Hello. I thought I'd start a thread for anyone that has had the good news that they are due October 2019. We can go through these looong early weeks together.

I'm 33, first pregnancy
Cycle 6
Currently cycle day 21/12 doo. First BFP at 10 dpo.

I am now testing daily to see if my BFPs are getting stronger. Also still checking temps. Anyone else feel like they have to tip toe around at this stage as everything seems so fragile?

@cowbrow Yes I am especially with our nearly 16 yr old who would be horrified if she had to share her room. Our other two girls share so the baby will have to be with us as there is no other room.

Nearly fell asleep this morning when working, I am do tired as stopped drinking tea. I usually have 6-7 cups a day!

Feel I need to be really on it with my health being 40!

IcyToes · 22/01/2019 14:13

@cowbrow I'm feeling a little guilty and anxious about what another baby will mean for James. We don't have any family locally so I know my attention will be divided. He is an independent sort though and we always wanted him to have a sibling as my brother and I are really close. DH is an only child and feels he missed out. Fx they live each other on sight and become best friends.

I've realised I do have one symptom, is anyone else's sense of smell going nuts? I could smell when DS needed his nappy changed from the other room and it was only pee! Lucky I don't have any nausea yet I guess 🤢

Hannah2808 · 22/01/2019 15:25

Hi everyone,

So I got my faint positive on Sunday at 8/9dpo (6 days before AF) Funny thing is I woke up and took a test and I was probably too sleepy to look at it properly so I went back to sleep. Woke up and for some odd reason checked again and saw a really faint positive. I thought that can’t be right, so I used the clear blue and almost immediately I got a positive, although it wasn’t as faint as the 1st one. Note that these tests were done hours apart. I almost passed out from shock. Today is 10/11dpo (4days before AF) and I’m going to check again. So nervous! Eek!

P.s. I would upload the pictures but I don’t know how Confused

GinaJabowski · 22/01/2019 18:43

Super anxious for my scan tomorrow! Have a very mild but noticeable pain in the left of my abdomen & it's quite low. Has anyone else had this in any previous pregnancy?

Ceallaigh · 22/01/2019 18:52

@Hannah2808 Congratulations! Welcome aboard!

@GinaJabowski good luck for your scan tomorrow, how many weeks are you? I think early on in pregnancy, and indeed all the way through, it’s normal to feel all sorts of aches, twinges, and tugging feelings. I think as long as it’s not a severe pain, it’s not anything to be worried about.

GinaJabowski · 22/01/2019 18:58

Thank you @Ceallaigh! I am approx 5 weeks but had mmc (with a lot of complications) last May hence the early scan & my panic at every twinge!

Ceallaigh · 22/01/2019 19:04

@GinaJabowski sorry to hear about your mmc, pregnancy after a loss is so much more worrying, I’m also pregnant after a loss and my anxiety is through the roof! I can’t believe how blasé I was about everything the first time! Although, as normal as it is to worry, the odds are that things will be fine this time, you’re more like to have a successful pregnancy then not, it’s just hard to remember that when something’s gone wrong in the past!

Womblove · 22/01/2019 19:12

@IcyToes - yes my smell is off the scale, it was the reason i tested

Pregnancy signs are making themselves known, smell, feeling so tired, little pains in my belly and cramps I had these with other pregnancies.

TERRIBLE WIND ;)

I ordered some quality pregnancy vitamins as read more about synthetic folic acid and better to have the food grown folate etc

Expensive at £30 but think i will do for first three months then move to a cheaper one.

I always prepared my body for pregnancy other times so this being a surprise, so out of shape after a knee injury and binging over xmas has left me prob not in the best state for birth so need to get fit and healthy.

More fit and healthy you are the better your body copes with it all.

@Hannah2808 congrats!!!

@GinaJabowski wishing you lots of luck

I am now 4 weeks pregnant as realised my due date was today not yesterday and the line was so dark too.

Not sure how long I can keep it in before telling people

How is everyone else?

Ceallaigh · 22/01/2019 19:22

@Womblove what vitamins have you bought?

Womblove · 22/01/2019 19:26

@Ceallaigh

www.wildnutrition.com/collections/pregnancy/products/pregnancy-support-pack

Vitamin alone is £30

Ceallaigh · 22/01/2019 19:31

@Womblove thanks! I’m going to order those, been looking for some better quality vitamins so they’ll be perfect, and there’s 3 months worth so at a tenner a month, that’s not bad!

