@Positivity86 so glad everything is going well and baby girl is pointing in the right direction 😊 my consultant has pushed my 36 week scan back to 37 to get more of an idea on whether I should be induced at 39 weeks due to babys size but at last check up baby was head down so like you I'm hoping it will stay that way, I too are useless at telling which part is which!

@Newmumatlast welcome and congratulations!

Newmumatlast · 26/08/2019 14:23

@goodacookie it really is amazing :) I am reassured now that I am 33 weeks and saw some photographs on here of someone who gave birth recently with babies at 32 weeks. Seeing how healthy they are and the size- actual babies! - makes me less worried. I still love feeling her move though even when she is kicking me late at night and early in the morning. I can't wait but also can't believe it is finally happening. Glad you're enjoying pregnancy too :) it's getting tougher now but I'd happily be pregnant always :D

Newmumatlast · 26/08/2019 14:24

@homley thank you:)

Newmumatlast · 26/08/2019 14:25

@brighteye3986 I hope everything goes well with the growth scan. Yes I'd started to think it would never happen. Well into my thirties and younger siblings with multiple children and friends who have teenagers makes you start to think perhaps it isn't my life plan

Positivity86 · 20/09/2019 12:42

Hello! Just checking in to see how everyone is getting on?

I'm now 35+2 and on maternity leave which I'm enjoying so much! Baby is fully engaged according to the midwife so I have a nice waddle going on, not to mention being on the toilet every 2 minutes! Getting very excited now to meet our little girl 🥰

brighteye3986 · 20/09/2019 19:48

Hi @Positivity86 all going well here. Having growth scans to ensure baby isn't getting too big after being diagnosed with my GD.

I'm now 33+4 and finish work next Wednesday.

Have my next scan on the 30th with my consultant appt on the 1st with the hope they will book me for a c section at 36 weeks.

👋🏻

Now 33+1.

Baby still small but has been growing on her curve. Had another consultant appointment with fetal medicine last week and she was happy for
Me now just be seen in the regular growth scan and antenatal clinic which we are pleased about

My induction is booked for exactly 37 weeks on 17 October which feels so close!!

Positivity86 · 21/09/2019 08:28

@brighteye3986 and @PrayingandHoping
glad all is going well with you both and having the regular scans must be reassuring! How exciting that you get to meet your babies so soon!!
My due date is 23 October but for some reason I feel like she might be a bit earlier than that.
I have a 36 week growth scan next Wednesday which they offer as standard in my area, so I'll be interested to see what her estimated weight is. She feels massive in there 😂

brighteye3986 · 21/09/2019 08:30

@Positivity86 my area do a scan at 36 weeks as standard too. At 28 weeks baby was estimated at 3lbs 13ozs and at 32 weeks he was estimated at 5lbs 5ozs... god knows how much he is going to be estimated at when I go for a scan at 35 weeks....

Positivity86 · 21/09/2019 08:48

@brighteye3986 wow good size buba! Keep us posted after your next scan!

brighteye3986 · 01/10/2019 09:37

Had my scan yesterday at 35 weeks exactly... baby is estimated to be 7lb 1oz 😳. Now sat back in the waiting room this morning to see my consultant to hopefully get my date for a c section. Last time I saw them at 32 weeks they advise if he was over 95th centile they would book a c section for 36 weeks... he is measuring at 97th! Fingers crossed 🤞🏻

So now I'm waiting for a call to be booked for my c section next week! As he will be delivered at 36 weeks I will also need to have steroids so looks like I will be spending most of next week in hospital! Can't believe that next week my baby will be here!

Positivity86 · 01/10/2019 14:03

@brighteye3986 wow how exciting!! Keep us posted. Have you got everything ready?

I'm 37 weeks tomorrow so now just waiting! Growth scan last week showed her at 6Ib 5oz so depending when she arrives, she should be a good weight. So pleased we are now in October, feel like I've been waiting for this month to arrive all year 🎃

brighteye3986 · 01/10/2019 14:05

@Positivity86 almost. We are still sorting the nursery out. DH is still decorating it and we still have to build all the furniture... but we have the crib set up downstairs and the petite cot upstairs so he has somewhere to sleep when he arrives. Just his room won't be ready and all his stuff will still be in boxes 😂

Eek exciting times ahead... not long for you to go now....

Wow @brighteye3986 and @Positivity86 not long for you now. I've never heard of a scan at 36w as standard in the UK!

Tentatively joining myself with a bfp at 8dp3dt. Obviously fretting that the line is not dark enough and know it's very early days. This is the result (so far!) of IVF #8 for us. We did four to get our son whose twin we lost in the first trimester and this is our fourth trying for a sibling (preceded by BFN, chemical and miscarriage at 5.5w). Not going to lie, I am totally shitting it Sad. Please let this be our time 🤞

brighteye3986 · 01/10/2019 17:54

@KatnissMellark congratulations! I have my fingers crossed for you!

My area do a scan between 35 and 36 weeks as standard but I have been having growth scans around every 4 weeks. I wasn't expecting another scan at 35-36 weeks but was told to book it after my 20 weeks scan. I was due to have another scan at 39 weeks but baby will be here by then!

So got my phone call this morning... c section booked for Tuesday and have been admitted in for tonight to have my steroid injections done. Not looking forward to them as I've been told they really hurt but it's got to be done!

OP posts:
KatnissMellark · 03/10/2019 17:39

Oh wow @brighteye3986 not long for you now at all. Hope the steroids don't hurt too much and you manage to get some rest tonight 🤞

Are you all prepped now or do you have much to do over the weekend?

brighteye3986 · 03/10/2019 17:42

@KatnissMellark we are pretty much there. Still got his nursery to finish but he won't be in there straight away anyway so we have time to finish it.

We have our his cot up for our room and his crib for downstairs up this week... also took the car seat out of the box too! Most of his clothes and blankets and bedding are washed. I think we are pretty much set for at least a few days... I'm probably going to be in hospital until next Thursday or Friday anyway...

OP posts:
KatnissMellark · 03/10/2019 17:48

Sounds like you're all set! With DS I was induced early unexpectedly and his crib hadn't arrived 😂 he had to sleep in his pram carrycot the first night home, so well done you for being prepared!

brighteye3986 · 03/10/2019 18:13

@KatnissMellark oh no. That was one of the things I wanted sorted so at least he has somewhere to sleep. The pram is still in its box at my MIL's... DH will be sent to get that once baby is here. Luckily it's only a few roads away from our house!

KatnissMellark · 07/10/2019 14:55

Good luck for tomorrow @brighteye3986, will be thinking of you.

Positivity86 · 07/10/2019 16:51

Good luck for tomorrow @brighteye3986. How exciting!

brighteye3986 · 07/10/2019 17:02
