Thanks Natasha yes I've religiously taken my vitamins since I found out I was pregnant (12 weeks!!) I've been trying to eat more carbs to boots my calorie in take. But like you was quite slim pre baby. Thanks so much for putting my mind at rest!! Seeing the midwife in two weeks anyway so I'll double check everything is ok then as well. Hope your pregnancy is going well, two weeks to go!! Xxx

Hi everyone,

I'm having a bit of a wobbly here. I'm a FTM 38+2 and I had a midwife appt today. The midwife listened to the heartbeat and said that it's 150 and it was 'too fast' she then carried on listening for a few minutes to make sure that it 'had enough variation', which it did. She then kept asking 'is she moving?' Which she wasn't. I was so worried that something had happened!

Also said that baby's head is 2/5 engaged.

I'm just very worried as to why her heartbeat was so fast in the first place? Or am I just being silly?

Hoping that someone with experience can put my mind at rest

My baby’s heartbeat was very fast yesterday, the midwife came back an hour later and checked again. In that time she told me I needed to drink plenty. When she came back baby’s heartbeat was nice and normal again. However, befor she left the first time she called he hospital so I could be seen, however there was no free space until 5pm, which is why she came back. So make sure you’re well hydrated, and obviously if you’re concerned about baby’s movements always call the hospital to be seen!

Oliver joined us on 8th May after being induced 4 days early weighing 6lb 12oz. He is perfect and we are loving being a family 😍 Congratulations to everyone on their new arrivals and good luck to those waiting for their little ones

My little one is here too

Our daughter (so much for both our whole family thinking we were having a boy) was born last Saturday weighing 6lb 11oz after I was induced for OC. She's absolutely amazing and DH & I are completely besotted. Home now and we're just enjoying getting to know her, albeit with bags under our eyes

Congrats to everyone else who has had their little ones and good luck to everyone waiting - it'll be so worth it!

Congratulations everyone! Neo is slowly starting to establish a routine had trouble with him feeding so Friday night was hell was teasy all night and nothing would settle him apart fron cuddles but if you put him down he would scream again. But last night since 12pm I've only gotten up twice for half hour a time yay!

I need advice as first time mummy. We are bottle feeding and I have a perfect prep machine but my mum has a bottle warmer at hers and we are visiting later how should you make up a bottle or get one ready if having to use the warmer later? Any advice would be amazing as so many mixed opinions online that I'm too confused with this baby brain still.

@Fizzysx the midwives always say to make up fresh, so I would just take a sterilised bottle and the milk and make up once there. X

@Littlefox01 thanks for the advice, I have brought a couple of them bottles from the shop already made ones too to leave at my mum's now to make it a bit easier or if we stay later than expected and he gets hungry.

@Fizzysx the pre-made bottles are amazing for days out. This is what we have done a few times. I am so glad we bought a perfect prep machine too 😊 so handy!

We are doing really well thank you, Zachary was registered last night so he's officially a little human who seems to be growing and changing every day which is amazing to watch 😍 how are you both doing?
