I'm so sorry for your loss IntelligentPutty especially given the stakes. (I made a similar "last chance saloon" decision before this pg for sanity's sake). I hope you're taking good care of yourself right now and getting lots of support from your lovely family.

Thinking of you Kirin, I really hope it's positive news tomorrow.

Good luck Bertie

Congrats Unicorns!

ThoughtAbout I'd book another appt with your GP (16w appt is with the GP here, is that the same with you?).

Congrats on the healthy heartbeat Flatwhite

I haven't been posting much, just in limbo really. No 16 week appt. for second timers here, so nothing at all between 12 and 20 weeks. I had norovirus on Sunday, gave me a bit of a shock, hope the baby's ok in there. 3 weeks until the 20w scan, fingers crossed. We'll ask to find out the sex this time around and I'm super excited!

GreyCloudsToday · 07/02/2018 13:20

Tbf we are so skint the new baby will be dressed in all boys' clothes anyway!!

Niketan · 07/02/2018 17:10

Hi all. Hope it’s not too late to join. I just found out I’m about 5 and a half weeks pregnant. Had a MMC at 8 weeks in October with my first pregnancy which really knocked me sideways.

Wasn’t really sure I was ready to try again but here we are! Feeling happy but at the same time feeling like I really have to pretend it’s not really happening after experience last time. I’m an expat overseas so trying my to work out when to go to the doctor. Do I wait till 8 weeks so I’m past the point of last time or do I go at 6 weeks and hope for an early scan to reassure me? Last time saw a hb at 7.5 weeks and the baby died a few days later. The idea of going back into that ultrasound room scares me. I know this makes me sound like a maniac. X

itsgoingtoofast · 07/02/2018 17:53

Excellent @MsJuniper! I am still not booked in (although I thought I was!) and it looks like i won't be getting a date booked in until I'm 37 weeks which is a bit of a pain when you have 2 other kids to organise! When I go along at 37 weeks I've to have another scan but I'm not sure what for. Are you having anymore scans?

Can't believe we are 32 weeks!

DontBuyANewMumCashmere · 07/02/2018 18:48

Hey all, I'm out again I'm afraid. #3 for me so at least I have the potential joys of RMC which might be a tiny bit useful?

I know we will try again, I have a wonderful DD but I'm keen to have another and give her a sibling/enemy for life. Grin

Wishing you all the very best of luck and see you all around.
Flowers Brew & Cake for you and Wine & Gin for me Wink

keeponrunning85 · 07/02/2018 19:20

So sorry to hear that cashmere. Look after yourself. I hope your RMC appointment comes through quickly and it is helpful.

Congratulations and welcome unicorns and Niketan. Fingers crossed for sticky ones.

I have a question for those ladies who are further along. When did your boobs stop hurting? Mine have been less sore yesterday and today and don't feel quite as heavy if that makes sense. I'm coming up to 12 weeks so just hoping this is normal. I haven't got an appointment for my dating scan yet.

Hi guys, new to the forum. I’ve just made a thread about my situation (pregnant straight after mc) so if any of you had the time to read it I’d be so appreciative as I’m seeking support right now.

Congratulations to all of you, praying for a happy and healthy 9m. I’ll be stalking this thread if that’s ok xx

MsJuniper · 07/02/2018 20:01

@keeponrunning85 I definitely had a reduction in breast pain from around then, it kind of came and went. It has come back at around 30 weeks but slightly different.

@itsgoingtoofast I know, 28-32 weeks has dragged for me but so happy to have got to this point. I was booked in for 32 and 36 week growth scans already but they've now added an extra appt at 34 weeks. I thought they would want me to deliver around 38 weeks but they seem happy with 39.

@MsJuniper All the cool kids are born on that date Wink

LisaSimpsonsbff · 07/02/2018 20:24

I'm so sorry, cashmere. Hoping the RMC is useful for you (if you want somewhere to talk more about it I found the ladies on the TTC after recurrent miscarriage thread in conception were really helpful to talk to) and that you've got people around to look after you Flowers

MsJuniper · 07/02/2018 22:51

I'm really sorry about your sad news @DontBuyANewMumCashmere - I hope the RMC can provide some help and agree the ttc after mc thread is a great place to find support.

Welcome @fidgetsmumx, hope your stay is long and uneventful

@UnicornsandRainbows1 glad to hear it's an auspicious date Wink

That should have said Every. Single. Day.

LisaSimpsonsbff · 08/02/2018 22:05

Thanks for sharing that flatwhite - me too. I've been having a particularly anxious few days because I've been having lots of cramping (at 17.5 weeks) - my rational brain knows it's probably things stretching out, which is what my midwife said, but it's hard not to feel like it's a sign it's all going wrong.

MsJuniper · 08/02/2018 22:25

Reading that has just made me cry @Flatwhite32 - so so true and the reason why this pregnancy group is the only one I'm on.

@Flatwhite32 A lovely read. I'm only on day 2 and a wreck already

MrsMogginsMinge · 08/02/2018 23:05

Hello - I think you are my new tribe. Just got a BFP after a miscarriage in December. I thought I had processed the MC and had brushed it off but my mental state in the last 48 hrs would suggest otherwise... Am bracing myself for the worst everytime I go to the loo. Exhausting. I just want to go to bed and sleep through the next 8 weeks.

BertieBotts · 08/02/2018 23:21

Scan went really well :) They did an internal which was a bit weird, because I was expecting an abdominal one by now, but no problem. She really whizzed through it which I was slightly disappointed by because I wanted to see waving arms and legs! But she said the NT measurement looks good and I'm still measuring slightly ahead which is probably a good sign? I don't know if it matters at this stage.

Karyotype results have come back but geneticist is on holiday next week so is sending them in the post without commentary - fine by me as I can stalk the FB group to ask for advice! Then we'll have a detailed ultrasound the following Monday and meet with her on the Tuesday to discuss results.

I'm on holiday from work all of next week too so I'm feeling a bit guilty as I've had to ask to extend my holiday for a day to cover my scan on Monday (not sure how long it will take, but possibly quite a while) which they are a bit cagey about and now the only time we could see the geneticist is the Tuesday directly following and I'll have to ask them to move my class on that day too! Dohh! But I'm going to let my boss know tomorrow, so in fact they'll have to let me have time off because it's a pregnancy related appointment. I just hope they won't be too annoyed by it.

As an aside my belly muscles have gone "Ah you're telling tomorrow, that's alright, we can abandon all pretences" and I look about as pregnant as I did at 5 months with DS! Gah! Oh well. It took me ages to get a bump last time and I so wanted one Grin

12 weeks exactly tomorrow :) 🎉

MrsMogginsMinge · 09/02/2018 07:51

Shit. Spoke too soon. Think this might be a chemical. I may or may not be back...

fidgetsmumx · 09/02/2018 08:38

@bertiebots that’s great news, I’m glad all went well :)

@mrsmogginsminge I hope not :( x

MsJuniper · 09/02/2018 09:07

That all sounds great @BertieBotts - a lovely healthy baby. Hope you at least got a picture?

@MrsMogginsMinge everything crossed you are wrong x

Currently at the EPU. These places hold such bad memories for me that I burst into tears once I'd got here. Feeling incredibly nervous.

MrsMogginsMinge · 09/02/2018 09:37

The EPU is known as the Secret Sad Ladies Club in our house. First time I went I was struck by being sat there with women of all ages/backgrounds, looking various levels of stricken, who probably would tell hardly anyone else that they had been there. The secret sisterhood innit.
