Hello. I thought I'd start a thread for anyone that has had the good news that they are due October 2019. We can go through these looong early weeks together.

I'm 33, first pregnancy
Cycle 6
Currently cycle day 21/12 doo. First BFP at 10 dpo.

I am now testing daily to see if my BFPs are getting stronger. Also still checking temps. Anyone else feel like they have to tip toe around at this stage as everything seems so fragile?

Congratulations!

I've also just got my bfp, It's so exciting but scary isn't it!?
I'm also 33, this is my second pregnancy.

Think I'll be due Oct 2019 too x

DustyShoes · 21/01/2019 09:42

@moonkid Congratulations to you too! How many dpo are you?

I keep getting these waves of unbelievable excitement, and then I feel like I should bring myself down to earth. I am sat in work not able to concentrate on anything, and just Googling instead

Hi guys, tested today at 14 dpo, period due date and got a positive 😄 should be due beginning of October. Still a bit in shock and can’t believe it haha #2 for me, been trying for 9 months

DustyShoes · 21/01/2019 10:02

@Moonkid, I saw your question on twinges on another thread... I do have a similar thing, these twinges were what made me suspect I was pregnant in the first place.

I stretched in bed last night and had a really strong and sudden pulling sensation, so much so that I thought, "I'm not doing that again".

I have read that it is normal, and nothing to worry about. Doesn't stop your mind from over thinking everything though does it?

DustyShoes · 21/01/2019 10:04

Congratulations @Ellii so pleased for you.

Have you had the same symptoms with this pregnancy as with your last?

OP posts:
Ellii · 21/01/2019 10:22

@CowBrow thank you 😊congratulations to you too! And I had no symptoms with my first one, don’t seem to have any with this one either so far except mild cramping. What about you? Any symptoms?

Boadiccea · 21/01/2019 10:24

Hi all! I've literally just POAS as I'm 5 days late and been cramping on and off, no other symptoms yet but a bfp!! Baby number 2 for me and I'm 33 too!

DustyShoes · 21/01/2019 10:38

@Ellii the twinges (assuming implantation) were my only symptom initially. I'm now having mild cramping but nothing too major. It still feels so unreal!

OP posts:
DustyShoes · 21/01/2019 10:39

Congratulations @Boadiccea that is wonderful news!!

How old is everyone's first?

OP posts:
Ellii · 21/01/2019 11:22

@CowBrow same here I have mild to moderate cramping nothing too bad. My first child is 6 ☺️ Congratulations @Boadiccea 😁

Boadiccea · 21/01/2019 11:34

Thank you! Congrats to you @CowBrow & @Ellii & @Moonkid!!!

My LO is 2 at the weekend!

I didn't realise think I was pregnant and had a few drinks at the weekend Blush but am sure everything is fine and I'm only overthinking things!! [fingers crossed]

pinkpig381 · 21/01/2019 11:41

Congratulations ☺️☺️ how many weeks does that make you?

I'm 23, first pregnancy, came off the pill 4 months ago and got my first BFP last week (very early as had to do a routine test). So excited but also so so nervous and hoping little bean sticks! According to my app I'm 5 weeks 2 days, not sure whether it will be a late September or early October!

SunshineAndFizz · 21/01/2019 11:43

Hi there, I'd love to join too. Got my BFP yesterday and am still a bit in shock but very excited. I'm 34 and this is my first, we've been trying for 6 months.

No symptoms so far, just working out how to hide the fact that I'll not drinking, got a few events coming up!

Congrats everyone x x

Womblove · 21/01/2019 12:01

Hello

I did not see this thread and started another under Antenatal clubs so need to delete it... glad to find this one!

Just found I am pregnant!

I am just calming down after the initial shock...

We are delighted but this little one is a BIG surprise!

We already have three girls age 15, 12 & 9.

My husband felt I was pregnant this morning before I even did the test. I was due on today but last few days I keep getting this disgusting smell that nobody in the house was getting... before my shower I just twigged that I had not started so had a test and did it.

I stood in the shower shaking and when my husband came in I burst out crying as was so worried what he would say... but of course he was not surprised at all and was happy...

We are shocked, nervous but happy.

I am 40 and he is 45 and so we are a little worried about being older parents. I said its even more of a reason we both stay healthy and fit.

I do feel stirring in my belly like I am about to come on so don't want to get too excited in case baby does not stick.

My last pregnancies we told everyone instantly but I am worried about taking my kids on a roller coaster of emotions if I lost the baby. My oldest has her exams this year too so will hold out long as possible, I am more worried about it making her wobble!

