Thanks for all the good luck wishes!

Flatwhite32 · 02/02/2018 07:46

Hi @intelligentPutty, your story reads exactly like mine! I had a scan back in December at 6+1 due to a bleed. They could see a sac and yolk, but no baby. I went back 12 days later at 8 weeks and there was an embryo matching my dates with a heartbeat! Like you I feared the worst. I also felt normal at 6 weeks. Really hope you have a positive outcome. Apparently a yolk is a positive sign.
Congratulations @peachgreen! Xx

Lifeofpies · 02/02/2018 08:33

peach congratulations! FlowersCakeBrew
What wondeful news, it’s so so lovely to hear about arrivals on this thread. Wow what a size! Hope you’re recovering well from the ELCS, and I’m glad she’s being a poppet. Enjoy these special early days X

Lifeofpies · 02/02/2018 08:37

Hi intelligent, it’s a horrible wait for rescans, I really feel for you. I think that the sonographer wasn’t phased is a good sign.

hotcookie · 02/02/2018 08:43

Congratulations peachgreen
foreverhopeful21 I feel for you. The anniversaries suck. My due date passed and was in the middle of my FW so was trying to be happy and not dwell on it (didn't really work, but my major meltdown was the week before) Turns out that was when we conceived, but was not a great time for me.
Anniversary of MC was just before christmas, and I had cervical length scans, and midwife appts on the days I had been to EPU, and then my ERPC, so that was stressful and emotional times too.

In other news, our NCT class has been cancelled, and the replacement class they have offered us starts at 36 weeks, with an all day session when I'll be 38 weeks. I'm doing hypnobirthing classes too-do you think there is any point doing the NCT? Considering one of the reasons is to meet people at the same stage as you, and I'll obviously be further along than them?

hotcookie · 02/02/2018 08:44

intelligent I hope it is all progressing properly for you-wishing you all the luck for tuesday.

Lifeofpies · 02/02/2018 08:55

That’s a shame hotcookie. I think ideally you’d want to do NCT so that due dates are similar. That said, DS was early and came before we’d even started NCT classes/met the group. I asked the course leader for the everyone’s emails (she asked the group if that was ok) and once we were out of hospital I invited them for coffee. Although the other babies were born 1-2 months after DS, the group became really tight and we are still close, holiday together, have a babysitting circle etc. The age difference becomes a non-issue after the first months. I know not everyone has a good NCT experience, but in the early days for me it was a way to just get out and see other people and talk through the million and one worries, then after a while and a few nights out firm friendships were formed. I guess it depends if you are likely to have a good group of other ‘Mum friends’?

Congratulations peach! 11lbs, what a corker! Enjoy getting to know her.

I'm pleased to report a good scan for me this morning. Am now 11 weeks so that was my last reassurance scan and next step will be my official dating scan. It is good to know that neither the bath I had last weekend nor the exercise I have done this week have caused any problems despite all my worrying about them!

itsgoingtoofast · 02/02/2018 10:40

Congratulations @peachgreen! I'm glad all is going well, she sounds like a wee treasure. Enjoy these lovely times!

@keeponrunning85 That's great news!

@ForeverHopeful21 I totally get that, and have absolutely been in that position in a previous pregnancy. All I will say is that I found that when my baby was born it really went quite some way to healing me. I'll never forget obviously but I look at my little one and I just know she was meant to be. I know it's a bit woo but I've convinced myself that she came back at a time that was better for her. I know that's a personal thing but it's where my mind got to and it gave me a lot of comfort. This time round I didn't find it so bad as I am in that headspace. Obviously I know that line of thought isn't for everyone, but just to let you know what helped me. I hope the next few weeks are bearable for you Thanks

intelligentPutty · 02/02/2018 10:47

intelligentPutty · 02/02/2018 12:40

Keeponrunning so good to hear of your good scan.** Smile

LisaSimpsonsbff · 02/02/2018 13:05

Missed your post, keepon - fantastic news!

I'm feeling a bit more positive too - midwife (to my surprise) used a Doppler on me at my 16 week appointment yesterday and there's still a little heart beating away in there

BertieBotts · 02/02/2018 13:18

NCT sometimes run bumps and babies/early days groups where you can meet mums at the same stage as you I did the NCT class but we met a mum there who was due to be on our course but her baby was so premature she missed it! We invited her into our group and she fit right in, so that was nice.

Lifeofpies · 02/02/2018 14:05

Great news keepon!

lisa I was going to ask if they had looked for a heartbeat. I have my 16w appt on Monday and really hoping they will try. Glad you got to hear it.

BlueeSpottyTiger · 02/02/2018 15:07

Wow! What a fab weight..Congrats peach 💖
keepon thats great news.
lisa Congrats on the 16 appt & hb! Yay

Thanks Everyone, scan tomorrow. I'm getting more and more anxious as the hours count down. I'll update how it goes xx

Flatwhite32 · 02/02/2018 17:17

The midwife is going to try and find a heartbeat at my appointment on Tuesday. I'm absolutely terrified. I get so anxious before every scan, appointment etc.

intelligentPutty · 02/02/2018 17:36

@Flatwhite32 we'll both be nervous together till Tuesday. Hoping the weekend will fly.
Have you any good distractions? We r painting our bedroom.

Flatwhite32 · 02/02/2018 17:57

Aww thanks @intelligentPutty. It's our first wedding anniversary on Sunday, so that'll be a nice distraction. Hope your painting goes well.

intelligentPutty · 02/02/2018 18:19

Oh that's a lovely distraction. ;) enjoy.

MsJuniper · 02/02/2018 19:18

Congratulations @peachgreen! Sounds like it was all very well managed for your and the baby's safety. That is a great weight. Hope you're enjoying some newborn snuggles right now.

NoParticularPattern · 02/02/2018 19:33

Congratulations peach!! Wow 11lbs is a whopper!! Enjoy your newborn cuddles!!

It is officially my due date today. No sign of any movement really- some slight pressure down below but I’ve not had a show or any loss of waters etc yet so I’m guessing it’s just baby getting heavier!! Hoping the sweep on Monday gets things moving and then if not at least I’ll get a date for induction. It’s 11 days today until the first anniversary of the due date of our MC so I know how you guys are feeling approaching those dates. I’m being irrational and worrying that this baby will arrive on that safe and it’s somehow a doomed date. Which is obviously nonsense but I’m slightly irrational right now I think!!

NoParticularPattern · 02/02/2018 19:35

date not safe Hmm
