I am so done with this weather! It's been a bit better the last week or so, has been a lot cooler here especially at night which has made sleeping a lot easier, but yesterday and last night was horrendous. Sounds like this week is also going to be horrendous.

On the plus side this is my last week at work! Grin

Sushirolls · 23/07/2018 16:55

Just popping by to say hello, I haven't posted on here for ages. I hope everyone is well & coping ok in this heat Flowers my DD has taken root in front of her large fan - 32° here today!!

I get to see my DGS again on Friday as my DD's consultant was a bit concerned about his growth, so ordered a scan (everyone else finds my DD bang on for dates, so I think the little monkey was just hiding that day!).

How is everyone? The end is slowly coming into sight! DD is now 33 weeks 🎉

CharXo · 23/07/2018 17:11

I am struggling today! Keep going really light headed - especially when I look down.. i go really dizzy.

TheBlindspot · 23/07/2018 17:35

Mississippilessly · 23/07/2018 21:15

It's too hot. By about 10 degrees. I'm not coping at all well Sad

bluees · 24/07/2018 06:33

@TheBlindspot m mot too sure how to pm. But can u add me to Facebook group as well please.

TheBlindspot · 24/07/2018 07:59

You can't send a pm from the app, you need to log in from your web browser. Can't add you directly I'm afraid sorry.

CharXo · 25/07/2018 19:13

Pains today for me!! If I laugh I get terrible crampy pains and whenever I get up and walk around all I can feel is so much pressure down below!

snowy1982 · 25/07/2018 20:29

@CharXo, that’s not fun Sad no pressure for me yet, but today my legs have just felt like lead, they feel so heavy and have slowed to a snails pace walking anywhere

CharXo · 25/07/2018 21:31

@snowy1982 oh no!! This heat really isn’t helping at all! I feel like baby’s head could come at any moment it’s that bad. Ran myself a hot bath to try ease the pain/uncomfortableness but as soon as I got out it started again!

Gracey88 · 26/07/2018 09:17

Morning ladies hope everyone is staying cool today.

I just wanted to find out has anyone else been getting comments about there bump size?

I keep getting some people say my bump looks small for 32 weeks and then some people saying it looks too big.

Not that I've asked or care what anyone says except my midwife but I'm getting so annoyed and angry as I don't know why people need to comment Angry

I'm a 36 G cup and so my boobs always stand out and it all depends what I'm wearing so my bump doesn't get too fully shine lol

niclw · 26/07/2018 10:16

@Gracey88 I've had the same. I'm 33 weeks and some people say my bump is big and others say it's small. I made a comment to my midwife at the last appt and when she measured me I was slightly bigger than previous measurements but not enough to be a concern. I think as long as your midwife is happy there is no need to worry.

Having problems with John Lewis. We ordered my pram from them 8 weeks ago today and they said it would be in stock in about 4 weeks. My dad wanted to pay so it's all ordered in his name and they won't speak to me about it. So two weeks ago, my dad chased them up and was told they were expecting delivery on 24th. He Chased them again yesterday and got a call back this morning saying they are expecting (not guaranteeing) delivery on 18th August. I'll be 37 weeks. Baby's in my family tend to come early about 36 weeks. So I'm not impressed with hearing this today. My dad is going in to discuss options with them. I'm thinking get money back and I'll drive to mothercare this afternoon. Has anyone had any problems getting prams from anywhere? I want to avoid any further potential problems/delays.

Sushirolls · 27/07/2018 16:23

Afternoon all Smile

@niclw we ordered DD's travel system from Mothercare in the sale and it arrived quite quickly. Oh and she got the car seat free, too Smile

@CharXo DD gets a lot of pain now if she's walking around. DGS is quite low down apparently (had a wellbeing scan today).

DGS is 4lbs 9oz and DD is 34 weeks tomorrow. Consultant has estimated that he'll be roughly 7lbs 2oz at birth Smile

I'm worrying about going away next month, as DD hits 37 weeks halfway through our holiday 🙈

Hope the weather is being kinder to you all today. It's in the 30's here, but we currently have thunder & rain, which is cooling things a bit 👌

niclw · 27/07/2018 17:25

My dad went back to John Lewis who said we could have a different colour with the same package but they screwed him over without him realising. We had one of their exclusive packages originally. Now he has paid exactly the same price without most of the accessories that were originally included. The only plus is that it will be delivered in the next week.

Sushirolls · 27/07/2018 17:42

Ooh, I'd be back there kicking off if it were me. They should honour the original offer in the different colour Angry

niclw · 27/07/2018 17:56

Unfortunately I live 90 mins away otherwise I'd go in myself. My dad didn't sound too happy when I told him so hopefully he will manage to sort it out.

itallhappensforareason · 27/07/2018 18:09

Now officially on maternity leave 😁 (well technically annual leave first but it all rolls into one right).

niclw · 27/07/2018 18:09

Just as I submitted that last post my dad phoned. John Lewis are now supplying the other items too. It's a relief to know that it's all on its way.

Next baby related task: hospital bags.

itallhappensforareason · 27/07/2018 18:16

Good to hear @niclw, glad it's all sorted now! We've got our Mamas & Papas delivery coming on Monday and I can't wait. Got all our big stuff in it like the pram/travel system and furniture. So excited to get everything built and ready.

I need my husband to get my suitcase down from the loft this weekend so I can pack my hospital bag. I've bought everything for it now bar snacks and drinks, just need to pack it!

Sushirolls · 27/07/2018 18:22

Glad you got it sorted & yay for maternity leave 🎉

niclw · 27/07/2018 18:24

@itallhappensforareason I had a tour of the birthing unit at the hospital last week and although lovely and very spa like, they didn't have much room for bags/suitcases. I'm now trying to decide between one big suitcase or a small suitcase and a bag. I'm thinking the big one will be in the way but not sure if I'll get everything in the small ones. I guess I'm just going to have to wait and see when I start packing. I've a few things left to buy before I can do it.

niclw · 27/07/2018 18:28

@itallhappensforareason Forgot to say enjoy putting everything together when it arrives on Monday.

Sushirolls · 27/07/2018 18:44

My DD has packed one labour bag & 1 bag with essentials in, in another bag as she's hoping to come home asap.

She's also putting some other bits together so that I can take them in, if anything changes. Luckily we don't live far from our hospital.