Womblove · 22/01/2019 19:36

@Ceallaigh

Unfortunately you take three a day so its a 30 day supply.... but I figure even three months of the majority of growing will be great and then maybe a cheaper one such as Cyotoplan www.cytoplan.co.uk/pregna-plan?gclid=Cj0KCQiAm5viBRD4ARIsADGUT255Tx3Ykz6_1TE84ulbOZ6BztPdTt9tPlJIhm8N2kne7fpLIzI1yjcaAoxsEALw_wcB

The more expensive one was recommended by a nutritionist as an affordable one but expensive to me!

Peaky1 · 22/01/2019 19:39

Evening all!

Found some more October buddies!

Got my pos test this morning at just 10dpo so early days yet. Period due on Saturday.

I'm 39
Have 2 sons aged 6 and 3
2nd cycle so I'm pretty surprised and grateful!
My tummy is all over the place at the moment. I'm sure I shouldn't be feeling like this so soon.
I'm now eating my fave foods until I inevitably go off them with nausea!

Peaky1 · 22/01/2019 19:41

@Womblove I'm with you on the wind! Draughty around me at the mo!!!!! Perhaps that's why my tummy is feeling crazy

Ceallaigh · 22/01/2019 19:44

@Womblove ah I see! If they do their job though, it will be worth it!

Womblove · 22/01/2019 19:58

@Ceallaigh :)

@Peaky1 welcome and congrats, I am 40 and pregnant with our 4th - BIG SURPRISE! But so happy!

saarcs · 22/01/2019 20:38

Been trying since June 2017 and had a early mc in September 2017

Smile
Womblove · 22/01/2019 21:43

Welcome @Saarcs!

Congratulations and sorry to hear about your mc in September

x

Purplequalitystreet · 23/01/2019 08:25

Hi everyone
Can I join too please? Got my bfp at 12dpo last Thursday. I've held my breath for the last few days but AF is now 3 days overdue so hoping this little bean is going to stick around! I don't dare take another digital to check that it is progressing, so looks like it's just a waiting game. All the due date calculators are saying 26th-28th September, but all the ladies on that thread are much further on than me, so here I am.

Quick question, does the nhs date the pregnancy just by LMP, or do they adjust if you have longer cycles? I think I'm probably 2-3 days behind the calculators.

Fingers crossed we all have healthy pregnancies!

IcyToes · 23/01/2019 08:37

Congratulations to all the new folk!

@Purplequalitystreet there are quite a few of us due at the end of September here, so you are in good company!

How is everyone feeling today?

I woke up baking hot this morning but the house is just it's regular temperature. I have a really horrible kind of metal taste in my mouth. Also, so gassy Blush

I caved and took another test yesterday and although the lines never seem to get as dark as the control, it came up really quickly this time so I feel comforted by that. 5 weeks tomorrow by my count.

IcyToes · 23/01/2019 08:41

Purplequalitystreet it depends on your midwife I think. TBH though, they generally go by the dating from your scan at 12 weeks rather than the calculation. My date for DS moved back 4 days with him.

GinaJabowski · 23/01/2019 09:18

Morning all!

Congrats to everyone else who had joined us!
Haha @IcyToes I'm super gassy too... also seem to be going for number 2 a lot more often Blush

My scan is 10:35 this morning so not sure if this nausea is nerves or just genuine pregnancy symptom!

Peaky1 · 23/01/2019 10:38

Morning all!

Felt a bit sick this morning for the first time! Weird because I didn't start to feel rough with my other 2 until at least 6 weeks or so.

I've just called and booked in with the midwife. The earliest they could get me in was 23rd Feb when I'll be around 8 weeks anyway! Thought I'd give you guys the heads up in case it's busy in your areas too.

DustyShoes · 23/01/2019 12:27

Welcome and congratulations to everyone who has joined.

Good luck @GinaJabowski, I hope all went well today.

@Purplequalitystreet (great name), I have been using my ovualtuon date rather than LMP, as my cycles have been off this month (ovulated early at CD 11).

No extra symptoms for me yet. Still the odd little twinge. Cramping has mostly stopped. That "full feeling" I get before a period has gone, and I am praying that it's is a good sign. I'm feeling the odd wave if nausea when I'm hungry. But snacking sends it right away.

I'm still temping while I'm in these super early stages and testing daily. I'm 4 weeks today so I hope that after this weekend (18 dpo on sunday) I'll start to feel a little more reassured. I have never wished away a weekend like this before!!

Just in case anyone is as early as me, I called to make an appointment with the midwife today and they said to call back once I was 5 weeks and they will start the ball rolling then.

Hi everyone!

Scan went well... seen a gestational sac & yolk sac too! I cried like a baby! Measuring approx 5weeks and 2 days. Back in 3 weeks for another scan and all being well should be back to normal pregnancy appointments!
