Anyone due? Over due? Any signs? Come hither!

Anyone due or over due who needs a thread to see them through the next couple of weeks?
I'm 39 weeks today, 3rd child.

No signs really, lots of pressure when I was walking round Tesco this morning but that's about it.

Due date 24th but I predict that I will go into labour on Boxing Day and he will come on 27th.

@FoxgloveStar yes me! Really hope baby is either here by Sunday otherwise it needs to wait until Thursday. Childcare over Xmas eve-boxing day will be difficult and I don't want to miss dd opening her Xmas presents as it's the first year she properly understands.

Same here. We have a DS who is 2.5yrs old and if baby arrives on Chrismtas we are just going to do Chrismtas Day on another day altogether I think. I’m not missing out!!

@Lynsey19 I'm sorry to hear you have been admitted That's bad luck this time of year. At least you know you are in the right place though, and having a date for baby's arrival must be lovely.
Hope the hospital is nice and they are all being nice to you x

Is anyone else getting the 'any news' messages? It's only 11am, and I'm only 2 days overdue, and so far my mil has called and dm, 2 x Sil and a friend have text asking if I'm having any twinges. I know it's nice that they care but I'm actually going to end up being really rude if they keep asking. What exactly are they expecting me to respond with? Especially mil as we need her for childcare so she knows She'll be the first to know

I have been having them for nearly two weeks. I want to reply with something really rude.

I wouldn't mind so much if it's 'how are doing today?' texts, at least that's caring. Instead it's very specifically 'any twinges?' 'any news?' 'have you had the baby?' - I've given birth before, I told people when I was in hospital and I told them when dd was born. I'm going to be seriously pissed off if I have another 12ish days of this and will end up on the Xmas naughty list(!)

Hi everyone. I'm due today 21st. Reading through these messages I sympathise a lot. Had a lot of messages today. I've asked my family and friends not to daily text me. I know they mean well, but it makes me feel sad at my lack of baby. X

We didn't even get to 8am before mil text 🙄

I had a lot of twinges last night but otherwise no movement for me.

Had bleeding with clots between 2pm and 3:30pm, apparently it was my waters breaking! Am now in overnight, to be induced tomorrow if I don't start contracting. Merry Christmas!

I’m convinced I’m going into labour tonight/early hours and I’ll be giving birth Christmas morning.
Getting bad period cramps all evening too. X

@MagicalCreatures sorry I didn’t get an email like I usually do when I comment on a thread! I’m good, pregnancy has been overall pretty good thankfully, how are you?!

I’m equally convinced I’ll be going into labour tonight! Midwife today said baby is fully engaged and she seemed confident it wouldn’t be long.

@PickettBowtruckles Yeh same here. Good pregancy. Been very lucky. Apart from abit of hip pain from sleeping on my side and a few other minor complaints I’ve been really well.
I’m so over being pregnant now though. It feels like a very long time 😂 just wanna meet my little boy now.
I’m desperate for him to not have a Xmas day birthday. But like you, Baby is very low, I’ve got lots of pressure and I’m just convincing myself it’s gonna happen. Fingers crossed our bubbas hold out for a few more days x

No baby for me today it seems . I actually wouldn't mind. Have cooked the dinner; opened presents and now rotating on my ball feeling sorry for myself. Husband wants to do the 'family rounds' tomorrow but I don't feel like it and getting all the annoying 'Awww you must be so fed up, baby will be here soon' comments xx

@Dogmom I seem to be holding on too. Nothings happening today so far. Had loads of period type cramps in the night but I just wanted to get through the day without going into labour. I’ve not had a Christmas Day with my family in 4 years so I really didn’t wanna spend it in hospital.
Will be back on the ball tonight though 😂
I know what you mean about everyone’s comments though. I’m getting fed up now. And whereas I’ve never been bothered by everyone rubbing my belly, now I hate it. It’s so hard and painful and tight, I’m just like ‘get off me’ x

I had contractions last night but they stopped. I'm refusing to visit family over the next few days because I'll just get grief about being overdue and how I shouldn't be induced. I don't think any of that is helpful so I'm staying at home. DP can go on his own with dd.

@Santababyclaus I really am dreading the comments. Don't know if I will get away with just sending the husband. Seeing mother in law twice in one week is definitely over kill

Baby due tomorrow, I have a midwife appt and think she said she’d be booking me in for an induction in ten days time. A week ago was told baby’s head is fully engaged and my bump is nice and low.

Would love a little sign of things kicking off! Anything.

I had my baby 15 days overdue on Christmas morning at 00.09. We were home by 4 AM.

Massive congratulations @Wanttomakemincepies ! What did you have?

I had a boy. Had been in labour for a week with no real progress so opted to have membranes ruptured and he was born 2 hours later. Home in bed 4 hours after he was born.

Officially overdue today. Still no signs of anything. Had far too many people touching me yesterday as baby is very energetic still, you can see my tummy distorting under my clothes and it’s pretty hard to hide it on my face when she’s using my ribs as a launch pad, but it means all the family then want their turn to ‘have a feel’. Having a day at home alone today now DH is back at work so going to watch crap tv, eat lots of chocolate and hope today is the day. Hope you’re all holding out well still too and we have some lovely baby news soon :)

@Wanttomakemincepies congratulations. Wow I can’t belive that. It must have been quite a straight forward birth to let you out 4 hours later. I’ve never known anything like it. Must have been abit of a crazy Christmas Day for you and very surreal.
@PickettBowtruckles that’s what I was like at my mums Christmas Day. Everyone just wanted to get one last feel of my bump in before he arrives. But it really started to make me feel suffocated x
