Hello

I've just been sick for the first time during the pregnancy - I fed the cat and my nostrils were not happy and then my stomach reacted very quickly 🤢

Just got my first gp appointment! Woohoo! Not until the 17th April though :( but they said I can book in for a private scan, not too expensice either :) will be 8 weeks so should be able to hear a heart beat :)

EL332 · 27/03/2018 19:30

Oops posted that too early!

I'm really tempted to book an early scan but part of me wonders whether it's tempting fate ... I don't know - I'm desperate to but feel a bit funny about it...

mollymoo0 · 27/03/2018 19:42

I'm going to book a private scan soon

ellsharks · 27/03/2018 21:14

I have zeeerroooo symptoms now my colds gone! I have my booking in appt on 12th April & private scan on 14th at 8 weeks. Going to Poland the following weekend and want to enjoy it knowing everything's going swimmingly! If your anxious I think private scans are ideal but don't go too early or you'll be disappointed or it will make it worse xx

Emma198 · 27/03/2018 21:21

I'm worried about a private scan in case it shows a problem but it's too early to know definitely Sad. I'm literally anxious every time I go for a wee in case there's blood.

s0f98 · 27/03/2018 21:38

Hey!

Pregnant with my first baby, going by my period I should be 5 weeks and due end of December but a digital clear blue said I am only 2-3 weeks meaning i am due end of December. Still really confused but can't wait to embark on this journey x

ellsharks · 27/03/2018 21:39

@Emma198 it's completely normal. I've come to terms with that lol. Everyone I speak to, everyone on here, it's natural to be worried and so I've been told, it starts now and never ends! Even when they're 27 like me apparently Grin! What your feelings natural and don't let it consume you. You can't change anything as it's down to genetics. Positive energy ThanksSmile

EL332 · 27/03/2018 22:40

@ellsharks I think I will end up going for a private scan

@Emma198 I feel like I convince myself every bit of discharge I can feel will be bright red blood and also feel
Anxious everytime I go to the loo

I'm trying to be really positive and hold on to the fact that I am doing everything I can to keep me and my baby happy and healthy and that's all I can do! It's easy to say/type but doesn't switch off all the worrying!!

@mollymoo0 when is the earliest you would go for a private scan? @s0f98 I just saw you'd posted another thread too - the clear blue tests count from conception rather than the start of your last period so you'll be 5 weeks based in your dates 😊

AaronPurrSir · 27/03/2018 23:31

I’m so glad I’m not the only one feeling anxious over every single “wet” feeling that it’s blood, and expecting to see blood on every loo trip. I’ve been thinking I’m going mad! But we can all be mad together Grin

AaronPurrSir · 27/03/2018 23:41

Any Fitbit wearers....have you found your heart rate has massively increased?

mollymoo0 · 28/03/2018 08:09

It says from 6 weeks for private scan but I'm going at 8 weeks so that the scan and heartbeat should be clear

GreenGooner · 28/03/2018 11:43

I've FINALLY referred myself to the midwife. The receptionist said that I wouldn't hear from her until between 8-12 weeks though 🤔

EL332 · 28/03/2018 12:55

@GreenGooner I self referred online then called and spoke to the community midwife - in my area we get a letter in the post with the 12 week scan date and then the midwives will be in touch to make a booking in appointment closer to the scan date.. so that would fit with the dates you were told too xx

OP posts:
GreenGooner · 28/03/2018 12:59

Thanks @EL332 it does make sense to not be seen until then but it's just such a long bloody wait. I'm too impatient! I estimate my 12 weeks to be the week before May half term so I'm hoping they can see me when I'm actually 12 weeks, as I'm away on the 13th week and so I'll be 14 weeks by the time I get back. That is such a long wait 😳

Waiting4babyN1 · 28/03/2018 13:30

Panicking big time, went for a wee and when I wiped there was blood on the tissue, not a lot but it wasn’t browny it was red, and I’m really scared!!

GreenGooner · 28/03/2018 14:14

@Waiting4babyN1 spotting is very normal so try not to worry. Do you have the Ovia pregnancy app? This details a list of symptoms etc.

Waiting4babyN1 · 28/03/2018 15:24

@GreenGooner I thought spotting was brown, this was red and had a sesame seed size clot in it :( I’m so worried! No I don’t ill get it now!

GreenGooner · 28/03/2018 15:30

@Waiting4babyN1 NHS says that spotting is common but advises to contact your midwife or GP if you are concerned. Keeping everything crossed for you Thanks

Waiting4babyN1 · 28/03/2018 16:12

@GreenGooner thank you, I’m going to monitor it tonight, haven’t had any more blood but will keep an eye out, if it had continued I would have phoned but it’s settled now, will keep an eye out, god I hope everything is ok!

Blondcat · 28/03/2018 18:17

Anyone else really bloated? My trousers all feel tight today and got a definite increase in size of belly I know it is too soon for anything other than bloating!

EL332 · 28/03/2018 18:54

@Waiting4babyN1 I hope your feeling ok now and are resting up!

@Blondcat I feel like I look about 5 months pregnant 🤰 I'm so so bloated despite my baby being the size of a black currant!
