Hello. I thought I'd start a thread for anyone that has had the good news that they are due October 2019. We can go through these looong early weeks together.

I'm 33, first pregnancy
Cycle 6
Currently cycle day 21/12 doo. First BFP at 10 dpo.

I am now testing daily to see if my BFPs are getting stronger. Also still checking temps. Anyone else feel like they have to tip toe around at this stage as everything seems so fragile?

@GinaJabowski congratulations! Sorry to hear about the MMC. good luck for Wednesday. I'm glad you're not having to wait too long. Let us know how it goes!

@pinkpig381 I think those private scans are a good idea. I don't think I could wait for 12 weeks. Each day is taking forever at the moment. I saw some offers for them on Groupon so they can be quite reasonable too

Thanks @CowBrow! The midwife is only at my surgery for a few hours every week so was lucky to get an apt this morning & even luckier to get a scan for Wednesday! I shall update after the scan! Fingers crossed for all of us 😁

TheChineseChicken · 21/01/2019 14:03

I'll join please! AF due tomorrow but had BFPs since Friday. 37, 2nd baby, trying for 6 months. Taken many tests Grin Feeling anxious about AF turning up tomorrow.

No real symptoms over than feeling lethargic and yawning but that's pretty normal TBH. Bit of a funny tummy too.

Will be due 1st October. Had one previous miscarriage at 9 weeks before successful pregnancy so that's always at the back of my mind.

omghavingababy · 21/01/2019 14:31

@CowBrow I am 4 weeks , have obviously told the husband but no one else just yet . Have you told anyone ? I'm still in shock!

omghavingababy · 21/01/2019 14:33

@pinkpig381 oh no yes that's very disappointing I feel like I would want a blood test to be sure too 😢 I will hold off ringing the doctors for a little bit then! Yes I know someone that went for a private scan at 7 weeks it was around £90. Very tempted to do the same will check groupon for offers xx

Ceallaigh · 21/01/2019 15:02

Hello all,

I’m tentatively joining - got a BFP last week and getting due dates of 30/09 - 1/10 depending on what app I use. We lost our little girl in our 2nd trimester a few months ago to a fatal fetal abnormality so I’m delighted to be pregnant again as we’re desperate for a child but my anxiety is through the roof already, I’m just terrified of something going wrong again - also still feeling guilty and sad about our loss so I’m a right mess of emotions at the moment! What symptoms are people getting, apart from some lower back ache and cramps which has eased off over the last day or two, I’m not really feeling anything yet, just tired.

Boadiccea · 21/01/2019 15:14

I've just recalculated and think I'm totally off by two weeks and in fact due September. I'm staying with you friendly lot for now though till it's confirmed either way!

summertimehere · 21/01/2019 18:16

Hey girls nervously joining, this will be my first, got bfp yesterday at 10dpo was at a wedding Saturday and I couldn’t stop crying 😭😭😭was a mess in the chapel and at the grooms speech and when got left out of a photo 😂😂😂😂 (I’m not sensitive normally) was drinking too cocktails and wine and just didn’t feel great so slipped off to bed at 12 ... then yesterday thought this is bit strange so tested and woohoo I’m in shock

I’m 41 had a mmc in July and then erpc, then a cp in August and had a hellish time since trying to find out what’s going on with me, discovered have factor 5 Leiden and 2 other blood clotting issues, had a hsg at end of December after much pushing to get it... had really bad pain after it but was happy as knew it was shifting something out

Will be a nervous time till I get past 12 weeks, will start injections thurs/fri for blood clotting on aspirin in mean time

DustyShoes · 21/01/2019 19:09

@omghavingababy when I took my first test at 10 dpo my husband was away and I was going a little crazy. My mum was over for a brew and she's a retired family planning nurse, so shes seen her fail share of tests. I couldn't help but ask her opinion on the (super faint) line. Other than her though we've told no one. I even regret telling my mum a little bit, if anything happens she will be gutted.

@summertimehere @Ceallaigh congratulations to you both. Sounds like you've both had a really difficult time, I hope that these are wonderful pregnancies for us all. Its going to be an agonising few days, weeks, months isn't it?

@Boadiccea glad to hear you're sticking with us Star

Womblove · 21/01/2019 20:47

@Ceallaigh really sorry to hear you lost your little girl last year, I am sure your feelings are very normal too so wanted to send hugs.

Congratulations on your BFP x

summertimehere · 21/01/2019 20:49

Thankyou @CowBrow yes it will be I have great hope and faith all will be okay

Womblove · 21/01/2019 20:50

wishing everyone a happy and healthy pregnancy x

Ceallaigh · 21/01/2019 20:59

@CowBrow thank you, hopefully we all have lovely, boring pregnancies! I’m doing daily yoga at the moment to try and keep my body relaxed, not sure it’s helping much but gotta try something!

@summertimehere sorry that you’ve been through such a tough time. Let’s hope that this time is a charm for us both! And everyone else too!

@Womblove thank you for your kind message, big congratulations to you too! Hopefully this will be a successful journey for us all.

