There was a thread here on babies due in May but for some reason it’s been closed. Anyone is due then?

My lovely little girl arrived very swiftly yesterday evening. We’re both doing well albeit very tired!

PatchworkWellies · 15/05/2018 13:45

Congrats @mctoot!!

LittleFox01 · 15/05/2018 14:15

Congratulations @McTootBlowsOnHisBagpipe x

PatchworkWellies · 15/05/2018 19:34

Half way through May!! Who else is still waiting and how are you feeling?

I'm 38+3, feeling generally ok this week although noticed I'm more irritable - not sure whether due to tiredness or hormones.

Celebrated my son's 2nd birthday today, so relieved that baby isn't going to share the birthday!

BlueRaincoat89 · 15/05/2018 21:09

Congratulations on all the babies!

@PatchworkWellies I'm 38 exactly today and every movement is getting a little harder. I've been more emotional as well recently. I was told at my midwife appointment yesterday that she was 95% sure she'd turned into a breech position so had to go for a scan today. She was head down! Such an emotional rollercoaster!

Are you feeling your baby lower down? I'm needing to pee a lot more!

PatchworkWellies · 16/05/2018 06:56

@blueraincoat, yes more emotional is definitely the word!! Baby has been head down for weeks and sometimes seems really low but then the pressure seems to relieve a bit and I suddenly have more bladder capacity, so no idea what's going on!!

BlueRaincoat89 · 16/05/2018 14:16

@PatchworkWellies I'm the same - I feel pressure down there more in the evenings but can be ok all day. Her feet are still really high too because I can feel them kicking my ribs!

PatchworkWellies · 16/05/2018 14:31

Yes, the rib kicking!! Sometimes it wakes me up at night as can get really uncomfy. That or the need to wee sigh.

SnowWhitesRestingBitchFace · 16/05/2018 21:43

1 week left to go for us and we were told today by our midwife that my bump hasn't grown for 2 weeks so are now waiting for an emergency scan to make sure the placenta is still doing it's job and baby is getting everything he needs.

He's been moving around same as usual but DH and I are terrified.

So pleased to see all of your beautiful babies Thanks

Cat12321 · 16/05/2018 21:47

@SnowWhitesRestingBitchFace I'm hoping that everything goes well for you!

PatchworkWellies · 16/05/2018 21:56

@snowwhite, I had 2 growth scans around 34 weeks because apparently I was measuring small but both times baby had been growing fine. I've had friends with same experience so plz try not to worry too much just yet, could be fine x

Cosmoa · 17/05/2018 20:22

Our beautiful daughter Eska arrived by c-section yesterday evening at 9:33pm!

Still can't believe she's actually here! Smile

PatchworkWellies · 17/05/2018 21:16

@snowwhite, any news? X

PatchworkWellies · 17/05/2018 21:16

Congrats @cosmoa

SnowWhitesRestingBitchFace · 20/05/2018 06:22

Just a quick update for anyone that might be interested (thank you for your nice comments and concern ladies Thanks)

We had our scan yesterday morning and everything is absolutely fine! Not sure why I'm measuring small but baby is 7lbs4 already with 5 days to go before he is officially due and everything is in working order so that's a massive relief!

McTootBlowsOnHisBagpipe · 20/05/2018 10:06

Glad your scan went well and baby is growing well.

I ended up being induced due to my baby’s growth slightly dipping, but she was still born at a nice and healthy 7lb3. Hopefully it won’t be long until you meet your lovely baby.

PatchworkWellies · 20/05/2018 19:38

Great news @snowwhite! 6 days till my due date, getting v impatient now. Amniotic fluid reduces a lot in 3rd trimester so could have been a factor... great that it's all ok tho & hope you have a safe delivery soon x

Redpandamonkey · 21/05/2018 06:27

@snowwhite waiting for the grow scan can be tough I'm so glad everythings ok.

Being induced today...can't decide whether I'm excited or terrified!

How is everyone else doing?

Cat12321 · 21/05/2018 06:57

Morning @Redpandamonkey! I'm so excited for you (and a little jealous Wink)

I'm due tomorrow. I think she's just chilling out in there, though. I went for a long walk yesterday but nothing, not even a twinge!

Best of luck with it all! SmileThanks

McTootBlowsOnHisBagpipe · 21/05/2018 14:38

RedpandaMonkey I was soooo nervous being induced, but actually it was a lot better than I’d anticipated. the staff were lovely and talked to me throughout and from first pessary to baby being born was only 5 hours. Good luck, and hopefully you’ll have your little bundle soon. Grin

PatchworkWellies · 21/05/2018 16:58

Baby Henry born at 8.30am today, v pleased he's here safely and wishing you all the best who are still waiting.

Congrats @mctoot!

Cat12321 · 21/05/2018 17:22

@PatchworkWellies adorable name, congrats Smile

BlueRaincoat89 · 21/05/2018 17:36

@McTootBlowsOnHisBagpipe Nice to hear a positive induction story. NCT put the fear of God into me about being induced. Congrats on your baby!

@PatchworkWellies Congrats on your son too Smile

SnowWhitesRestingBitchFace · 22/05/2018 19:54

@PatchworkWellies congratulations! We're about to have a Henry too! Well when he decides to make an appearance 😬

McTootBlowsOnHisBagpipe · 22/05/2018 20:20

Congratulations PatchworkWellies! Henry is a really lovely name.
