Hi, just wondering if anyone is having the same experience! I’m about 5/6 weeks pregnant and my skin has become so dry and itchy to the point where it’s peeling off my face, I’ve tried E45 etc but no luck :(

polkadotpixie · 30/01/2018 13:39

@bitzy12 I'm having a bad time with sickness too. I'm on Promethazine for it which is helping a bit but I still feel shitty 90% of the time 😩

Hardheadedwoman39 · 30/01/2018 13:40

@ShanC97 I use weleda face cream - it's all natural stuff and amazing but a bit pricey - you can buy it in health food shops

ellies28 · 30/01/2018 13:59

I've been feeling terrible too, just sleeping and sick at the moment.

I'm having to take some time off work

PinkyPromise77 · 30/01/2018 14:34

Ohsorry to hear you are so unwell ladies! but glad I'm not the only one not being sick as it calms me (just a little)...

Currently food makes it better when I feel nauseous but I never know what I want so hubby is eating himself hehe as I have weird ideas about my dinner :)

@polkadotpixie I'm sorry you are feeling so crappy too. I was on that but it didn't work for me so changed to cyclizine. Go over to the hypermesis thread if you haven't already, some good advice on there.

I'm just struggling with everything, just had a message off my friend saying how sickness is the worst part of it but she really doesn't have a clue as she sailed through her pregnancies it's very frustrating when people sort of look down on you for being so ill. She's suggested her coming round for the day tomorrow to cheer me up but honestly I couldn't think of anything worse. She never even vomited once in her pregnancies, I've been sick 7 times today now :-( Hubby has just sent me a video of himself being daft and dancing away so that's cheered me up abit :-) x

rosegeorgia21 · 30/01/2018 14:59

Hey again everyone 😄 hope everyone's not feeling to bad today. I just had KFC and brang the whole lot back up! Argh just wanna enjoy my food!! X

RedRobin7 · 30/01/2018 15:10

@ShanC97 I've had bad skin as long as I can remember and hoped pregnancy hormones might help it out... that was wishful thinking! I'm 5 weeks too and my skin has gone very dry and flakey. Moisturiser doesn't help at all. Don't want to make it any worse than it already is by applying lots of products. I can't be helpful on this one but wanted you to know you're not alone. It's all for a good reason though Smile

Baby #1
Wasn't TTC as such we had stopped after MC in May and agreed if it happened it happened and it did. Here's our little peanut at 6w+2 now 7w+3. I've been sick once and just now walk about constantly feeling sick. I really wish I was being sick as I know is feel better. Boobs are killing me and are so veiny. Tired a lot of the time too.

Congratulations @Bubblelove92 you're one day ahead of me :)

PumpkinPatch000 · 30/01/2018 15:29

Hello All,

It’s re-assuring to see other people aren’t feeling too sick as well. I came on to ask that very question as I’ve been worrying I don’t feel more sick!

I’m 5+2 and do get waves of nausea but it’s passes after a few minutes and is infrequent, maybe only 2-3 times a day.

Sorry to all of those who are feeling really rough! I’ve read it’s a sign of a healthy baby though Smile so hopefully a good sign x

missamy94 · 30/01/2018 15:31

I'm 6+4 and I'm constantly freezing, even when other people are sweating I'm still cold, I've read on dr Google (I know bad idea) what it could be a sign of a thyroid problem, has anyone any experience in this? Thanks

Bubblelove92 · 30/01/2018 15:36

@missamy94 me!! I'm freezing and shivering all the time. I posted a thread about it last night and a couple of girls mentioned they had it during 1st trimester and it passed. I have my first mw appt on Monday so I will ask her then and report back! X

missamy94 · 30/01/2018 15:42

Thank you bubble I must have missed that! Yes my first midwife isn't till 22nd Feb so will be good to know what you get told!

bitzy12 · 30/01/2018 15:45

@missamy94 I'm also constantly either freezing or boiling. I'm usually too hot when I need to be sick, then after that I cool down and am freezing. Changing body temperatures is considered normal though, it's just another thing that pregnancy hormones put us through. I know thyroid issues could also be possible but I think most drs would put it down to hormones x

PinkyPromise77 · 30/01/2018 16:57

Pumpkin... my sickness started to get bad bang on 6 week ... I hope it stays away for you

ThorsMistress · 30/01/2018 18:21

Hi all. By my dates I’m 7 weeks pregnant on Friday. Got an early scan on Thursday.

I’m terrified its going to be bad news Sad I felt sick and was being sick by this time with DS and I only seem to feel sick now when I’m tired.

CrabbyPatty · 30/01/2018 18:29

Hello, I think I'm about 7 weeks+. I'm another one with minimal symptoms. Some boob growth but no pain and some mild nausea/off certain foods. Nothing like what I expected. Also @PinkyPromise77 my mum had hyperemesis so that was making me anxious. I went down the private scan route a couple of weeks ago and found out I was a couple of weeks earlier than we had calculated from my last mp (initially I thought this explained the lack of symptoms, but I'm still in the same boat). Anyone know how you calculate the conception date?

Hardheadedwoman39 · 30/01/2018 18:30

Question - which pregnancy apps are you all using?

I'm using Ovia but it's a bit boring 🙄

FluffySavage · 30/01/2018 18:41

I'm using Pregnancy ++. You have to pay after 12 weeks (about £4 I think) but I'm liking it so far, plenty of info, daily tips, lovely images and you can take bump photos as you go along. DH has one that's aimed more at men but can't recall what it's called.

niclw · 30/01/2018 18:47

@Bubblelove92 I'm glad I'm not the only one shivering. Last night I had the heating up so high. I've spent all day in a classroom that everyone says is a sauna but I've been shivering in there.
