Anyone due or over due who needs a thread to see them through the next couple of weeks?
I'm 39 weeks today, 3rd child.

No signs really, lots of pressure when I was walking round Tesco this morning but that's about it.

Due date 24th but I predict that I will go into labour on Boxing Day and he will come on 27th.

I'm 37+3 with dc3. Probably a bit early for me to join a birth thread as dc1 & 2 were both over a week late, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed this one will buck the trend!

No proper signs yet, achy hips and the odd period type cramp. Baby has been engaged for weeks already. I'm really ready for her arrival, bit over pregnancy now!

Bellesboy1218 · 17/12/2018 10:00

Hi I'm 40+3 today and literally have no signs of baby coming. First baby so have no idea what to expect either. Baby still seems to be sitting quite high.
Have hopes that he will arrive this week before xmas so we can enjoy him but have a sneaking feeling that won't be the case.
Xx

TruckLoadOfSubtleGlitter · 17/12/2018 10:02

My baby has been engaged as well, but when I went to see my obstetrician on Friday he had popped right out. He was 5/5 so at the brim.
She said he isn't coming any time soon, call me when you're 4 days over due ☹️
I thought I was being induced this week!

Bellesboy1218, do you have an induction date?

PocketFullofMumbles · 17/12/2018 10:13

38+3 today, due date 28th Dec - finding it hard to walk as it’s pressed so far down (only 1/5 still up on Friday, not that that appears to mean anything!)

My first was induced at 14 days overdue and I’m really keen to have this one as naturally as poss. I also want it to come early as I really don’t want the poor thing to have a Christmas birthday! That being said, I’m holding off bouncing on the ball too energetically, as I’m currently sitting in a new empty house awaiting movers and family to join me tomorrow - decided to move the whole family 250 miles away at 37 weeks pregnant Grin

AlletrixLeStrange · 17/12/2018 10:43

39+4 today due on Thursday and completely convinced this baby is never going to get out of me Sad

MunderDifflin · 17/12/2018 10:57

37+4 here...getting a bit miserable now because I'm basically stuck at home. Lungs are so squashed (regular sized baby but bump measuring 5 weeks behind) that I can't breathe properly when I walk so I'm very bored!

It's such a weird time to be due as well, can't really enjoy Christmas and not feeling at all festive Sad

GinGeum · 17/12/2018 11:08

I’m 37 weeks and desperately hoping for it to happen soon, although fear I may still have a long wait ahead. 3/5 engaged so far (as of last Monday so hopefully more now). Just want baby out now!

Bitchfromhell · 17/12/2018 11:09

37 weeks but with Polyhydramnios so hoping for early delivery (measuring 42). I have the worst piles Sad so am off to the gp in a sec to try and get something. Anyone have any tips?

Jobbieseverywhere · 17/12/2018 11:13

I'm 40 weeks today!! Had a failed sweep last week & no signs of anything happening today.

My son's birthday is 26th so I'm just desperately hoping to avoid 25th/26th for this wee one!

TruckLoadOfSubtleGlitter · 17/12/2018 11:34

bitchfromhell I just used anusol. Have you tried anything like that?
Piles are horrible.

Jobbieseverywhere do you have an induction date?

I really don't want this baby to come on the 24th because I have to stay in hospital for 48 hours afterwards due to a heart problem that he has, so I'd miss my kids Christmas!

Bitchfromhell · 17/12/2018 12:42

Hi, yes thank you, tried pretty much everything. Got some prescription steroid cream with anaesthetic now so hopefully that will help. Not sure about delivery now though, gp says to consider epidural and cs. Need to talk to obstetrician.

TruckLoadOfSubtleGlitter · 17/12/2018 12:47

The GP said consider a c-section because of piles??

OP posts:
Bitchfromhell · 17/12/2018 12:51

Ha! Not just piles! This has been a complicated pregnancy and size of baby is the main factor. Also the level of fluid, his head won't engage so we're at risk of cord prolapse. There have also been other infections.
I've pushed for a waterbirth all the way through but I think she just wants me to be realistic.

TruckLoadOfSubtleGlitter · 17/12/2018 13:28

Oh I see! I was thinking wow she must have really really bad piles if the GP suggested c-section! I know they can thrombose, I was wondering how bad your poor bum was!

Ok that makes more sense, when do you as your obstetrician?

OP posts:
Bitchfromhell · 17/12/2018 13:39

They are pretty bad Sad she did that sharp intake of breath thing that builders do!

We're in on Thursday for a scan, at one point we were looking at being induced on that day too but things had calmed down a bit by the last appointment so the obstetrician said she'd rather he stayed in until 39/40 weeks. Tbh I secretly wish that we had that induction booked now Blush

Pyxie · 17/12/2018 14:14

I'm 37+5 with number 2 and so ready to not be pregnant any more now! I've got an exam on Weds that I'd rather not miss but baby is welcome to come anytime after that! Hoping for a vbac but I have a c section booked for 40+8

Pinklily1 · 17/12/2018 14:42

Im 38+6, due on Christmas Day. Really hoping baby makes an appearance before that!

TruckLoadOfSubtleGlitter · 17/12/2018 15:14

Is this your first Pinklily1? If not, were your others on-time/late?

MadamePeony · 17/12/2018 15:25

38 + 3 with first baby. Been for a long walk, bounced on my ball and having a madras tonight!

TruckLoadOfSubtleGlitter · 17/12/2018 15:57

I think I can tentatively raise my hand and say that I've got 'signs' now.

I'm getting a distinct period pain when I'm walking around.

Shame I want to lay down constantly.

Santababyclaus · 17/12/2018 16:28

I'm due on weds, second dc. Fairly hopeful they will arrive by the weekend as baby is engaged and I'm having a lot of twinges. I have a midwife appointment on Thursday and can have a sweep if I want.

Athers666 · 17/12/2018 17:26

Hey everyone. I'm now 40 + 2 and sooo fed up. Can hardly walk and just so tired and agitated! Baby is showing no signs of getting ready to move yet.

problembottom · 17/12/2018 17:52

38+4 first baby. Was told baby 2/5 engaged at 37 weeks. Been getting bad stomach pains for a few days. Hope they arrive soon!

FoxgloveStar · 17/12/2018 18:29

40+4 with second baby. Had sweep at 39+6 and was engaged, 2cm dilated and “well effaced”. After sweep had some contractions and plug came out but nothing now for last 2 days.

I’m knackered and can’t walk much anymore due to pressure and sciatica in my thighs. My mental state peaked at the due date - I was prepped and all “let’s do this”. Now I’ve got a cold (worried about coughing fits in labour or after it stitched) and about going overdue enough to require induction.

My first baby was a very traumatic birth so it’s taking all my mental energy to stay in a positive state and it’s deteriorating over time.

:(
