring I have mine tomorrow too! I'm nervous too (although we had a scan at 8 weeks and all seemed fine then). I'm sure all will be fine for you tomorrow!

@pinkspring @m0jit0 me three for tomorros! And I've been feeling more and more anxious that something will turn out to be wrong, but with no justification. Hope it's good news for us all 😊 x

@December2019 thank you for the advice, scan went really well, saw the baby's heartbeat and there was so much movement, magical moment and such a relief. I will try to relax now and enjoy the lack of symptoms. Wishing you all the best with your pregnancy. Also, good luck to everyone having their scans today :)

Skb90 great news. Glad the scan went well. Good luck to everyone else who has scans today! My 12 week is 12th of June. We had the 10 week scan last week and baby was looking 10 weeks 5 days, all well. Can't wait to have the 12 week scan!

Got the letter for my scan too - 19th June!! Feels so long away!!!

I've got my scan on Wednesday! So excited / scared!

Hi everyone just read through to catch up and lovely to hear of everyone had their scans already. I had a wee private scan on Saturday and measured between 10+6 and 11 which is where I should be. Wee thing was jumping and wriggling about like mad. Could watch it all day. Have my 12 week scan on 12th, we told family at the weekend as would have been to hard to hide it. They were all very happy for us which has made me an emotional wreck all weekend lol x

Scan was perfect, I cried! Must've been more anxious than I thought. Little flickering heartbeat and a VERY wriggly baby growing in there 😍

@Nervousdave that's so lovely. I've cried at every scan, I'm getting so overwhelmed very easily these days. It's just amazing to see them wriggling about isn't it x

Congratulations on all the scans! I’ve had 4 so far because I was high risk of miscarriage and cried (uncontrollably 😳 ) at first 3 but not at last one which was weird as it was by far the most detailed and baby-like! Baby was moving like mad and sucking his fingers, all very purposeful movements and I wasn’t emotional, it was weird. So in love with him/her though.
@Funnybunnyfluff yeah I had my 12 week scan last week, I’m 13 weeks today, my baby is due on 9th December so a bit ahead of most others on here which is probably why there’s such a difference in scan dates/appointments and stuff. Different health boards too. Thought I would be more relaxed about miscarriage after 12 weeks but nope! 🤦🏻‍♀️ Hopefully once I start feeling the kicks I’ll relax but not holding out much hope, I’m a walking bag of nerves-with a swollen tummy....

Lovely to hear everyone's scans went well today.... I can't wait for mine now 😀

Scan went fine, but as with my last pregnancy I have been put back a week so only 11w 1d so need to go back next week for another scan.

Got to see the baby though and it's little heartbeat and I guess I get another scan out of it next week!

And also due date is now 22nd December!
