Morning all

MrsMcJnr - I have had green CM as has becklespeckle. Had it last time too with DS. am not concerned as not smelly etc

Feedmeknow - was unbelievably spotty with DS1. Have been entirely clear skinned with this pregnancy (now 15+3). I think it depends on the mix of hormones

Having said all this, I am still hysterical as NO REAL BUMP just slightly fatter tummy. Where is this baby????

MrsMcJnr · 13/08/2007 11:41

Feedmenow welcome back was the camping fun? Sorry to hear that you are getting anxious. I hope all is fine. My skin goes from being crap to great and back again, I think it?s the weather combined with the fact that I haven?t had a facial for months now! Everything crossed for Thurs x Thanks for your answer to my question

Ellieg it won?t fall out hon, it?s nuzzling in for the long haul

Thanks VV hope that belly pops out soon too stop you worrying

Haylstones · 13/08/2007 11:44

Hello all. FWIW I often get spots (thought I lett all that behind with my teens [hmm} but am now getting lots more- same happened when I was expecting dd.
I'm now 12 weeks and am shocked and amazed at the same time. It stil hasn't wuite sunk in and I don't like talking about it in rl for some reason. DD is so excited and happy (she's only 3) and I so hope everything goes OK. I heard her talking to FIl on the phone last night and she said 'mummy's got a baby in her tummy, I keep talking to him (?!) so that when he comes out he knows my voice and I'm going to put him to bed and sing lullabies'. I welled up so much when I heard her, even dh looked a bit soppy . It's strange to think of your little girl being the older one and having to share everything when she'll have had 4 years on her own with us but I think she'll be OK. I am musing about how strange it will be for me not to have all this time to spend with her and do spontaneous fun things all the time. She starts pre school in January then reception in Sep (I'm due Feb)so I hope it doesn't all cause too much upheaval for her.
Another strange worry I have is that this baby will be compared to her all the time. dd really is such a lovely child, so placid, bright and caring that I worry baby will always be comapared to when/ how she did things. I want them both to be individuals iykwim.
Rambling over, congratulations if anybody managed to read it all, just thinking aloud as dh gets sick of hearing it (general answer to ANY question is 'don't worry,. it'll be fine )

hiya, just got back from camping in oxford and my computers not working. feeling a bit sick etc but otherwise not much to report. hope everyones well and ill be back more often once my internet is fixed

Feedmenow · 13/08/2007 13:13

Hi Uki, hope you feel lots better soon. Perhaps we could all synchronise watches and perform a baby-dance (in manner of rain dance) on your behalf?

And thank you all for reassuring messages about spots. I think the reality is that I am just looking for excuses to make myself expect the worst so that I can't be too disappointed if the scan shows bad news, IYSWIM.

Mrsmc, camping was fab! We were really lucky that the weather was great. Don't know that I would have been so ecstatic if it had rained the whole time though! It was so nice that the children got to be outdoors for the whole time, and got a chance to be proper children, you know, climbing trees, making dens, jumping in mud and stuff. Good fun indeed!

EllieG · 13/08/2007 13:29

Having crampy pains is OK isn't it? They're not on one side or another, or very painful, just like mild period pain really

WinkyGirl · 13/08/2007 14:16

Just had my viability scan (am 8.5 weeks) and am relieved! Saw the beanie and it's heart was beating. It is measuring bang on for dates. Yea!!

EllieG - I have been having all manner of aches and pains. I remember someone saying you can get period type pains because your uterus is stretching etc.

Yep, my skin is spotty. Well to be precise I have a beard of spots which is never attractive...

EllieG · 13/08/2007 14:18

That's lovely news winkygirl x

EllieG · 13/08/2007 14:19

About the scan that is, not the spot beard.

Haylstones · 13/08/2007 14:47

Ellieg, thos pains are normal and many pg women get them. I think it's jsut everything stretching (can also be slight constipation, this has similar symptoms sorry if TMI)However, if it gets really bad or goes to one side with/without bleeding I'd get it checked out. You know your body best and if you think it's just stretching then that's probably what it is
Def have to start another thread, this one is taking sooo long to load up!

