Hello

I've self referred on the NHS website and am awaiting my booking in appointment 🙂

Hi, that’s me! First baby due Nov/Dec. A bit of a surprise as I am 40, stopped using contraception in January and expected to be doing ivf by the end of the year. Instead, I am doing my happy dance!

GreenGooner · 22/03/2018 20:51

Can I join?

32, married for 2 years. First pregnancy, according to my app I'm due 30/11.

I'm terrified 😱 I don't feel pregnant but the 12 sticks I've peed on tell me otherwise 😂

EJWx · 22/03/2018 21:19

I'm 26, married for 9months 😱, though we've been together 8 years!
The one time we drunkenly did the deed and bam... I'm now 4 weeks pregnant 🙈
We had planned to start trying in May so hopefully things are happening earlier than planned xx

EJWx · 22/03/2018 21:20

@EL332
My midwife called yesterday, I have my booking appointment the middle of April xx

EL332 · 22/03/2018 21:25

@AppleCocoon @GreenGooner @EJWx yay! Congratulations one and all!

🙂

Do you have any symptoms at the moment?

I'm having pulling/cramping that's quite mild but quite regular

I'm waking up very early, and am wide awake

I'm thirstier and so drinking more water and having to nip to the loo more often

My sense of smell is ridiculous I can pinpoint every smell

By the end of the day I am exhausted and in bed by 8:30.

How about you guys?

Im so happy for you! I was convinced I would struggle to conceive and had told my husband I was sure it would take longer than a year and then a few weeks later I had my BFP!

@GreenGooner I have done so many tests and am just as excited each time I see the result 😂

Was there a reason you were waiting until May? Maybe the way you did it means neither of you were stressed or anxious about 'trying' Smile

Symptoms? Yes. Pulling and cramping and very slight nausea. I can’t seem to concentrate on anything and want to nap a lot.

I started feeling different/pregnant about a week before my period was due so was ready to test the very first day I was late.

Did anyone else ‘feel’ it before confirming?

And Crongratulations everyone!

EL332 · 22/03/2018 21:38

@AppleCocoon you sound just like me

I was quietly confident that I must be pregnant as I just felt 'different' but sort of didn't even let myself acknowledge that even thought I felt like I knew ❤️

GreenGooner · 22/03/2018 21:47

Congratulations everyone 😊

I've had cramping and an increased thirst but that's about it for me. I had cramps last week and thought it may be implantation so rested on Sunday.

I feel a bit anxious about it all tbh. Not booked myself into any appointments yet as thought it may be too o early but will call them tomorrow.

EL332 · 22/03/2018 21:53

@GreenGooner I looked into it and there is an online self referral you can do on nhs website then the midwife will call to book an appointment - I did mine yesterday and don't know how long I'll have to wait, but am quite excited to have that first appointment and feel like it's all real ❤️

Found out that I'm pregnant with second baby yesterday, checked the dates and should be due around 25th November! Trying to keep it secret from husband until Saturday as it's his birthday. Hope he'll be happy with his extra birthday surprise

GreenGooner · 22/03/2018 22:17

@EL332 thanks for the info. I've just looked online and don't think they offer that in my area. I'll have to be all 90's and give them a call 😂

sammielouise · 22/03/2018 23:09

Hi all! Can I join?
30 Years old, BFP first month trying after implant removal! Approx 5 weeks pregnant I think!

mollymoo0 · 23/03/2018 04:45

Hi can I join

I'm 27 and edd is 29/11. I already have a 3 year old with dp. I'm having loads of wind and cramping, nipping feelings.

EL332 · 23/03/2018 06:01

Congratulations and welcome @mollymoo0 @sammielouise and @user1497225361

@GreenGooner I imagine a telephone call is easier and you'll get an appointment quicker too 🙂

Soooo

I've been awake since 5:30

I have a job interview today and I feel like I've borrowed someone else's brain...

Hi everyone!

I got a BFP 2 days ago, EDD is 01/12! We’ve been trying for 6 years and had 3 miscarriages and no children in between! I’m over the moon however I have been getting cramping too and every time I go to the toilet I wipe expecting blood as that’s what I’m used too I guess :( I have a scan next Thursday as they have to keep an eye on me and make sure it’s healthy, however I don’t think they’ll be able to see much!

AppleCocoon · 23/03/2018 06:42

I’ve seen this on so many threads so I have to ask - what does BFP stand for? I’ve been racking my brains but nothing comes to mind.

GreenGooner · 23/03/2018 07:06

@EL332 my wake up time seems to be 5.10am these days 🙄 good luck with your interview.

I shall give them a call on Monday as I'm off work.

@AppleCocoon I think it means big fat positive

Emma198 · 23/03/2018 07:54

This is me! I'm 29 and have been married 11 months. Got my positive test on Monday at 10dpo. Self referred to NHS yesterday and they rang within about half an hour- booked in with midwife two weeks on Tuesday! Due date currently 30 Nov. Congratulations everyone! Good luck in interview OP! X

GreenGooner · 23/03/2018 08:48

@Emma198 congratulations. Same date as me and I tested positive on Monday too!

Did you refer through your own doctors website or is it a national referral? I can't seem to find anything and tried calling but was 27th in the queue 😳

ReiofHope · 23/03/2018 09:17

I'd like to join in! Found out yesterday that I'm 4 weeks along!
I'm 29 and this was a bit of a surprise we didn't think we'd caught it but here I am.
He's still in shock and I'm hoping it sinks in soon. I actually ended up crying at my dads house last night with my stepmum because I felt like he'd rejected it.
Dad talked sense into me though so I'm waiting for DP to calm down.
According to my app I'm due 27th November

Emma198 · 23/03/2018 09:19

@GreenGooner Congratulations! I rang my docs and they gave me the website to self refer on... was specific to our NHS trust. X

melissafrancis · 23/03/2018 09:39

Hi girls!

I'm 27, been with DH for over five years and married a year in May. First pregnancy, on second month of trying so very grateful, 6 weeks today and due Nov 16th! Congrats everyone
