Anyone due or over due who needs a thread to see them through the next couple of weeks?
I'm 39 weeks today, 3rd child.

No signs really, lots of pressure when I was walking round Tesco this morning but that's about it.

Due date 24th but I predict that I will go into labour on Boxing Day and he will come on 27th.

@MagicalCreatures it was really. I planned a home birth but had been in labour for a week at 3cm. Had already been thinking about my plan B and it was still calm and beautiful, even though not at home.

Dogmom · 27/12/2018 14:17

Sounds great @Wanttomakemincepies , really pleased for you. X

Dogmom · 27/12/2018 14:18

@PickettBowtruckles I feel you, my baby also loves lodging his/her foot under my ribs. My belly distorts like mad. I'm 40+6 today and had another sweep this morning. No real progress I'm only 1cm dilated. Gonna end up with induction on Wednesday I reckon.

Santababyclaus · 27/12/2018 16:39

Mine came on boxing day, but only just, they were very nearly an Xmas day baby. I had another sweep and that set the contractions off.

MunderDifflin · 27/12/2018 17:44

Congrats to all who've had their babies! I'm 39 weeks today, waters have been leaking for the last 6 hours and having irregular contractions. Have until 6pm tomorrow to get labour in full swing naturally or I'm being induced!

Pippaonesock · 27/12/2018 19:22

Exciting @MunderDifflin Hope all progresses well tonight for you!

Congratulations to everyone who had their christmas bundles! ❤️

Due date today for me. No signs of labour yet....impatient now!

PickettBowtruckles · 28/12/2018 05:35

@MagicalCreatures suffocated is definitely a good way to describe it, I was really uncomfortable for a while after and just wanted to shout at everyone to stop touching me! Thankfully DH was lovely had noticed and practically sat in front of me to avoid anymore pawing for a while!

Which I have to keep remembering how lovely he is as right now he’s woken me up at least every hour with horrendous snoring. I think he’s coming down with a cold as he’s not usually this bad but also being an overdue and frustrated pregnant woman is making me want to suffocate him... anyone else got a lower tolerance for stuff the more overdue they go? Grin

MagicalCreatures · 28/12/2018 08:13

Well it’s my due date today and I’m already feeling extremely frustrated and impatient. I’ve got a midwife appt and I’m really hoping she is going to offer me a sweep or something of the sort.
I can’t sleep, my back is constant agony, my bump is always rock hard and I can barely even get off the sofa. Not to mention my husband isn’t eligible for paternity leave and has been off for Christmas but is due to go back Wednesday so if I go much longer I’m not gonna have him home for any support. I’m gutted x

PickettBowtruckles · 31/12/2018 10:13

As much as I hate people asking me this - Any news @MagicalCreatures?

I’m 40+5 today and got a sweep booked for this afternoon. Not particularly looking forward to it (does anyone?) but seriously seriously fed up at still being pregnant! Fed up my silly body isn’t getting the memo, fed up everyone messaging me every 5 minutes, fed up I don’t have a baby to cuddle yet! 😂 Anyone else overdue find their tolerance level for people rapidly dropping also? I’m the grumpiest I’ve ever been!

Pippaonesock · 31/12/2018 10:15

How are you getting on @MagicalCreatures?

4 days overdue for me now. Not had any signs either!

What a shame about your partner not getting paternity leave! Hoping baby is here already for you!

Pippaonesock · 31/12/2018 10:16

I hear you @PickettBowtruckles! So many messages from people. So impatient now!!

TheOrangeOwl · 31/12/2018 10:18

Only just joining this thread but 37 weeks and being induced today!! Baby has had reduced movements and a few issues so is coming early. Just waiting at the hospital now.

Pippaonesock · 31/12/2018 10:21

Best of luck today @TheOrangeOwl ❤️

MunderDifflin · 31/12/2018 10:40

Arthur arrived on the 28th weighing 6lb 7. Less said about the birth the better, but we are both now OK and home and he's just lovely 💕

Anyone due? Over due? Any signs? Come hither!
MagicalCreatures · 31/12/2018 10:44

@PickettBowtruckles @Pippaonesock
Thankyou for asking. Sorry to hear your getting frustrated too.
Yes I’m totally fed up with the constant texts of ‘is he here yet?’ Don’t they think I would tell them if he was!!! 😡
Funnily enough I’m at the hospital now waiting for a sweep.
I went to my midwife appt Friday (due date) only to be sent to hospital because I have been really short of breath. Long story short - everything is fine thankfully, just too bloody uncomfortable so MAU have booked me for a sweep in a sec.
through I’m pretty sure I lost my mucus plug this morning!!!

MagicalCreatures · 31/12/2018 10:45

@TheOrangeOwl good luck!!!!
@MunderDifflin congratulations. What a cutie x x x

TheOrangeOwl · 31/12/2018 11:15

Thank you for the good wishes. On the monitor now. Awwwww, he's so cute and teeny!!

WhiteWashGails · 31/12/2018 11:46

37 weeks - too early to join you?
I found out at 12 weeks and I’m still bored even though I’ve missed 3 months off waiting 🤪

Pippaonesock · 01/01/2019 11:19

He's gorgeous @MunderDifflin Congrats!!

Pippaonesock · 01/01/2019 11:20

@WhiteWashGails 😂 Of course not. I've been like this since about 36 weeks! 40+5 now. Going to try and walk this baby out today if I can!

m4rdybum · 01/01/2019 11:59

Happy New Year everyone- can I join?

FTM - 38+4 today, predicted to have a big baby (9.9lbs) so have an induction date set for 41 weeks if DD doesn't make an appearance by then. Head is 3/5ths engaged, but I've been told this doesn't mean much in relation to whether labour is likely to start soon.

I've been trying to go for a walk every day and I'm on the raspberry leaf tea.

I have quite achy hips, with the occasional sharp pain and pressure down below, but nothing constant. I'm on high alert for my bloody show, but no sign yet. Just hoping I don't go through to induction.

FoxgloveStar · 01/01/2019 16:18

Congratulations to all the new mummies!

My baby girl arrived on the 23rd, 40+10. Spontaneous labour and easy and quick. Such a relief not to be pregnant anymore.

Good luck ladies

MagicalCreatures · 01/01/2019 16:50

@FoxgloveStar congratulations!!!! That actually gives me so much hope. Really want a spontaneous labour if possible.
Glad it all went well for you x x x x

Pippaonesock · 02/01/2019 20:56

Congratulations @FoxgloveStar! Your labour gives me hope!

littlebug19 · 03/01/2019 08:49

Hello everyone, I hope you're all doing well and looking forward to the arrival of your little ones!

Our little pudding couldn't wait any longer and Ezra James made his way into the world on the 29th December - 2 weeks early 😍

He is simply the dream and we are really enjoying settling into new family life.

Good luck to you all with everything xx