MrsMcJnr · 13/08/2007 15:30

Hi Haylstones not surprised you welled up hearing DD say that, I was in floods watching the home birth on Birth Day Girls the other day when the older sister (about 8) said ?oh Mummy, she?s the most beautiful thing I?ve ever seen? hello baby, I?m your big sister? wwwwwwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh! And I don?t even know them DD will love having a sibling I?m the eldest of 3 and I love it. My Mum cried a lot during her pregnancy with my sis because she was worried that she could never love another child as much as she loved me but apparently I ?turned into a monster? when she was born and my Mum didn?t find it hard at all I was about to hit 2!! We do need a new thread

Hey Uki ? hang on it there hon, hope you get some rest and that it all happens for you soon.

Spugs good to see you safe and sound

Feedmenow ? it doesn?t work hon trying to protect yourself against worse case scenario and it just makes you feel worse, so try to think happy thoughts and your baby will catch those too. Sounds like you had great fun camping, I?d love to be doing the things your kids did

EllieG there?s a lot going on in there hon, it?ll probably be the uterus stretching as Winky said and your baby getting comfy

Fabby news Winky so pleased for you and your bean

Feedmenow · 13/08/2007 16:38

Winky, imaging your spot-beard gives me a bit of a giggle Thank you!

If it is any sort of pay-back, I seem to be sprouting more nasal hair these days than I was previously used to!!

oinker · 13/08/2007 17:39

I just wanted to say thankyou to all of you for taking the time to answer my questions. APRROACHING WEEK 5 (TUESDAY) am off on hols in the morning and won't be on line until my return.

I WILL be back on this thread... This time it's going to work. It has to.

))))))))))))))))HUGS((((((((((((((((((

MerlinsBeard · 13/08/2007 20:03

quick Q...(sorry another) implantation is a good sign isn't it? read it in a mag and it reassured me for all of oooh 5 mins! had it the week before i tested..was a 1 day period and paranoid that my tampon may have caused damage!

Bouncingturtle · 13/08/2007 20:41

Oinker - enjoy your hols and see you soon
Winky - IKWYM re: beard of spots... I'm still a bit spotty now!
Mom - not sure what to say, 30% of women experience a bleed and still go onto having a healthy pg. I wouldn't have a tampon would do any damage, I would speak to a midwife and get her thoughts too!
UKI - sorry you are feeling low, hope things improve for you xx
MrsMc - hi!!
Hi to everyone else too!!

EllieG · 14/08/2007 08:36

I didn't realise bad wind was a pg symptom! That explains a lot - I thought I'd just been eating the wrong things
Cramps have gone today but still sooooo tired. Nearly fell asleep in the middle of a case conference yesterday - had to poke myself in the arm to stop my eyes shutting! Going to bed at 9 most nights this week and still yawning....and can't face the gym so am going to turn into a complete blob. Am defo going to try a bit harder though, cos last time I was so tired I didn't go to the gym and then lost baby and was left with chubbiness, which I thought was most unfair. Ain't going to happen this time though (unless I actually end up with a baby too of course).

Uki · 14/08/2007 11:33

Hi all

Gosh I feel like I've been a bundle of misery on here lately. Thanks for your sympathies.

I'll try and be a bit more positive and tell you all it's just fantastic to be at nearly 40 weeks, well it will be soon BTW the spots seem to return a little around now, BUT I feel so big and swollen they don't seem to matter much.

The good news is my other aliments have finally gone. so i'm now in good health for labour.

What's happening with everyone else today???

Shall we start new thread today? Grand Dame would most like to have a fresh start with a scrummy newborn in it. [wink}

Hello ladies

Feedmenow PMSL at your nasal hair, I have noticed that the hair on my legs grows much faster than before what a pain!

Oinker you are very welcome have a wonderful time

MOM ? implantation has to happen hon for things to work out but there isn?t always a bleed, depends on the person and pregnancy I think. Shouldn?t think you would have caused any damage

Hello Bouncingturtle howz work?

EllieG ? yup! It?s been a bit windy round our house too the early tiredness is a killer, just give into it if you can, your body is working very hard I didn?t bother doing much exercise other than walking, I was frankly too tired. I was left with an extra ½ stone after my MC too but I lost it early on in this pg, I guess your body balances itself out, don?t push it too hard.

Uki ? hey there glad you are ok Asked my consultant this morning about the link between high blood pressure and calcium. She said that Clexane wouldn?t be responsible for depleting it but it was worth checking my blood to see what my levels are so thank you for that tip

WOW! Mega post Firsty and so lovely to hear from you! so glad to hear that things are going well for you both, love the idea of play time in the mornings Bet DH will miss being at home with you both!
