Hi @Waiting4babyN1 they go by the first date of your last period so when was that?

Waiting4babyN1 · 24/03/2018 22:34

The one I had on the 17th of Feb or the one I just missed?

thank you so much for replying

Waiting4babyN1 · 24/03/2018 22:36

@GreenGooner I’m really sorry I’m so bad at this, my last active period was on the 17th, I did the deed on the 2nd of March, and have missed my end of March period now, I’m just confused by how it all gets worked out

GreenGooner · 24/03/2018 22:38

@Waiting4babyN1 they go by the last first day of your last period that you actually had so by that date I work out that you're 5 weeks. The digital tests are notorious for being inaccurate so try not to worry about that!

Waiting4babyN1 · 24/03/2018 22:41

@GreenGooner Amazing thank you so much, so relieved, means I can book an appointment sooner rather than later! Oh really? I didn’t know that! Now I just need to relax and make sure nothing goes wrong :) thank you so much! Smile

GreenGooner · 24/03/2018 22:46

@Waiting4babyN1 I think each practice is different. In mine. I'll meet with the midwife at 8 weeks ish for a booking in appointment then it'll be a scan around 12 weeks.

Yours might be different, sometimes the referral comes from the GP. Give them a ring to enquire. Wishing you a stress free pregnancy!!

Waiting4babyN1 · 24/03/2018 23:10

@GreenGooner oh really? I only registered with my doctors last week so I have to wait a week any way to be on their system so I’ll be seeing them at 7 weeks, they said 6 but I’ll probably wait a little longer, thank you you too! Smile

chloojb · 25/03/2018 02:35

Hi girls!! I’m 19, first baby with my partner, due 20th November according to my app, been suffering with period pain like mild cramps, getting a little worried in case of a misscarriage any other girls experiencing this?? I am going to see the EPAU on Monday! Just getting worried! Congratulations everyone💖

Waiting4babyN1 · 25/03/2018 08:49

@chloojb hi there lovely! Yeah I have them too, they’re pretty normal and last for like 8-12 days because it’s travelling down your tubes ready for implantation, when that happens you’ll have spotting which looks like the start of a period, you know the browny stuff, which will last for 2-4 days, don’t panic :) it’s just your body getting ready to keep your little one safe and warm :)

mollymoo0 · 25/03/2018 09:03

So worried now I'm only 4+3 and last night I was woke up by mild contraction type pain that was sore and I had to breathe a both through it. Only lasted for about 2-3 minutes.

I've had no bleeding or anything. Does this sound like the last of implantation or worse, it was really painful and I never had that with my first pregnancy. (Hoping it was because I've had a baby before so my womb contracted a bit more).

nic000 · 25/03/2018 10:33

I'm due in November with my first. I found out two weeks ago I was 5 weeks but the doctors won't see me and my midwife won't see me until April 13th when I'm 10 weeks. When the midwife called me she didn't ask me anything how I was feeling, my concerns etc just booked me in for 10 weeks. Is this normal? I expected more care for pregnant women especially first time mums because I have no idea what vitamins to take etc, I've had to research it all myself. I'm on a pregnancy app that has said I should have had confirmation scans and everything by now, Just feel deflated from our care system.

Emma198 · 25/03/2018 10:47

@nic000 I'm 4+2 and I put a self referral in on Thursday when I was 3+6, got a phone call about 30 mins later from a lovely lady - not sure if she was a midwife or not and she booked me in for 10 April, offered me an earlier appointment but I couldn't make it. It must really vary from area to area. Sorry you've been unhappy with your experience x

nic000 · 25/03/2018 10:50

@Emma198 hi Emma thanks for replying. I did call my doctors and they just said you have to come in and self refer. Fair enough a midwife did call me that day, but 10 weeks still feels like a lifetime! Apart from sore boobs and tiredness I don't feel pregnant so i just feel in a weird limbo stage at the moment. Hope all goes well with you xx

Emma198 · 25/03/2018 10:58

@nic000 I'll be 6+4 and still seems like a bloody lifetime! I've been feeling sick for a week or so, it's why I tested early. Absolutely shattered and fell asleep on sofa last night and when I woke up to go up to bed my boobs were all of a sudden so sore it's unreal. Hope your appointment goes well when it comes and you have a happy pregnancy 😇😇 xx

chloojb · 25/03/2018 11:48

Thank you so much! Makes me feel a little more at ease, so exciting yet everything worries you every tweak and every twinge! Feel a lot more relaxed now knowing I have other girls to share my experiences with!💙

AaronPurrSir · 25/03/2018 11:49

Had some brown discharge this morning. AF would have been due today so I’m panicking.

Google says it’s normal but I can’t help but fear the worst, have a sick feeling in my stomach Sad

chloojb · 25/03/2018 11:50

@nic000 Hi nic, I put a self referral in and I’m off to see midwife on Wednesday so I’ll be 6 + 1 I was meant to be waiting 10 days for a call back but my gp wasn’t happy with that with me being a first time mum, so got me to recall and ask for a self referral! If your not happy speak to your gp they always give the best advice or just contact the midwife hub direct x

nic000 · 25/03/2018 12:07

@chloojb hiya thanks for replying. I have tried, I even went to a local charity for advice and they said It's normal they don't see you until then which I find shocking. But coming on here and reading that people are being seen earlier it's hopeful. I will ring my gp and force them to see me x

EL332 · 25/03/2018 19:46

Hello - here I think we have a booking appointment at 8-10 weeks and then the first scan between 11 and 14 weeks.

I have done my own reading and stuff and two months is a long time to go without any advice or anything...

How is everyone today?

My boobs feel like they've been inflated, they're big, heavy and sore!

I've had waves of nausea too...

ellsharks · 25/03/2018 22:29

I've got the flu/intense cold for first time ever so I think that's masking all my potential symptoms as I feel ill in every way Sad! 6 weeks today though! Xx

EL332 · 25/03/2018 22:35

Oh no @ellsharks I'm sorry your not feeling well - I hope you wake up feeling a bit better tomorrow xx

OP posts:
Emma198 · 26/03/2018 02:54

@ellsharks I've had the worst cold I've ever had and it literally started about two days after I ovulated - had it for over a fortnight!

EL332 · 26/03/2018 07:46

Happy Monday ladies!

How is everyon feeling today? ❤️

Hi I'm feeling tiny bit tired, and still a few cramps but that's about it for now.

Going to go to the gym to make the most out of feeling ok before i start to get nauseous In a few weeks.

EL332 · 26/03/2018 08:35

@mollymoo0 sounds like a good plan! I hope the gym gives you some more energy!