DustyShoes · 21/01/2019 21:26

@Ceallaigh Yoga sounds like a fab idea. I crochet to relax. Keeps my hands busy and off my phone! It has really helped tonight but it's very sedentary. I have two baby blankets to make for friends due in March - it's even more fun to do now!

Hello, can I join here? In the same boat as @omghavingababy and die late September but so behind the September lot!

I'm not 100% on dates as my cyles have been weird since DS but between the 26 and 29 September I think. I've been testing a lot and have had to back slowly away f on the pack of cheapo test strips as I'm making myself crazy trying to figure out if the lines are darker.

This will be baby #2 DS is 16 months and this pregnancy has been a happy surprise. I've had one previous mmc at 9 weeks so I'm trying not to get too excited just yet.

I'm 37 and perpetually knackered running about after DS who currently has both chicken pox and a chest infection, wondering how I'll cope with two! (But still super hopeful and excited at the prospect of another)

@Ceallaigh I am so sorry to read about your loss.

Congratulations all on your pregnancies! xx

IcyToes · 21/01/2019 23:56

*due late September! 🤦🏻‍♀️

DustyShoes · 22/01/2019 06:26

@IcyToes I'm glad you corrected that typo Grin congratulations and welcome!

How far along are you at the moment? I'm testing daily and it has become a bit of an obsession. I got worried after testing using first morning pee, and it was lighter than the previous day's which was taken in the afternoon. I then read that first morning pee is a myth, I re-tested in the afternoon and voila! Dark line again. Now I am holding my pee for 4 hours each day so that i can test. And holding it is becoming harder and harder!! My husband thinks we should keep testing as it gives us reassurance, which is true.

My last couple of periods were off too. I was 3 days late last month (all tests BFN) and I am usually regular. This month I ovulated early to make up for it! Luckily I'm temping so I know when I ovulated and I've used this to calculate my due date.

OP posts:
omghavingababy · 22/01/2019 07:16

@IcyToes yay looks like we have the same due date then (keep me updated) excited to follow this thread and all of our journeys
I'm only judging my due date off my Ovia app (was using Ovia to track ovulation when TTC) but my cycle length has been longer than normal so I expect I will be given a late due date when go for scans etc

Still in disbelief though and so scared something is wrong , no symptoms and @CowBrow just like you a test every day so far !! However my other half went and bought a digital one yesterday with confirmed and said 1-2 weeks, so we've agreed to not take anymore now xx

Busyfool · 22/01/2019 07:31

Thought this discount code may help someone £35 down to £20 for today only.

DustyShoes · 22/01/2019 08:00

@omghavingababy we have a digital one to take. We have agreed to use it on Friday (16 dpo) as the last of our tests. I am just so happy to be pregnant, I wish that will alone could be enough to make sure everything is ok.

I was just driving and a motorcyclist pulled out of traffic and made me jump. Felt a big twinge - I'll be worried about that all day now!

OP posts:
IcyToes · 22/01/2019 09:14

@CowBrow I think I'm between 4 and 5 weeks along- super early and it's making me antsy. I think your husband is right, whatever gets you through these first few weeks, i tested every 2 days for weeks during DS pregnancy.

It's so useful to know when you ovulated, I think it's one of two dates 4 days apart. My cycle was 35 days last month but 43 the month before so who knows really.

I'm so sorry the ass on the bike gave you a fright, people can be so rude! If it makes you feel any better, I work in a customer facing role and a girl I was helping had a fit at my feet right after I found out I was pregnant with DS. After the ambulance came I burst into tears and was shaking so badly I had to take a couple of hours off. I was so worried it would stress the pregnancy, but all was fine. The midwife at the time told me we are built of sterner stuff and not to worry.

@omghavingababy I'm also using the ovia app which says the 26th but the NHS calculation says the 30th last I checked. I had a csection with DS and was told I'd need another if I got pregnant again so the reality is it'll probably be earlier rather than later but if all goes to plan I'd like to get as close to term as I can.

I have a digital test ready and waiting, been trying to hold off til next weekend when I think it should say 3+ my booking in with the midwife isn't til the 18th Feb, seems like an eternity away.

I've not really had any symptoms either, knackered ( but I have a toddler) and a little more emotional and a bit of cramping- but nothing definitive.

DustyShoes · 22/01/2019 10:40

Thank you @IcyToes that does make me feel better.

It must be so hard having a toddler and being exhausted. I bet all these other kids will be so excited to have a sibling. Is anyone concerned about the possible reaction of older children?

OP posts:
Ceallaigh · 22/01/2019 10:57

@cowbrow I bet crocheting helps to keep you calm and focused on something else, I knit and it definitely helps me when I’m feeling antsy! I’m sure the twinge is nothing to worry about, I’ve had a few of those.

@IcyToes thanks, and congratulations! We’re at a very similar stage, I’m 4w 3 today going by my app. I was also planning on doing a digi test next week to check that it says 3+, and then I’ll try to stop testing!
