Due date next Wednesday. Sweep
On Monday did nothing. I’m so fed up!!!! Hubby has banned me from driving. Mom shows up every day to help me walk my son to nursery because she’s scared I’m going to pop on my way! House is spotless. Washing all done. Shopping all done. Hospital bags ready. I am trying to embrace the end of what will be my last pregnancy but aghhhh!!!! I’m fed up!!!! Anyone else feeling like this? Just about to order a spicy curry with pineapple- wish me luck!!!!

@shiny888 I'd absolutely make the most of the downtime, as it's a whirlwind when baby arrives! Get plenty of sleep and Netflix in!!

We decided to try for another when DD1 was 4/5 months as it took us 7 years to conceive her. However it only took us one DTD this time! 😂

MW said I'm 1cm dilated and cervix is 2cm and very soft. I had loads of cramping after first sweep, but nothing after the one yesterday. Have you had a sweep yet? Xx

shiny888 · 19/03/2019 08:36

@myotherbagisgucci oh wow that was quick to conceive wit the second! I bet that was a shock but a very lovely shock though!! 😊

Oh that's good that stuff is moving along and things are happening down there. Maybe castor oil / clary sage would work for you has you're cervix is opening? I'm having my first sweep Thursday but I'm not hopeful that it will do anything tbh

myotherbagisgucci · 19/03/2019 08:44

@shiny888 my tummy feels very heavy today and like baby is pushing down when I walk, so I'm hoping that's a promising sign.

Yes it was a surprise, as we thought it might take ages! Lol! But we only ever wanted two children, so I'm glad they'll be close in age.

How far overdue will you be on Thursday? I'm not overly keen on sweeps, but they're definitely worth a go! Lol xx

LuckyKitty13 · 19/03/2019 09:36

@Chunk9 oh how annoying. But I'm sure it's done something positive! Keep thinking positive! Didn't realise we were due date twins! My pram has arrived today thank goodness! Only been waiting since December for it to arriveShock. I like to think baby was waiting for it so no excuses now - put you come baby!

LuckyKitty13 · 19/03/2019 09:37

Typo - out*

CaseofEllen · 19/03/2019 09:52

Still here and still pregnant! Period cramps turned into absolutely nothing but a terrible nights sleep Sad

Sorry to see everyone else has made little progress too! It's bloody frustrating at the end but we will soon all have lovely newborns with us.. just not soon enough Wink

shiny888 · 19/03/2019 11:27

@myotherbagisgucci ooo hopefully the LO has descended down more! I really hope things get going for you! Did you go into labour naturally with your first? And how did that Labor go?

My due date is actually Thursday aswell so I'm not even over due yet I'm just done with pregnancy. It's not been a nice one for me though. I had really bad hyperemesis for the first 5 months and then once that settled my blood pressure went really high for 3 months on and off followed by this weird rash I have over my arms which I got told could be my blood vessels which could've attacking the baby and it took a whole month for results to come back to say it wasn't that. I also have the overwhelming anxiety that the baby is going to die before she comes out hence my eagerness for her to be out!!

@CaseofEllen oh no that's so frustrating. You must be shattered today! Any chance of being able to have a day nap? Hopefully your little one is on her way and it still is the start of things. Maybe if you have the energy try DTD again today see if that does anything again?

My fingers are crossed for everyone 🤞🏻🤞🏻

myotherbagisgucci · 19/03/2019 11:36

I'm sorry to hear you've had a bad pregnancy, I'm not surprised you just want it over with. I felt exactly the same before DD1 was born, I was utterly convinced that something bad would happen to her. So I ended up requesting to be induced at 40+0 and she was born perfectly healthy the day after. Maybe if your MH is suffering, this is something you could speak to your MW about. Xx

shiny888 · 19/03/2019 15:58

@myotherbagisgucci they let you choose your induction? I'm under perinatal for my MH not that I can't cope just because of this underlying anxiety that she will die. So il talk to my midwife Thursday about asking to be induced sooner rather than later as I have an appointment on the 27th with the consultant to talk about induction but that's to far away, makes me panicked 😅

Any signs with anyone?

myotherbagisgucci · 19/03/2019 16:07

@shiny888 my induction had to be approved by a consultant. But my anxiety was through the roof at the time with similar feelings as to yourself, so I opted for a elective inducement. Although I had to wait until I was exactly 40+0.

This pregnancy has been far more relaxed and I don't feel the same way this time around, probably because I'm so busy with DD1. Lol xx

Good luck on Thursday and if an induction is something you want, you'll have to stick to your guns as they will probably try and talk you out of it. Xx

Tootyfrooty35 · 19/03/2019 19:34

Still preggo here... Unfortunately bedroom danced isn't happen as HE FELL ASLEEP 😂😂😂😂 But secretly I was pleased as I felt so rubbish I couldn't face it.

