Hello. I thought I'd start a thread for anyone that has had the good news that they are due October 2019. We can go through these looong early weeks together.

I'm 33, first pregnancy
Cycle 6
Currently cycle day 21/12 doo. First BFP at 10 dpo.

I am now testing daily to see if my BFPs are getting stronger. Also still checking temps. Anyone else feel like they have to tip toe around at this stage as everything seems so fragile?

@melissa1215 I have definitely noticed I am having to eat more often. As soon as I become hungry I feel really lightheaded & sick & all I want is carbs 🙈

coconutlatte44 · 21/02/2019 18:58

Hi @BLS1983!
Congratulations. My EDD is Oct 23 as well! There are a few of us on here.

Glitterandunicorns · 21/02/2019 19:03

I had my early scan today at eight weeks. It wasn't good news. The doctor said that what he could see was consistent with a six week pregnancy and I'm certain on my dates. The heart beat was flickering but he said that given the situation, it was either that the dates were out or that it was a pregnancy that was failing. I have to go back next week for another scan so he can check and then we take it from there. Given my certainty with the dates I'm devastated, particularly after a MC last year and issues with fertility.

I wish you all very healthy and happy pregnancies.

Hi everyone!

So glad I stumbled across this group!

I’m 28, and two days ago I got a BFP for my first! My estimated due date is the 24th October.

Looking forward to hearing about everyone else’s experiences! So far I’ve just had lots of strange feelings in my belly and a lot of feeling tired!

Good luck everyone!! Xx

CZFR · 21/02/2019 19:13

Aww @Glitterandunicorns I am so so so sorry. Sending you loads of hugs! Xxx

Rememberallball · 21/02/2019 19:15

So sorry to hear your news, @glitterandunicorns. Fingers crossed things seem more positive in a week’s time but I can understand your uncertainty. Take good care of yourself over the next few days, and be kind to yourself above all, in these situations we can’t do anything to influence outcome but sometimes these things can turn out ok xx

LauraPalmersBodybag · 21/02/2019 19:19

Hey @BLS1983 nice to see you here! 👋🏻

GinMama1 · 21/02/2019 19:23

So sorry @Glitterandunicorns

@melissa1215 yes I feel sick if I get hungry. I got this last time too. Constant snacking although I could only eat quite plain things.

We are sorting out some complex life stuff this weekend (we are meant to be moving abroad this year) and I wish we had some more certainty on this baby. Will just have to wait and hope though.

melissa1215 · 21/02/2019 19:27

@Lisalou88 glad I'm not alone hahaha!

CaramelCluster · 21/02/2019 19:50

So many expecting in October it's great! Congrats @BLS1983 I remember you from the 14th feb thread 👋🏽

I'm so sorry to hear that @Glitterandunicorns I am hoping it's dates mixed up and hopefully all going well, got my fingers crossed for you.

I been reading through recent comments and seems a quite a few have done the early scan. I been talking about this with my other half but he's 50/50 on the idea. Might give us a bit of reassurance being the first time round, and make sure everything is going ok in there. Seems the consensus on here is it's a good idea so may look into it for next week or the week after.

Frizzy1986 · 21/02/2019 19:58

I'm really sorry @glitterandunicorns. I don't know much about the dating side but i presume that a mm difference can be a massive change in how they date.
Hopefully there is still a chance and a heartbeat at the moment must mean that there is still a possibility.
Really hope that you get positive news but understand that the wait is going to be unbearable. Thinking of you lots xxx

Glitterandunicorns · 21/02/2019 20:16

Thank you all so much for your kind messages. I really appreciate it. Xx

Nextchapter19 · 21/02/2019 21:43

@Glitterandunicorns thinking of you and really hoping for the best. Xxx

Random2468 · 21/02/2019 22:20

@Glitterandunicorns I am heartbroken for you to hear this news and uncertainty. Brings back memories of going through similar. It's so unfair to go through this and when you went through troubles last year. Praying that next week brings more promising news. Thinking of you lots xxx

Secretlifeofme · 21/02/2019 22:36

@Glitterandunicorns so sorry. Thinking of you and hoping that you get some better news soon. As a PP said, the heartbeat has got to be a good sign. Flowers

angel0071987 · 22/02/2019 08:45

@Glitterandunicorns sorry to hear this. I was told that as they super small and wriggly it can be very hard to get accurate date measurements. It's could be you ovulated later than you thought and sperm can live for 5days so those together could put you out by week or so. Heartbeat something to hold onto in the meantime. Try and relax. Thinking of you Thanks

HarryPottersSecretSister · 22/02/2019 11:03

@Glitterandunicorns am absolutely heartbroken for you. Crossing everything that you get some positive news next week.
It's a tortuous situation to have to wait and see. It would be difficult enough to be told definitively that a MC has occurred but to have to wait to be told for definite is cruel. Again, I'm praying and hoping that you ovulated later than thought, that next week's appointment will be a happy one. Thinking of you x

PostiveThinkingRainbow · 22/02/2019 11:05

@glitterandunicorns sorry to hear about your uncertain scan, its such a emotional and fragile time!!! Sending you positive thoughts for a positive scan next week. xxx

HarryPottersSecretSister · 22/02/2019 11:05

@PostiveThinkingRainbow thanks so much for that, will have a proper read over a cuppa when I'm home later.

Bizarrely (well not bizarrely but you know what I mean), I've received a cervical smear appointment letter in the post this morning. Don't know if I can/ should have it whilst pregnant. Google is throwing up conflicting information. Will speak to my GP at my appointment Monday week and see what she thinks.

Hope you're doing ok and not overly concerned about if all x

HarryPottersSecretSister · 22/02/2019 11:09

Only 5 weeks today!
I've known for exactly 2 weeks now.
This is going to be (hopefully! 🤞🏻) one long ass pregnancy.
Week 12 feels like years away..

flowersaremyfave · 22/02/2019 11:51

@Glitterandunicorns so sorry to hear this, keeping my fingers crossed for you to get a better result next week 🤞🏼

@HarryPottersSecretSister that's the only problem with finding out so early 🙈

Ok so can someone help me because I've never tracked my periods or known my conception date before and I'm a bit lost.

First day of last period (I think) was 2nd jan, conception date is 13th jan.

On the pregnancy calculator it says I'm due 9th Oct if I go by the period date. Or 6th oct if I go by the conception date 🤔 I'm so confused how can it be 3 days out if I didn't dtd until 11 days later? Which date do I go by? I've got my booking in appointment today with the midwife and I don't know what I should say 🙈

SadieSue29 · 22/02/2019 12:01

Sorry to hear your news glitter.

What is everyone doing about exercise? I had just joined a gym before we found out we were expecting. Went to yoga today, advised the instructor I was pregnant and was turned away.

Any suggestions of classes that are suitable?

6 weeks today so thinking of calling and booking in first appointment with midwife or is it too early?