Congratulations to everyone else!

x

DustyShoes · 21/01/2019 12:13

@Boadiccea I am sure it will be fine. We will all find something to worry about. My DH was away last week and I binged on takeaways the WHOLE time :)

Congratulations @pinkpig381 and @SunshineAndFizz!

@pinkpig381, it is a really nerve wracking time hoping that it sticks. I am only 3 weeks 5 days. Really nervous that AF will show this week. I am keeping everything crossed that it doesn't. My due date says October 2nd at the mo.

@SunshineAndFizz Tricky one! Hopefully you're partner will be at the events to cover for you.

DustyShoes · 21/01/2019 12:18

@Womblove congratulations! I can't imagine all of the emotions you must be feeling having a surprise like that - funny how your husband just new!

From what you have said I understand why you might not tell your kids. Do you have some friends you can tell?

It is driving me crazy not telling people, I am thinking about it non stop, and think that talking might help.

OP posts:
Womblove · 21/01/2019 12:23

@cowbrow yes that is why I came on here as need to talk

I remember coming on here when pregnant nearly 16 years ago with first, I was 23yrs old!

I have changed my name many times as often wanted to talk personal things, it was a great crutch for me with all my pregnancies

Bettythecat · 21/01/2019 12:27

Hi everyone!

I just this morning got my BFP! I am 30 and this was my 5th cycle.

Due on 3 October of this year.

Was previously on a TTC thread which I was totally addicted to so I'm sure this thread will be the same!

I've had a few symptoms so far but all so slight they could have been down to anything else really haha. Changes to my bowel movements (right in there with TMI!), an increase in CM, some slight nausea but that's gone now, boobs feel ok but felt like my nipples underneath were harder if that makes sense. Main symptom is that I've been feeling quite light headed. Has anyone else felt that and if so do you know why?

Xx

DustyShoes · 21/01/2019 12:47

@Womblove I totally understand. There are some wonderful kind people on here with some great insight.

In regards to age, you're right it will keep you young fit and healthy. Its true as well that people are having them older. Just look at all of us on here!! If all goes well I will be 34 when I have a baby, and I will be the youngest in my friendship group.

I bet your kids will be buzzing to and eager to lend a hand too. 3 helpers on tap!!

omghavingababy · 21/01/2019 12:50

Hello! Finally found a group thank you for starting this thread, I am 30 this is my FIRST and I'm incredibly nervous. Got BFP last week my app actually said my due date is 26th September but the September 2019 due date group is way ahead of me I think I'm more October! I'm constantly bloated at the minute
Has everyone rung the doctor yet? As I haven't yet! Do they want to see you straight away or do they advise to wait? I've taken 5 tests already as still can't believe it! We have been trying for 7 months x

DustyShoes · 21/01/2019 12:54

@Bettythecat congratulations! It's an amazing feeling isn't it? I'll be testing again when I get home tonight hoping that line is getting darker.

I've not noticed light headedness; but I've looked it up before and I'm sure it said it was due to a change in the volume of blood. Got be a good sign surely!?

I did have an increase in CM now you mention it. I kept logging it as watery and feeling puzzled as to why I was having fertile CM after O.

GinaJabowski · 21/01/2019 12:57

Hi all!! Congrats to everyone!! I got my BFP on Saturday around 17dpo, had another BFP today with a stronger line!! Had a mmc last May so Although I am only 5 weeks I am going for a scan this Wednesday (there were a lot more complications with mmc and luckily they are squeezing me in)! Looks like I'll be due around 23rd Sept but won't know for sure for another month or two!

DustyShoes · 21/01/2019 12:59

@omghavingababy congrats! How many weeks are you? I am so happy to be talking to people in a similar situation.

I think I'm too early to call the doc (early BFP and not missed AF yet). And I have no idea when you ring the doctor! I'm glad you've asked though, I'm sure someone on here can tell us Smile

OP posts:
pinkpig381 · 21/01/2019 13:22

@omghavingababy congratulations! I rang the doctor on Wednesday and asked what the plan normally is and she said to ring and book in with the midwife when I'll be around 8 weeks (mid February for me). I was a bit disappointed because I wanted a blood test to confirm but she said due to the home tests being so good they don't require a blood test, so it's just a waiting game 😩 I want to book in for a private scan for before the midwife appointment though so I know something is definitely in there! 😂

pinkpig381 · 21/01/2019 13:35

@omghavingababy I've just read my reply back and didn't actually give much info 🙈 I was 4.5 weeks when I rang the doctors, and I rang back the reception and they pre-booked me in for my midwife appointment!