Not as many BHs today, or cramping but head is definitely engaged. Went to baby gym with my two under fives (yes, I know right 😂) and was trampolining and running around pulling the two of them on a bean bag! Lots of pressure but nothing else. Saw my community mw this afty and she booked me another sweep for next Monday then said ideally they like seven days notice for induction bookings. I'm not ready to book yet, I want this baby at home as it stands but I'll take it dy by day, especially this week. I really hope next week is the week 🤞🤞🤞🤞

Can I ask if everyone is still driving?? I was surprised on another thread that lots had stopped. With two kids to entertain, as well as stopping myself going crazy, I need to. I don't feel uncomfortable or like I shouldn't be, I drive an smax so loads of room and easy to get in and out. Jsut wondered about others ☺️

shiny888 · 19/03/2019 21:33

@myotherbagisgucci glad this pregnancy has been more relaxing and you've been able to enjoy it more!
If it's my normal mw she is lovely and will back me completely!

@Tootyfrooty35 wow fair play to you for jumping around on the trampolines with your LOs! You must feel exhausted!

Yes I'm still driving quite happily, are we not suppose too? 🙄 I don't feel uncomfortable only sometimes I have a burning / pulling feeling in my back but it's not overly that bad. I hope next week is the week for you also! Il keep my fingers crossed 😊😊🤞🏻

CaseofEllen · 20/03/2019 07:59

Morning everyone! 39+6 today, had some period type cramping overnight and bloody show this morning. Hoping things will progress for me 🤞🏼 hope everyone is doing okay. X

Tootyfrooty35 · 20/03/2019 09:04

@caseofellen sounds promising for you 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

@shiny888 I hope so too! The driving thing, yeah, there's no reaosn to not continue imo but I guess everyone feel differently about it... I just know I have to keep getting out and about and thankfully my car can accommodate my bump comfortably 😂

We're off to the metrocentre today for a few ladt minute birthy bits... My big bla k knickers from last time are absolutely mahoosive, like baggy, as I suspect I was carrying weight from baby number one still 😳 so I need some slightly smaller but still Granny ish ones lol. Plus a few other bits. Maybe pushing my 2.5yo around in the buggy might help, I'll get the 4yo to hop on to for some extra weight 😂😂😂

Hope every one has either a nice restful day or a day of going into labour 💖💖💖💖

Chunk9 · 20/03/2019 09:34

Morning!

I’ve had contractions around every 15 minutes all night. Got down to every 11. Now they’ve died off again!!!! They’ve told me to call them when I’m getting 2-3 every 10 minutes which are consistant in strength. I’m so deflated, felt like I was getting somewhere!!!! She’s told me to carry on as normal not just sit and time, but they’ve died off now I’ve carried on moving about! Going to go for a walk in a bit!

physicskate · 20/03/2019 09:56

Chunk - I feel your frustration!! I had three days of that. In the end, it was a sweep that happened to break my waters that kicked everything off.

When we got to hospital, they said timing them was a waste of time, as I'd 'know' when I was really in labour. The screaming in agony after three days with contractions five mins apart seemed like labour to me, but I was told wasn't!!!

Chunk9 · 20/03/2019 12:10

@physicskate I’m wxpecting another day or so of this! I know it’s definitely labour from having my
Son. It took days with him too :(

Smilenow2008 · 20/03/2019 18:27

Hi ladies, had a sweep yest morn and was already 2-3cm that was 9.15, having cramping and had 2 shows thought I was in full blown labour last night but everything's died down a bit now. my friend has been with me on and off since yest morn she's been fab bless her, so I am not on my own. having another sweep tomorrow if nothing progresses tonight x

Tootyfrooty35 · 20/03/2019 18:34

Really hoping things kick off for us all soon... My friend who used to be a mw jsut said after 39 weeks then it's totally possible, even for women like me who've been post dates twice before. I don't expect anything this week but im 39w tomorrow and hopeful next week might be my week. I'm definitely getting ready to not be pregnant, I know a newborn is no wlk on the park... Especially with two other small people too but at least it's different. The waking up dy after day still pregnant and symptom spotting, getting irritable, tired, feeling mahoosive, not being bothered to do anything etc etc will be over and a new set of challenges will be there but hey change is as good as the rest they say don't they 😂😂😂😂

Chunk9 · 21/03/2019 10:36

How is everyone!?

After 24 hours of sporadic contractions, my waters broke last night about 7pm. We got to the hospital about 7:30 they told me I was only 2cm and probably best I go home- trust your instincts ladies- I know she was coming, I asked to stay and she was born at 20:21. No time for any pain relief!!! It was so fast!!!!! But we’re home and in love, she is just perfect. X

@Chunk9 CONGRATULATIONS! I'm so pleased for you and glad everything is all well! I bet it's so nice to have you're bundle of joy home and in your arms ThanksThanks

Chunk9 · 21/03/2019 11:36

I’m on cloud 9. Our little boy is on his way home to meet her, he doesn’t know she’s here yet! Midwife coming this morning, I’ve forgotten the basics, looking forward to a chat with her x
