Great news on the scan bertie!

I hope you get to stick around mrs.

Thinking of you and keeping my fingers crossed kirin.

kirinm · 09/02/2018 11:27

Phew. Saw baby measuring 2 days ahead and a heartbeat of 179bpm. Nuchal scan is in just over 2 weeks so I'll be glad to get that over and done with.

Great news on the scans, bertie and kirin!

'Secret Sad Ladies Club' made me smile in a sad sort of way, MrsMoggins, as it's so spot on. DH and I were astonished when they sent us to antenatal at our 10 week scan how different it was (we'd never got out of EPU before) - so loud and full of smiles. DH said 'I guess this is what it's like to be a normo preggo?'. I can't help but feel angry that even if this pregnancy works out I'll never have got to be one of those women who got to be pregnant and just assume it would all be ok and for it just to be a happy thing. I feel a little bit ripped off when I see women on the pregnancy boards here planning their maternity leaves, picking names and buying babygrows as soon as they get a positive - why didn't I get to have that happy optimism?

BertieBotts · 09/02/2018 11:54

Yes! I have a pic but my phone is so temperamental at the moment. I can post it later if you like.

fidgetsmumx · 09/02/2018 12:29

@lisasimpsonsbff I agree, my first ever pregnancy was a MMC and then every pregnancy since I’ve been convinced it’d end in the epu. It is a bitter feeling, well it is for me anyway. But I guess we’re more realistic? I do feel a bit sorry for those people as they’re obviously oblivious..

@kirinm I’m SO happy all went well!!

Ladies I’m not sure if you’ll know but before this pregnancy I had a loss, so my last period was technically October. Will the midwife work out my EDD based on the day my bleeding with the MC started? Just curious how she’ll date me.
I started losing the baby Dec 10th, stopped bleeding Dec 15th. Which date do you think she’ll use?

Hollymchollyface · 09/02/2018 19:03

Hi everyone, I've been keeping my distance for a while as lots of stressful things going on in life at the moment. Have been feeling really nauseous too, all day and night.
Had an early scan today as I got pregnant straight after my mc the hospital said I needed to have a dating scan before I could book in for a 12 week. I am glad I did because we saw a little bean with a heartbeat and it feels more real now.
@fidgetsmumx your dates sound very similar to mine. I would ring the midwife and ask. I thought that I'd ovulated around the 27th Dec but after the scan today, the date of conception was estimated as a week later.
congrats on your scans @kirinm and @bertiebotts

fidgetsmumx · 09/02/2018 19:07

@hollymchollyface I’m so relieved to have someone in the same situation (obviously wish neither of us had losses)!! What date did you have your loss? I’ve got my first midwife apt Wednesday and I’m unsure whether they’ll send me for an early scan.. I’m praying they do as I’m sure you can imagine anxiety is at an all time high! Thank you for responding.

Hollymchollyface · 09/02/2018 19:17

@fidgetsmumx I started bleeding on the 13th December until the 18th. I was around 7 weeks I think.

keeponrunning85 · 09/02/2018 19:17

Great news on the scans kirin and holly!

I got the date through for my dating to scan today and it is on Thursday. I can't quite believe that we might actually reach the point where we might feel brave enough to tell people!

@hollymchollyface very similar then! How far did your scan make you this time? :) I think I’m between 7-8 weeks but could obviously be about 9.

@keeponrunning85 good luck!

@foxtrotskarloey I think it’s completely normal, I’ve had period type cramps I think there’s a lot of stretching going on there, so long as it’s not blood don’t panic. I know it’s easier said than done right now. First tri is petrifying.

Hollymchollyface · 09/02/2018 19:51

@fidgetsmumx around 7 weeks. I am going back for another one in 2 weeks to make sure all is going well.
@foxtrotskarloey I agree that period type cramps are normal and lots of other weird feelings and sensations. Try not to worry, although I know that is difficult!

MsJuniper · 09/02/2018 21:15

Great news on the scans @kirinm and @Hollymchollyface Smile

Almost time for a new thread... any volunteers?

It’s crazy threads on here can’t go past a certain amount of pages, I’m on a different forum and they just go on forever lol! Do you get more pages in the blogging section?

BertieBotts · 09/02/2018 22:51

No, it's to do with some old limit of the software. It's good I think because it means threads don't take forever to load and you never get stuck wondering whether you were on page 25 or 73, it's only ever one of a certain number (I have 100 posts per page so up to 10 pages) and you can catch up.

fidgetsmumx · 10/02/2018 09:01

Ah ok! It doesn’t affect loading time on the other forum, and tends to take you back to where you last commented too.
Mumsnet is so different! But far more active so more people to speak to :)

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 10/02/2018 10:09

Well the good news is that there's definate line progression this morning!

Sad news is that's the only thing I have for now

BlueeSpottyTiger · 11/02/2018 14:53

Kirinm wonderful scan pic :) congrats xx

kirinm · 11/02/2018 15:17

Thank you @BlueeSpottyTiger I know it's only temporary but it has helped my anxiety levels a lot.

I'll do it. I'm about as confident as I'm going to get after the last scan I think. I'll come back with a link :)
