Thanks mumofmonsters, I don't think it ever goes away no matter how far along I get, I still have some sort of panic every day and worry!! Symptoms dying down is the worst too... Hope all goes well for you!

jules, yes we're having a girl and have decided on either 'Cerys' or 'Amethyst'. DH is really keen on Cerys so we might use Amethyst as one of the middle names resulting in 'Cerys, Amethyst, Grace, Emmeline' which is loads but we'll just be so happy to have her here tbh! Same here with me - no matter how much pain I have, I still appreciate being pg every day and remember how tough it was at the beginning - I just keep telling myself it'll all be worth it in the end!

(((Hugs))) xx

Bouncingturtle · 11/08/2007 09:07

I'm very excited, for the first time DH felt baby kick! Turtle was very active last night, I was in bed reading, and DH was downstairs so i called him up and he spooned up behind me and put his hand on my lower abdomen, i felt a big kick and he felt it too

Uki · 11/08/2007 10:42

Hi

Still here, feeling good today after lovely long nap, and more ready for baby now.

PLP- Love the names, you have plenty of them
I don't really remember the anniversary dates of my 1st 2 m/c's either. Although i have planted 2 apricot trees that are hopefully going to be covered in fruit this year, now we have water.

Bouncing- on dh feeling bub, cute when dp's are excited, mine 2nd time round still finds it a bit creepy, likes holding them more when out though

Jules- ripper post, are you in competeition with anyone
I remember having the same fears about what to do with baby, i mean ante- natal clases and the birth are one thing, but what's next. Thankfully it does all come very naturally and there is always mn, and some great books 'baby love' is a good one as well as 'baby's first year' better to read these than have all the old relies trying to give you advice.

MOM- are you sure you have no symptoms???

VV- Appointment not too long away, is that ante- natal appointment?

etj- hugs hun, what alot going on at once, hope doula gets sorted out.

mrs mc- i take my vits and all before bed. most nights is same time used to take in morning but i have coffee and don't think that is good to take with vit's

Yay! for your baby's heartbeat Siameez! Glad all is well
PLP, sorry to hear you are in so much pain with your SPD - another reason to look forward to the birth of your LO. I don't think you do ever get over a m/c completely, it is always there as part of your history. It has been nearly 8 years since I lost my first and although I don't mark the occasion, he is always in my thoughts around the time he was due and I'm sure it will be the same with the one I lost last year too. Cerys is a lovely name BTW, it is one I would use but for the fact a close friend already has! Love the other names too!
MOM, is a terrible worry when symptoms disappear but mine did truly fluctuate a lot in those early days, hope for some more sickness for you soon (in a nice way)! If that niggly pain is worrying you still you should see your MW although you do get lots of niggles and twinges as everything stretches and relaxes.
Jules, nearly 10 weeks already! Time does seem to be flying by at the moment. Hope you had a lovely meal out! I am very exited at the thought of a girl and also a bit nervous after 2 boys! Will be very different but am not going to splurge on anything pink until baby is here as could still be a boy!
Bouncing, lovely that DH felt baby! I think it helps make it more real for them. Mine hasn't yet as everytime he puts his hand on my bump, baby stops moving! DSs felt it though and thought it was great. DS2 keeps coming and putting his hand on my tum and asking if baby is awake!
Hi Uki, hows it going? Not long now, last few days always seem to drag I think!

becklespeckle · 11/08/2007 12:17

I notice we have nearly filled another thread too - time to move soon??? Any ideas for a new name?

PurpleLostPrincess · 11/08/2007 12:54

How about - 'various ways of getting from one day to the next...'?

turtle - so pleased that dp felt lo moving around, that really is a milestone!! My dh is the same as Uki's, he is more interested in cuddling her when she has arrived - can't wait to see what they're like together!! DS however, (now 13) is a totally different story, he is always talking to my tummy and feeling her move! All I get from DD1 is 'is she awake mummy?'!.

MerlinsBeard · 11/08/2007 19:28

jules i haven't sorted a scan yet. ironically i can't until i have booked in with midwife if its just for reassurance. I don't want to jinx things by ringing up and having a pretend bleed.
aying for a scan is out of the question, £65 is a lot of money for us and we are up financial shit creek at the moment so we need every single penny

uki all i have is tiredness which i realistically could have on any given day with a 4 and 2 yo to chase after! I also have a bit more cm (TMI sorry) which terrifies me and i avoid going to the loo until the last minute because i am scared what i wil see.

DOn't get me wrong i am pleased that i can eat and drink now but even my nausea has gone.

