Due next week and fed up!!!!!!

Due date next Wednesday. Sweep
On Monday did nothing. I’m so fed up!!!! Hubby has banned me from driving. Mom shows up every day to help me walk my son to nursery because she’s scared I’m going to pop on my way! House is spotless. Washing all done. Shopping all done. Hospital bags ready. I am trying to embrace the end of what will be my last pregnancy but aghhhh!!!! I’m fed up!!!! Anyone else feeling like this? Just about to order a spicy curry with pineapple- wish me luck!!!!

39+3 here and nothing!!

I felt awful yesterday, sickness, dodgy tum and loads of Braxton Hicks, then nothing to today! 🙄

My MW recommended having sex, but honestly I can barely get up the stairs never mind DTD! 😂

If it makes you feel better we’ve done it every day for weeks - nothing very adventurous! - and sod all happening here either though I get Braxton Hicks straight after (and most of the rest of the day now too). Walking up the stairs is actually more effort than spooning on a comfy bed if you do feel up to it.

39 + 3 days here too!! 🤰🏻 Its been just over 48 hours since my sweep... Lost my mucus plug at 10ish this morning but have only been getting the odd twinge and tightening too and then it all seems to disappear like you've said 😩🤦🏻‍♀️ Just in the bath, going to bounce on the ball and express when I'm out... COME ON BABIES, US MUMMA'S WANT TO MEET YOU NOW!!! 👶🏻🎉😂

Ha we tried sex last night. Was hoping it would work but no!!!! Want to try again but last night was so much effort hahahaha

Also tried sex two days ago, lost my plug the next day but nothing else happening so 🤷🏻‍♀️

40+2 today. Had a very loose movement today. Loads of contractions, but no rhythm/pattern and only one that was more than mildly uncomfortable and lasted longer than a minute. Next sweep Tuesday. Only lost a tiny bit of plug last week.

Think I should repack the baby clothes and take out the tiny baby clothes (there was some talk about inducing a couple weeks ago for reduced growth velocity...

I've been really uncomfortable today but Braxton Hicks eased off which is interesting. Have to drop the car in for MOT repairs tomorrow so hoping not to go tonight. Once the car is dropped off it's fine though 😆

I'm due on Thursday when I'll have midwife at exactly 40 weeks. Think I'll be offered my sweep then, should I choose to take it.

Very much done with being pregnant now. Had sex this morning in the hope it may have help kick things off. No signs really, just feel massive and uncomfortable. Heartburn has got worse these last few days. I had a long nap this afternoon which is most unlike me, hoping it's my body's way of getting prepared for what's (hopefully shortly!) about to come

Bloody show!! I've lost my plug and had pink/ reddish!!!

@ballanj my midwife said I'd be offered sweep at 40 weeks so hopefully you are too! Although definitely up to you if you take it. Fingers crossed the napping is a sign, I've read it can be in some cases 🤞🏼

I’m 39+3 and I’ve had nothing except the odd twinge which I’m now thinking might even have been gas!! I had reduced movement last week which lead to a growth scan and he was estimated 9lb 4oz he’s gone from being just above average at previous growth scans to above 95th percentile and I am so panicked because I also have colitis and want to avoid bad tears. Have mw on wednesday and going to ask for sweep even though I won’t quite have hit my due date. Anyone else measuring ahead and panicking about being late?

It's been 14 hours - was contracting regularly, but then I fell asleep and they stopped. Now they're about 20 mins apart. Far more intense than bh but not feeling much progress yet...

@MissMini eek, I hope they're out on the weight but I know a few people who had big babies without tearing so 🤞 for you.

So we went in last night because I keep getting blood. They said I'm not having labour contractions (which is nuts cause they're bloody awful, though they did really die down when we were there) and that I would 'know a whole new level when those start'. And they didn't even check the source of the bleeding!! It's likely just more show, but I keep getting it. Felt like a right idiot for going, even though they recommended it to get checked.

We left the hospital (which is an hour away) feeling totally deflated and I've lost confidence that I can do this... I've had irregular 'tightenings' for two days now and thought they were mild contractions for the last 32... and I've had probably 5 hours' sleep over two nights. Yay. If the pain doesn't get me, the combined lack of rest will!!!

40+4 today and I've got another sweep (third one). I'm hopeful (but also really dreading) this really 'starting' things off.

That's sounds really hard physicskate. Don't feel bad about going in - so much better to get checked out and sent away then something be wrong and you ignored it. You CAN do this and will be able to handle it when the time comes (and if not there is always other pain relief options). I'm there with you at 40+6. I've had bad cramping on and off for a few days but no show and I don't think they are contractions as it's a more constant pain rather than waves at intervals. But they've been bad enough! I don't have another sweep booked in till Friday though. Fx for you and try to get some rest if you can. Maybe as bath might help?

physicskate Sorry you’ve been through that, doesn’t sound fun. You must never feel like an idiot though, listen to your body. With my first they kept sending me away saying my contractions needed to be 3 minutes apart and regular- mine didn’t get to be regular and that close until the pushing stage! If I’d waited that long I’d have had him at home or worse in the car!

You’re going to be fine, don’t lose confidence, hound them if you have to, you need to feel happy and
Comfortable.

Has anyone’s little on gone more active? She’d seemed to quieten down a little- smaller nudges. But since about 2am she’s a real wriggler! Not frantic just back to her normal wiggles and nudges. Will ask the midwife this afternoon but just wondered if anyone else is having more movement?

Yesterday I could tell when each contraction was going to come because she went really active before... not following that pattern today, but she's never been one for patterns!

Ugh second sweep this afternoon- no closer. Midwife said cervix is still quite posterior- apparently it would be further forward if I was any closer. She did add this can change in the space of an hour. Another sweep the weekend and she’s booking me in to be induced. I really don’t want to be induced!!!! If I’m induced it will likely be 25th. I can’t wait that long!!!! Aghhhhhh !!!

I had my second sweep yesterday, this lady was a lot more gentle.... Said I was very favourable whatever the hell that means 🤔😂 Had another part of what must be my mucus plug come out this morning... Don't feel any different apart from that! Booked in for Friday to be induced at 10pm!!! 😳 Due to my munchkin still not being as active... They've said they would rather induce me than take any risks!!