Am clinging to the fact that i have no bleeding for now.

I;m so sorry for being selfish and not following everyone's situations. I am trying but there are so many of you and i can;t past my own fears for now. SOrry x

MerlinsBeard · 11/08/2007 20:24

has Spugs gone away? She's not posted since 2nd August. not that i am stalking her just wonderng how she is. Due same time as me ish AFAIR

MrsMcJnr · 11/08/2007 21:13

Hang in there VictorVictoria 22/8 will be here before you know it.

Glad you got some reassurance from VV Beckle

Fabulous news Siameez ? delighted for you hon and hope you feel much better soon

PLP ? so sorry about the SPD, sounds like agony. I think it is good that the date passed you by without any pain setting in, I guess it means that time does heal, don?t feel that it belittles your experience or that lost angel it?s just that this new LO has been sent to make things better I like to think that my lost angel keeps guard over the one growing inside me lovely names

MOM ? sorry to hear that you are finding things tough, I hope you feel much better today you are not being selfish, you need us at the mo and we are here for you we all go in stages of needing the support, many of us are just chatting at the mo. Not heard from Spugs but I think a lot of people are on holiday at the mo.

Jules it is weird that there are two HBs in one body, I think about that too! Thanks, cold is horrid but hopefully it?ll go soon great idea about Lulamama she?d be fab I got an email from a local doula and we are going to meet soon can?t wait! 20th great grandchild?! That?s good going!! My Grandparents have 3 and this one will make 4, I thought that was good going! DH and I had a lovely night out last night too hope you feel better soon.

Bouncing ? how exciting!! that kick must have made it all so real for DH! I can?t wait for mine to feel his first kick.

Uki ? glad to hear you are feeling good hon

siameez · 11/08/2007 22:49

Hi MOM,
Know exactly what you mean about not following everyone else. I always feel guilty about that but at the end of the day you are on this thread because YOU need support and it sounds as though this is one of those times where you need to think about you.

Don't know if it helps but my sickness with my first pregnancy only lasted for a couple of weeks and it was a totally event free and successful pregnancy. I was 19 so didn't have a concern in the world! (those were the days). And with my mmc this year my sickness and other symptoms lasted even after we knew we'd lost it so I can only assume you can't trust symptoms. This time I've also got more CM which was my only symptom till last week (didn't think it counted at the time I was so stressed about it all but it's a definite sign).

So sorry the scanning situation is so harsh Hope you feel better soon.

MerlinsBeard · 12/08/2007 13:32

My sickness is back!!!

I know symptoms are not particularly reliable but for my mmc i had NONE so makes me feel a little better. I know there is no way of knowing untili have a scan either.....i need a fast forward button!

EllieG · 12/08/2007 18:55

Hello all - some of you probably know me from the ttc after MC threads - I had a BFP yesterday and I'm scared stiff! Can I join in here please? (But very quietly as I'm worried will tempt fate if join a PG thread)
Thought I would be really happy but I'm mostly just terrified - and missing my lost one just as much. I thought this would get better after I got PG? Am I being stupid?

ladylush · 12/08/2007 19:02

Ellie, my m/cs only really hit me when I was pregnant again - perfectly normal reaction I think.

EllieG · 13/08/2007 08:19

OK, I will stop feeling silly then, thank you

rubles · 13/08/2007 09:10

I have just come back from a very hot holiday in Spain (am 32 weeks so reallly felt it) and have had a skim through to see if there have been any births from Firststar and UKI.

A belated but big congratulations to Firststar on your massive little boy. I hope he is well and you are coping with the early days of breastfeeding & new baby-dom.

Hope all is well with you UKI and the diarreoah (sp?) is nothing to worry about - just natural clearing out or just one of those things for you.

OINKER I am over the moon to see you here, like others I remember you from the end of last year when you were doing so well with the weight loss etc. I remember they were mentioning an operation - they do the operation on you in the end? You may not read this as you are off on holiday but I just want to get it written down as I too have thought about you and wondered how you were getting on.

Fettle - I thought of you too on hols. Hope there is no sign of the OC this time. How are you doing? When's the house move? You always seem to be moving.

On the subject of braxton hicks, I find that a bumpy road can bring them on, but for me they are not painful just uncomfortable. In Spain we were in a really isolated spot in some mountains about 20 minutes down a Very Bumpy road (think rubble, not just a few pot holes), and every time we drove up or down it the baby went mad and my uterus started contracting. It was very uncomfortable, but I was always hoping it would help turn the baby out of breech position.

I have only mentioned a couple of people here, because you know what it's like with getting enough time etc to properly read/post, but to all those not mentioned by name - I hope all is well and you all have a lovely Monday.

ejt1764 · 13/08/2007 09:15

Morning all ...

Congratulations Ellie on your bfp - and no, you are not being at all silly ... I know I was scared stiff for the first 14 weeks or so afterwards - keep on letting us know how you're feeling, and we'll talk you down if necessary!

Absolutely no chance of getting up to date with your comings and goings over the weekend - my weekend at my parents' house was fab - dad took ds to a vintage steam rally on Saturday, then took him fishing on Sunday - I basically lounged around and made another cardi for lo!

Came home last night, and dh was absolutely exhausted - his parents had come to help him decorate our room and the baby's room - but his mother wasn't feeling well, so she flaked out on our sofa all day ... he spent more time running around after her on Saturday than being able to do anything - he would have got more done if they hadn't come at all!

However, that said, he has managed to do all the painting, and both rooms look lovely ...

We have a busy day today - ds and I are going round to see one of his friends from school: his mum is in my Welsh class (and my antenatal yoga class too!) - and she is expecting a baby at Christmas (also a little girl!) The kids can play, and we can chat and eat cake - I made some blackberry muffins (fresh blackberries from the garden - crazy lady who lives behind us leaves the end of her garden untamed, and they grow over our shed - yum!)
Then I have a mw appointment at 12 - I must remember to take my sample - I always seem to forget!
Then I have a dentist appointment at 2.40 ...

DS is coming with me to all of them - I hope the mw will listen in to the baby's heart so that ds can hear it too!

Right, must go and get dressed!

Have a good day all ...

EllieG · 13/08/2007 10:03

ejt1764 - You have a lovely sounding life! I want to eat blackberries and go to a steam fair now.

MrsMcJnr · 13/08/2007 11:07

Hello ladies I?m still snuffling but not as badly as I was on Friday DH has agreed to having a Doula for the birth we are going to meet her sometime soon felt some bubble popping over the weekend and some squirmies

Hello Siameez and Ladylush

MOM ? glad the MS is back (sounds odd ) see, it comes and goes

EllieG how lovely to see you here hon congratulations on your fab news (said softly cos I know it?s scary) we have all been exactly where you are now and are here to help you through so rant, worry and fret all you like and we?ll support you It?s a horrible irony isn?t it, a new pg doesn?t take the pain of the loss away at all, it just adds to your fear. You will feel better when you get further in how far along are you?

Rubles welcome back did you have a lovely relaxing time in spite of the heat? We are off to Spain on 28/9 for some heat

Ejt ? how exciting getting the nursery ready those muffins sound FAB bust day indeed

Can I ask a yucky question had some green CM on Sat ? was freaking out but then rationalised that I have a bad cold, had had relations with DH and had no signs (or smells) of any infection. It hasn?t happened again. Is it safe to leave it or should I get checked out? I don?t have a MW appointment until 22/8. Thanks

Feedmenow · 13/08/2007 11:10

Hello everyone. Been away for the last week as we went camping

Ellie, congrats to you. I know what you mean about not wanting to jinx things....I still havn't added myself to the stats list on this thread "just in case"!. Stupid, cos I know it wouldn't really make the blindest bit of difference!

So much been happening around here! Who was it mentioned getting lulumama as their doula??? I would LOVE lulumama as my doula, but there is the small matter of geography in the way (I live near London!)

I am feeling a little bit negative today. I have a private scan booked for Thursday which would make me 8+6. (My missed mc was found at 11 weeks but baby stopped growing at 8+2) However, my concern is that I am getting spotty. My skin has been really clear up til now, as it was last time until a week or two after the baby died. So me getting spots now makes me feel somewhat anxious. I know all I can do is wait until Thursday, but am left feeling rather lost in the meantime.....

EllieG · 13/08/2007 11:10

I think I am 4+2, so very early days. It might fall out and then I would feel very silly. So am telling NO ONE but MNers as you all understand and people in RL tend not to so much.

Feedmenow · 13/08/2007 11:12

Mrsmc, just saw your post. Someone else on MN was talking about greeny mucus recently. I think that they were happily reassured that it was absolutely fine, so try not to worry about it. Doesn't sound like infection if there is no smell/discomfort.

MerlinsBeard · 13/08/2007 11:13

feedmenow spots could be hormonal. I am generally spotty at points in my cycle but the spots i have got this time are different iyswim.

ellieG Congratulations I haven't told anyone in RL yet either nor added myself to the list.
